TF700t server connection issue - Asus Transformer TF700

Hi all
My tf700t machine is still stuck on jellybean 4.2.1. It works painfully slowly...but it works, internet ok, just OS is annoyingly slow.
My problem is that when I check in 'about tablet' tab for update check I get 'server busy, check internet connection error' message. As I said, the tablet connects to the net just fine, it's just in this update area that I have the problem. I even download kingoroot then loaded 8.1 Oreo and all was fine until the part in the install process where it wanted to check for new updates and the same server issue arose.
I feel sure this is simple switch thing somewhere but can't find any info similar online.
Thoughts, help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Dave

Hello,
I have the same issue and heard that it's related to the CA and https certificates..

Strange internet sharing problems...

Hi guys,
I'm having an issue with my USCC TP2 (Flashed with the latest "Neodium" rom 6.5). I cannot go online anymore using the Internet Sharing app. It gives me <none> for the connection (see attached), even though I have it set up in the connection settings page with the correct user and password and it works okay on the phone. It also is having problems with the Wifi Router app, it gets stuck on "Waiting for Connection" even after the data connects. It also won't share over bluetooth anymore, it doesn't even give me that option in the Internet Sharing. This happened a few days ago after downloading a rather large file I needed. Thought my ROM got corrupted since I was using one a 6.5.5 one so I hard resetted and it worked for a few minutes and got the same error, so I tried downgrading to a stable WinMo to no avail. I remember there being a regular USB modem driver when I had my 6800 that bypassed the sharing and connected directly. Anyone have any info on that? I use XP 32bit and Windows 7 64bit. Could USCC have sabotaged my phone or something? I am moving over the weekend and have no internet till then, so I really need it working!

[Q] WiFi strange behavior

I got my daughter her tab 7.7 about 6 months ago & had been going on perfectly. Android version is 3.2 & I have no easy measures to update for the time being.
For internet connection she uses only my WiFi secure connection. It was working fine all this time.
Today she can't log to her Facebook account via the Facebook app. I checked it out to find that I can log in via the browser but not the app. I thought it may need updating and tried Google play store but I was astonished to find it not working too as it gives me "No Connection. Try again".
I noticed that the WiFi mark is white & not showing the green strength marks, but connection is confirmed by the WiFi name. I was shocked when I tried the software update from "about" when it gave me the "no connection message" despite working WiFi connection. Samsung app is working perfectly & I can update its applications.
Also funny thing happened, when I tried the browser it kept giving me certificate errors many times.
I tried the VPN as I googled around but nothing changed. Same problem.
Switching off & on didn't help either.
Any Clues??
Thanks
Most strange thing happened.
Everything is back to normal without me doing anything.
I left the tab for a while while writing the previous post.
When I came back I found the app update mark showing up, I turned on the WiFi & touched the update icon, the strength signal showed in the WiFi & update started the goggle app. All went normally. Facebook app worked & even the browser certificate errors disappeared. The software update in the "about" worked fine & checked & found no updates.
What is going on...
Can anyone explain to me what's happening?
Thanks

Try Power Cycling your modem/router. That often corrects connection issues. Presume other devices were connecting just fine?

WLAN only working with WPS for me

hey guys
today i received my n5 and i am very happy of that fact!
but at beginning i still have an issue - or hopefully not
model s/n 310xx
everything gone fine since starting the setup guide where it comes to connect to a wlan network. there are several listed in my region including mine (all are fritz boxes)
when i try to connect to any network and it comes to enter the password - i do
but then when connecting it does nothing, as if i pressed cancel
after that randomly the networks getting a status of "deactivated" - so the device is not even trying to connect to any
i got rid of it using the WPS method with my router and could connect, but that cant the the solution. i would not be able to connect to any network without WPS?!
i am still running the forced update at beginning (my connection is very poor over wlan and traffic of my h+/3g is gone before..)
so i hope it will be solved after update... but has anyone else made any experience like this?
after update all is fine. thread can be closed

[Q] Original 4.1.2 wifi connection issues

As the title says I am currently experiencing issues on my stock JB 4.1.2 SII skyrocket, the phone is rooted but everything else is stock.
The issue I am having is that when trying to connect to wifi outside of my home the phone will not connect even though the signal is strong enough in the wifi menu, keeps saying disabled or authentication error. these are hotspots provided by TWC and have no password associated. They only require you to connect and log in on the site with your information from your cable provider. Thing is the phone will not connect no matter what I have tried. I've read around and seen that this is or was an Issue with 4.1.2 in general but i was wondering if anyone can please take the time to help me out? I Looked around the forums for other people with a similar issue but have found nothing, so I apologize if this has been answered before. Thank you for your time and help

Internet connectivity problems

Hey guys,
I have a problem with my nexus, I've noticed that my internet on my phone is acting quite...strange to say. I have a dual band router(d-link 880l) and on my phone I only use the 5GHz one. it's the only device in my home that has problems.
The problem is that when searching something using the google bar it takes ages until I get the desired result, on youtube app sometimes when I open it ,it won't load anything, the second I close it and open it again it works, some videos just refuse to start until i restart the whole application, sometimes whatsapp doesn't connect to their server I have to restart the app to get messages, or to see las act of people,on facebook messenger is the same story, when i send a message it won't send ,it acts like I have no internet connection, until I restart the app. Ironically I get CONSTANT 81mb/s download and 91mb/s upload in speedtest.net app.
I really don't know what to do ,i've forgotten my network, tried connecting on 2.4GHz,put my wif i mode only in 2.4GHz,enterd recovery cleard cache partition, unninstaled whatsapp, youtube,fb messenger, google app, deleted all google play services data, restarted phone, neither of those fixed it...
Can you help me...?
Are you running the latest stock ROM or some other ROM/kernel combination?

I'm running rastapop 5.1.1 LMY48I with elementalx 4.04 since august 2015 with no fancy kernel settings or mods, just adblock and xposed over the top.I started to have this problem since november.
I did a factory reset on the router and I still have the problem.
To rule out software being the problem, I recommend flashing back to stock to see if the issue goes away.
I own a D-link DIR-850 (dual band AC router as well) and I am experiencing kind of the same problems. I have a Nexus 5 with latest firmware (MMB29S) but have had these issues for a while already. My girlfriends HTC One mini suffers from these problems as well. Most annoying is the seemingly random disconnects from whatsapp, I guess caused by Google Play Services being unreachable as at that same time also the Play store and other services relying on it are unreachable. Not sure whether this is an Android bug or caused by a bug in the Dlink router, which off course has been reset to factory defaults and checked for updates several times
Strange thing is that at the times that the Play Services are unreachable, other (plain internet based) services such as browsing with Chrome are working just fine.
I did some research on this compatibility issue between an android phone and a d-link router after I discoverd I'm not the only one.
The problem turned out to be some bug that is present in a way or another in android since lollipop , I think that lollipop(my case) is getting stuck when trying to do a DNS lookup ,but the problem is that it only happens on my home network, I don't have any problems at my friends wi fi or a public one. So my router isn't playing well with lollipop or the other way around.
The only solution I found to this problem is to disable ipv6 on your router or on the phone. So I did ,made a script that changes a value in a file, here it is : "echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/wlan0/disable_ipv6". With this I disabled ipv6 protocols on my phone(i've verified "disable_ipv6" file just to be sure that the value is "1") . Everyone bragged about it that it sloved their problem. Well guess I'm not that lucky, the problem still persists on my phone...
I've tried everything in the book...guess that this brand new 150 dollar router is not that impressive as they say...
I don't really want to factory restore my phone,I want to be my last option...the guy above me said that it did the factory reset thing and it didn't work so guess that it isn't an option after all...
If someone can help me(us), i will be very pleased...
At my workplace we have an Asus RT66NU providing the wifi, where I have never had any problem with this.
As you are suspecting it has something to do with the ipv6 stuff, I'll be experimenting with this a bit to see if something changes. First test is putting the autoconfiguration setting to SLAAC+stateless DHCP.
Next step will be disabling ipv6 at all.

I tried with PPPoE( my internet connection ) on ipv6 that is shared with my ipv4 session with SLAAC + stateless DHCP and stateful DHCPv6 . At first it was promising but in the end it didn't really solve my problem. Just for the record ,I had my ipv6 settings before on local connectivity only .
