If there is a custom kernel available for that particular Rom then you can flash it. Read CM11 Rom thread. If there is a kernel available in that section, flash it otherwise ask them about the kernel because many roms come with overclocked kernels and many aren't.
Any word on stock custom Roms or are we waiting for tweaks and other mods to be ported to lollipop?
