Windows Media Player 10 can't update library

Hi,
I'm having problem updating my storage card library with Media Player 10. It was OK a few days ago, until i put some files or installed some software into it.
Now, my media player can't add files from storage card. It detected the media from the storage card but refuses to add it. When I try to open My Music in my storage card using Media Player, it returns an error, 'An unexpected error occured'.
Anybody has this problem?
Thanks
Where did you get media player 10 from? Have you tried making a directory on storage card called "my documents" and placing the audio files in there? I know this works for earlier versions of media player so its worth a try.
me too.

WM 6.1 Media Player doesn't load mp3s?

I haven't really used my phone as an MP3 player, but now I have a nice, big SD card in it and have decided to copy some songs over.
When I load up Media Player (I like it. So sue me.) and tell it to update the library, it doesn't see the MP3s I put on the storage card. I tried putting them in the My Documents/My Music folder on the card and I even tried putting them in the same folder as that stupid Dogbark file in the main memory and the library NEVER finds them. Is there a trick to make media player see MP3s or what? I can open the files manually and Media Player will play them just fine.
Edit:
I wanted to mention that, when I do 'Update Library', the phone says it found 40+ files, but the device library only shows 4 files (dogbark, mommy, allouete and ding) and the storage card shows nothing.
Did you switch to Storage Card (Next to the Library button there is a drop down menu)?

[Q] Music not being saved on micro sd card

So i have a droid 2 global and everytime i try to save music on the sd card it disappears. I tried copy and pasting, doubletwist app, and now easy phone tunes. and it still does not show anything on the sd card. whats wrong?
Make sure there is no .nomedia flags in the folder you are saving your music.
Clarification: .nomedia is an empty file you put in a folder that you want to be ignored for scanning for media content. If such file is present, player will skip this location
Sent from my DROID2 GLOBAL
there is no such file in my folder. it just wont save music on my sd card. it says its saved and when i unplug the usb and try to play it on the phone there is no files present

the filetype might not be able to play in the media player (depending on media player) have you considered this? I know I use mostly mp3 but if you have AAC(apple conversion) or another it might not play.
fake sd cards
Are you using the original sd card?

[Q] Deleting movies in Android 5.x

In MX Player pro, running on Android 5.x, I tried to delete a movie (longpress and click trashcan icon).
The movie was stored on an external SD card. I am aware that google thinks there will be chaos if all apps were allowed to write willy-nilly to an external sd card, and so there is a special API which on the first write attempt has the user select a directory under which a program will have write access.
I selected the directory in which I keep movies, but MX player was then unable to delete the movie as requested.
Only if I select the root of the external card will the delete work. To be fair, MX player did ask me to select the root of the external SD card, but I think this defeats the purpose of google's api. Would it not make sense if MX Player could be given write access only to the directory tree under which it has a reason to write?

File Manager issue "seeing" files, but not "Categorizing" them

IT FIXED ITSELF. Don't ask me how but I just booted the 700, open FM (file manger) and low and behold all the files on the microSD are showing in the category section ! ! !
TF700 on 7.1.2_27, using Asus File Manager v2.0.0.397_180123.
Ok here's what it's doing, I can use the file manger fine to browse the microSD card, but none of the file are showing in the "Category" section and the are in the correct folder (ie. music, pictures, ect.). I have scanned the microSD card for .nomedia and none were found. Also when I copied some songs to the music folder on the internal storage they show up in the category bubble for Music. Also because file manager doesn't categorized the media file on the microSD card correctly, Gallery and my music player do not show the files, but they will open and play music is I select individual files using the file manager.
Another thing, everything was working fine, it wasn't until after I copied a few songs from my cloud to the microSD via PC, reinserted the microSD in the TF700 that this problem started.
