2 - Browse the bot by selecting your brand and model.
3 - Download the APK and XML
4 - Load the XML

(READ EVERYTHING BELOW BEFORE ASKING SOMETHING)
How to Load XML's?
(XML's are config files that include all the settings tweaked for a device.
Therefore all the configs are based on personal taste which may suit you or not, that's why it's important for you to try them and use whatever you like most.)
Copy the XML file and paste it into:
(GCam 7) Internal Storage > GCam/Configs7
(IF THOSE FOLDERS DON'T EXIST, CREATE THEM)
To Load a XML open GCam, Double Click on a black area around the shutter button, select the XML Downloaded
and then click on "Restore".)
Your Photos come too dark?
Tap the screen when taking a photo and slide up and down the finger to increase/decrease the exposure of your photo.
This applies to Front and Back Camera(s).
CHOOSE BETWEEN HDR+ AND HDR+ENHANCED
HDR aka (High Dynamic Range) increases the Dynamic Range, the difference between details in the darkest parts of the picture and not washing out in the brightest parts.
HDR+ is just a larger range on this and HDR+ Enhanced even larger again. Basically the phone takes a range of pictures and it combines the underexposed bright parts and the overexposed dark parts into one picture.
If you leave it set to Enhanced, it will almost always give you the best effects and image quality as it gives itself a little longer time to bring together the image.
The only times usually to use HDR+ is when your needing quick snaps of a moving object or if you want a faster shutter image.
SWITCH BETWEEN CAMERAS
Load the XML below and click the small dots on the Viewfinder.
Attention that this is only a recommendation

I'm on the fence choosing between mi 10 ultra and the pixel 5. Would be great to see some day and low light pics here. I wonder how the Mi10 ultra handles Gcam as in shutter lag after pressing the button, ability to "tap to focus", how fast it processes pictures, and if there is some photo quality drawbacks as purple grain for instance. The stock mi 10 ultra has too much "butification" and skin smoothening for my liking.

Funny guy this strngst.

Can anyone confirm that all features of this Gcam works on all four cameras on the Mi 10 Ultra?

Yep. There are 4 "zooms" to choose from, and each are using the specific lenses (verified by covering the camera with fingers).
Unfortunately the tele lens doesn't go to 120x zoom.

if you really want to zoom that far with gcam, try the Wichaya port; you can use the 5x lens and then set the digital zoom up to 100x more -- recommend not going past 30x digital zoom since the viewfinder doesn't show it, but still that's 150x total

Dennis XML file is pretty good, but sadly extremely buggy :/ hope there will be other XML files in the future

3 Questions:
- Does this mean that the default camera will be replaced with GCam?
- What if I want to delete GCam completely. Can all this be undone?
- Is it better than the Stock Camera?

It's simply a standalone app, it will not replace your system camera app.
You can use one or the other as you see fit and uninstall GCam normally at any point.
From my testing, I can't see it as a direct upgrade over the stock camera app, it may just be that Google's post-processing can produce better results in certain situations.
However, it becomes apparent that GCam doesn't natively support this phone, some features of the stock camera are outright missing, such as: 8k or 960fps video, 120x zoom and more
Personally, I prefer the original stock camera app (from the original chinese ROM).

New Nikita GCam update is released with few fixes, when tested with this Dennie's Config XML its giving pinkish overlay for all photos.

Fixed the issue by using the latest Config xml

Just to provide a clear update to available GCam ports and their respective configurations, saving you the need to search through the Telegram GCam group for Mi 10 / Pro / Ultra.
Available ports for the Mi 10 Ultra:
1. Nikita GCam
2. Wichaya GCam
Available configs for the Mi 10 Ultra: see attachments
Both port versions are the latest at the time of writing and they work well with the respective config files (made by Dennis) - tested them out myself.

It's really a matter of personal taste. I liked the Nikita port a bit better.
Give both a shot and you'll see for yourself.

Thanks for sharing. The quality is very good on closer objects but if I take pictures and focus on a specific object in the distance,I just get blurry image and it takes really long to focus. Other than this, it's working really good

The updated Nikita 1.9 Gcam with XML by Dennis is really awesome: Downloaded both from: https://www.miscw.com/download-and-...-mi-10-ultra-updated-15th-nov-2020-32394.html

So, the Pixel 2s camera is amazing! How does Lightroom camera app keep up?

Hi
The camera on Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL is the best imo, and been working great for me.
- Ive been using Lightroom to edit my photos taken by the stock camera app. Never really used the camera app from Lightroom, but I tried it yesterday and it is absolutly amazing when shooting in DNG (RAW) and Professionel mode, where you are able to use manuel control.
Anyone else who has experience with the proffesionel mode in Lightroom with success?
The main question is; in Lightroom you are able to choose HDR photos , and sincs the stock camera app on Pixel 2 use HDR+ as default, I am wondering if anyone has some experience with whether there is a difference between these?
And does any know how it works with Camera HAL HDR+ turned on and using HDR in Lightroom?
Johnny
I got my pixel 2 after the new years holiday. I did some testings with both default camera's normal/ hdr+ / hdr+ enhanced and Adobe Lightroom app raw format, in different lighting conditions. So far I would say without post production and editing, Pixel's default camera app gives everything you need. However there's some raw/dng shots I took with Adobe Lightroom look nicer than google's camera app after editing work done in Camera Raw. I can post some samples if you are interested.
I've been using Lightroom extensively on my iPhone X and the quality of the images (even in JPG) is leaps and bounds ahead of the stock app.
For my recently bought Pixel 2, the experience has been very bad so far. It's five times slower, the quality seems to lack a little and several options are not present or implemented in a worse way than on iOS.
I did not find a way to use the new HDR API (you can activate it in the developer options) with Lightroom yet. The build-in HDR function looks like crap imho.

]Hey guys,
I have been quite busy lately, so this is a brief comparison.
My Pixel 2 took a couple of shots with default camera app in regular, hdr+ and hdr+enhanced modes. If you look at the metadata screenshots, you will find it in the application field, it says:
"walleye-user 8.1.0 OPM1.171019.013 4474084 release-keys" - regular mode
"HDR+ 1.0.177471000z" - HDR+
"HDR+ 1.0.177471000n" - HDR+enhanced
Apprently HDR+enhanced mode merges multiple exposures and create a final result contains the best dynamic range and exposure with good amount of high lights and shadows.
see the back lit tree for reference.

For Adobe lightroom, I took both regular dng (raw) and hdr dng(multiple exposures raw data merged, similar to "merge hdr" feature in the new desktop Camera Raw plugin) In this case the lighting is quite dramatic and tricky, for the same example you will see that the data captured in regular dng isn't big enough to restore the over exposed sky, but the hdr dng which doubles in file size is able to. ( I will upload full res images later to google photos if you want to compare lightroom hdr raw vs. google camera hdr+enhanced)
but most cases lighroom's regular raw dng is able to give you the same results as google's hdr+ enhanced. see this ocean view. The overexposed sky and under exposed trees are fully restored
when i compared photos from lightroom and default camera app, there's not much difference between processed dng files and HDR+enhanced mode. See screenshots of the ocean - dngs are better in a way that they bring up more details in some shadow areas
more examples will be posted soon. I'm having a problem - I forgot which dng files are untouched straight out of pixel 2, without manual adjustment applied.
Great threat/post, thanks so much! LR on Pixel 2 hdr dng is such a hog, it's unbelievably slow, but I think its the only way to shoot hdr+ dng on the Pixel 2, am I right? I've tried camera nx but while it makes dng files and the previews looks hdr I can't ever get them looking hdr-y, they just look like standard one-shot raw files and no app on windows seems to display tue hdr data, even LR classic cc. Would love some more info / posting on this, and any sample files named with what they are, as I can't tell from a couple of your screenshots.
Thanks so much for this! Have you tried camera nx (7.2 ver works on pixel 2 from december 17, anything more recent crashes on ppening. Also, Manual cam dngs?

Google Camera Port
Stable versions and configs for the OnePlus 8T.
While quality on mobile devices has improved a lot in the past few years, Google Camera is often able to produce more detailed photos with better dynamic range. Let's use this thread to compile good/stable GCam versions for the OnePlus 8T.
Features:
- HDR+ Enhanced, Night Mode, Astrophotography, Portrait Mode, Timelapse, Motion Photos, Lens Blur, Panorama, Photo Sphere, Photobooth, Motion tracking.
- Video, Timelapse, Slow motion.
- All auxiliary cameras work, except the depth camera.
- AR Playground/Stickers (follow this guide).
Bugs:
- Video quality is better on the stock camera, specially video stabilisation and slow motion.
- Due to OnePlus' decision to restrict access of 3rd party apps to the extra cameras on Android 11, you'll need to use specific "package names" (eg: use the links on this thread). Some cameras (eg: front wide) may still not be available even with the right apk.
How to:
1. Download APK (pick the first one if in doubt).
2. Download config file (often not required, but may help with quality).
3. Install APK file.
4. Load config file.
A short video tutorial is available for new users.
Downloads:
Some notes:
- WARNING: On Android 11, you need to use the "snapcam" package in order to use all cameras.
- = Recommended version.
- To avoid issues when viewing media from inside GCam, install the Google Photos app (can be used without uploads/Google Account).
GCam 8 (Android 10+):

Keep in mind that this is still a new base and lacks the features and stability of older versions. I wouldn't use it as the main camera app.
Can't wait to see how this compares!
Config files are not updated for Nikita v2. 0 and oneplus 8T....
But everything looks nice in Wicharya snap apk...
Note: Configs from one version usually work well on the next one. A config from Nikita's 1.8 should work on 2.0 without any issues.
Is there a way to view media from GCam without installing Google Photos? I love GCam but I would like to avoid Google Photos. I heard there was an option in dev called "camera.use_photos" but I can't find it.

There are lots of versions that work on OnePlus phones, so it's normal not to list all apks. It can be confusing for new users.
Then there's the GCam base. Nikita is based on Arnova's version (or at least relies on a lot of code), so when suggesting one, you may not have to suggest the other. Same with Wichaya (based on Urnyx's version).

Google removed the internal gallery with GCam 7.3, so you'll need Google Photos or an external gallery. It can be the default one on your phone, but not all gallery apps deal with the processing delay very well and it can be annoying to see the last picture.
Explore the settings menu of the app you're using and try to find the setting to use a 3rd party gallery. Then, when viewing a picture/video from inside GCam, Android should ask you which gallery you want to use.
I use Gallery Go as it works better than Google Photos for me. It's also from Google, but it doesn't have any of the login/upload stuff.
I've downloaded 15 different GCam apps and XML's, uploaded photos to compare them to google drive. Please let me know which one looks best.
Also, I've started a Facebook Group for OP8T GCam discussion. Please join!

That's the one I tried really many times. Snapchat version.
(I also tried some of the others with nu luck)
I have installed the xml file and can choose it.
When I press wide, the screen turn black and the app close down after a few seconds.
Main camera works.
I think, maybe I'm wrong? that it works on 8 pro, or something, be course I can choose tele and macro. (If I do that, same happens as when I try to use wide)
I also tried to change what camera to use in settings.

GCam Collection, Configs & Discussion

This is a collection of working Google Cameras (GCams) for the Galaxy A20 & A20e.
This thread is not in its final state and will be updated over time. If you want to add/edit something, feel free to tell me.
ImportantAll of the following GCams require to enable RAW Capture with this Magisk module.
This shouldn't be required on recent versions of Eureka ROMs. To check whether you need the module or not, download the Camera2 API Probe app. If the "Hardware Support Level" is set to "FULL" and "RAW capture" is available, you don't need to install it.

If you don't enable RAW Capture, you'll get a black screen and only video recording will work.
GCamsBSG's MGC 8.1Download (I suggest you to download the com.samsung.android.scan3d version)
Advantages:
Very stable, handles all the cameras without any problems
LOTS of configurations, each camera module can have different settings
Disadvantages:
Slow performance, but this is expected in our low-end phone. However, other GCams are a little faster, specially when switching between modes (photo, video recording, night sight...)
Slow Motion doesn't work
Motion Tracking doesn't work
Astrophotography doesn't work
Configs:
@TBM13's config: Enables the wide camera and disables the zoomed front camera. On the back camera, increases sharpness, sets correct AWB model and enables motion photo. Download
@SerbianGeek 's config: Increases contrast and makes colors more vivid. Download
Tutorials:
Enable wide camera
Remember that your ROM needs to expose it. For more information check the FAQ below.
Go to Settings->Modules>White list then type 50 , press Ok and restart the app
Enable motion photos
Go to Settings->Global and enable "Motion Photo"
Go to Settings->Modules->Back (1.0) and set "Module hardware level" to "Level 3". This will make Motion Photo work on the back camera.
If you want to enable Motion Photo on other camera modules, repeat this same process on them.
FAQ / IssuesBlack screen. Only video recording worksMake sure you installed the Magisk module to enable RAW Capture.
Sometimes the phone lags / freezes / reboots while using GCamThis happens to me quite a lot. Sometimes the phone freezes and I have to reboot it holding volume down + power key, and other times it reboots itself. This is most likely a software issue on our camera library, and nothing can be done for now.
Closing all other apps before opening GCam seems to help a lot with both the overall performance and stability, so I suggest to do this.
Wide camera is not detected / doesn't appearYour ROM needs to expose it. You can check this using the Camera2 API Probe app: if it's being exposed, you should see a camera with ID 50 at the bottom of the list.
Additionally, some GCams also require to change some setting.
How to expose the wide camera? If your ROM doesn't expose the wide camera, as far as I know nothing can be done.
However, if you are using PHH's AOSP GSI or any other based on it (like LineageOS GSI, Pixel Experience GSI, etc.), you can expose it by going to Settings->PHH Treble Settings->Samsung Features-> Tick "Enable access to all cameras" and reboot.
Photos aren't saving when HDR is enabledThis seems to be an issue in newer GCams, like in BSG's GCams newer than 8.1.
I haven't found a fix for this.
Night sight photos are pinkish and blurryThis seems to be a common issue in all GCams.
A workaround is to lock AF/AE, which can be done by pressing any part of the screen to focus and then pressing the lock that appears at the top right.
This needs to be done every time before you take a photo with Night Sight.
Slow motion doesn't work!I haven't found any GCam with working slow motion as of now. Seems like our phone just doesn't support it.

I have cleaned the thread a little bit and also uploaded my config for BSG's 8.1 GCam. Most of its changes are on the back camera, as I made it for personal use and I don't really use the front and wide cameras. It'll probably be updated over time, when that happens I'll try to notify it by commething here.

Hello
Here a new GCAM version with pixel binning
Shamim: GCAM_8.4.400.42.XX_SHAMIM_V21
Download GCAM_8.4.400.42.XX_SHAMIM_V21 by Shamim.
www.celsoazevedo.com
Gcam SHAMIM
In this version, you will have several shooting modes, including one with Pixel Binning, to be able to do crops, or cuts without losing an iota of quality!
My first xml for this new Gcam is attached
THIS XML GOES IN THE "GCAM/CONFIGS8.4" DIRECTORY
In this version, you will be able to find a very high definition, thanks to the implementation of Pixel Binning to be able to make crops, without losing absolutely any quality!
This xml also has several types of shooting modes:
: In this shot, the sharpness is increased by 1.50 more than the normal shot, for shots where you need an extra definition!
: Macro mode, worked for this 2Mp sensor.
: Main mode, shot with real quality and color representation, with very good definition.
: Ultrawide mode, also worked great
: Shot prepared for when there is little light.
To the left of the viewfinder you will also find some modes to combine the types of shooting:
LDR: Low dynamic range shooting.
SHADE: Adds a vignette effect to the shot.
HiRes: I love this mode Here you have Pixel Binning, activated on all lenses.
In this mode, you can take full advantage of your optics.
When shooting with the Main lens, you will take photos in 105Mp.
In macro, 14.5Mp.
In selfie, 71.9Mp.
In Ultrawide, 60.4Mp.
This mode is absolutely compatible and combinable WITH ALL SHOOTING MODES AND STYLES!
This is not pixel binning. The camera scales the images up. He adds pixels to it.
upscaling is this.

Hello
Here a new GCAM version with pixel binning
Shamim: GCAM_8.4.400.42.XX_SHAMIM_V21
Download GCAM_8.4.400.42.XX_SHAMIM_V21 by Shamim.

Gcam SHAMIM XHT

For some reason I cannot find that directory to place the xml file. Can you provide the location where to find GCAM/CONFIGS8.4?

Thank you much appreciated!! So far everything seems to be working fine except for pictures are coming out green. I wonder if it's due to my phone being the redmi note 11 pro 5g?

If you want Gcam which can perform pixel binning on Main camera to 12MP, try LMC gcam. I'll add my config here (Copy it to Internal Storage/LMC8.4/ ).

Will try this too, thanks!
How is this camera's performance after Gcam? I'm tossing up getting a Poco X4 Pro 5G. Also quite surprised it can't do 4K video, is anyone able to explain why this is? I've had 4K video on my super old Galaxy Note 3, not sure why a new 2022 phone can't handle it... artificial limitation perhaps?

I think it is the chipset limitation.

[GCAM CONFIG] cpkelley94 GCam 8 Config for Lineage/AOSP ROMs

cpkelley94 OP8T Google Camera Config for Greatness 8.2 on Lineage/AOSP ROMs
AboutHi everyone!
I recently purchased an OP8T and switched over to LineageOS 18.1 and I am loving the experience; however, I lost the OOS Cam in the process (which wasn't very good anyway in my opinion). I had previously used GCam on my OP3T and was able to get wonderful photos consistently. However, I wasn't quite happy with the experience of GCam on OP8T. A lot of fundamental work has been put into the base configs by others (big thanks to enerGy!), but I wasn't quite happy with the photos I was getting from these configs, so I am building my own, starting from enerGy as a base.
I am continuing to work on improving this config over time and will post updates periodically with a changelog complete to the best of my ability.
Features
All major cameras working (Main, Ultrawide, Macro, FFC) with an easy toggle in the app (Macro does not work on some AOSP ROMs)
Natural saturation profile and exposure indoors and outdoors (my preference for saturation profile is somewhere between the Pixel and Samsung Galaxy)
Zoom slider that auto-hides
Night Sight, Portrait mode, Sunset mode, Astrophotography, Video with stabilization, Slow Motion video working
Strong auto-focus with manual option by selecting a position in the viewfinder, object tracking enabled
Known Issues
Macro does not work on some AOSP ROMs
Because of the way RAM Patcher is implemented, the saturation profile of the FFC is currently tied to the back cam that is currently selected (Main, Ultra, or Macro). For best selfie results, switch to the Macro cam (if available) before flipping to the FFC.
Main camera is still locked to 12 MP binning. Working on seeing if this can be fixed via Magisk module.
Video quality currently isn't as strong as OOS Cam.
Note about OOS vs. Lineage/AOSPSimilarly to the OP7 series, it looks like various configs and registers have been implemented by OnePlus in OOS to improve photo quality in the OOS Camera on OP8T. However, these registers interfere with the quality of photos in GCam. In my experience, the photos I get from this config and GCam on LineageOS surpass the quality of OOS Cam, but your preferences may be different. This also means that this config is tuned for parameters in AOSP/Lineage ROMS and may not achieve optimal results on OOS or ROMs where OOS Cam is enabled. Let me know your experience.
EDIT 07/12/2022: It appears that the availability of the Macro camera to GCam is ROM-dependent. Macro is confirmed to work on LineageOS 18.1, but has been reported to crash in ArrowOS and SparkOS. If you are on an AOSP ROM and the Macro does or does not work for you, please feel free to report either in this thread or by DM. Thank you!
My SetupI have only tested this config on my own device, info here:
Variant: KB2007 (T-Mobile)
Firmware: KB2005 (latest A11)
Android version: 11
ROM: LineageOS 18.1
GCam: GCam8.2.204_Greatness.211115.1033Release_Snap.apk
I expect this config to work well across many OP8T device configurations, but if you have a different device setup and this config does or does not work well for you, please let me know!
Installation Instructions
Download and install GCam 8.2 from Greatness. The version I use is available here. Be sure to download the Snapcam version (org.codeaurora.snapcam).
Download the config available in this post and place it in /sdcard/GCam/Configs8. Create these directories if they do not already exist.
Open GCam and double tap on the black region below the viewfinder to open the config selection menu. Choose this config and tap Restore.
Enjoy!
AcknowledgmentsBig thanks to enerGy for the starting config and all the GCam porters for their tireless work. And thanks to you for trying this out!
Version InformationCurrent config version: v2
GCam version: Greatness 8.2.204

Thank you for sharing this. Does the app crash when you open the Macro camera, or after you take a photo? Are you able to take any photos with Macro without it crashing, or does it crash every time?
How is the performance with the other cams?
This is working great on LinageOS 18.1, thanks alot for the contribution!! Lovely pictures.
Can't wait for a Magisk module, for the limitation of 12MP.
I also tried with the updated Gcam apk, and can't see any issues in the application. How come you use the older version?

Great to hear it works for you on the new APK. No specific reason I haven't updated my app, just haven't had time to test the new version and I have been sticking with what I know works for now.
It looks cool, but unfortunately the app crashes when I select the first lens from the bottom. I also tried to activate macro mode in the settings (it was not enabled by default) and the same happens, the application shuts down.
I recorded what it looks like:
https://streamable.com/ah9ms8
I am using the ArrowOS 11 rom.

The same thing happened to me as well. Everything else is pretty good, but the macro lens doesn't seem to work properly, and the camera app crashes.
Config version v2 released, available in OP (07/12/2022):
Increased saturation for Main and UW
Balanced RGB color profile for Main and UW

Thanks so much for reporting this and for the recording. I have updated the OP to reflect that Macro appears to be unavailable to GCam in some AOSP ROMs. Macro has been working well for me in LineageOS 18.1.
I anticipate this issue will require more than just a config change to fix, but I will look into it.
I needed to enable the Macro lens in the settings as Camera 3, but then it worked. It takes pictures and focusses properly, although the Pics are a bit grainy (but as far as I remember this was the case in OOS as well). However when I first enabled it Camera 3 was labeled as Tele, had to rename it. Camera 4 & 5 don't work and lead to an immediate crash. I guess there is no way to enable the real Tele Lens, because tapping on the 2x Button just seems to zoom in on the main camera.
I am on Arrow OS 12.1, latest OOS 11 Firmware and GCam8.2.204_Greatness.220428.0041Release_Snap.
Thanks for your work! This is by far the best config I found so far.
Usong Greatness Snap abd this XML, macro lense crashes gcam.
Thanks for your work... Your xml is amazing

Thank you for the info! Btw the OnePlus 8T does not have a telephoto lens-- only main, ultrawide, macro, and a small monochrome sensor.

Oh of course, you're right. Got confused by the amount of cameras
Macro is crashing on AOSP roms and human portraits having a dark skin tone. Waiting for update
