Since there is a minor difference in the specs sheet of X3 NFC and X3 Indian version, Custom Roms will be the same for both devices or different builds of the same rom is required for both devices??
Pretty sure it will require different builds.
But the good news is that it probably won't be hard to port a rom to the other device.
@ingbrzy any thoughts on this?

I just got my Xiaomi POCO X2 (without realising I've bought it as REDMI K30 on Aliexpress). Found out that there's no NFC option in the settings. When I tried to setup GooglePay the app told me that something wrong with my ROM.
All the specs on the Internet say that both POCO X2 and K30 support NFC. I wonder if it is a ROM issue and how do I get one that would make the NFC chip operational.
My current ROM is MIUI Global 11.0.2 | Stable 11.0.2.0(QGHINXM)
Thank you in advance!

Hi!
The problem is that POCO X2 will be only launched officially on Feb 4th. Therefore, there's no such model yet, as well as no official Global ROM exist yet.
What is being sold on Aliexpress is Chinese version named Redmi K30. The fake "Global" ROM is installed by sellers, and in many such cases the the phone sale page clearly says "Global ROM NO NFC", "China ROM WITH NFC" - which only means that Global ROM (phone) is not certified by Google, so NFC will not work.
What to do?
You need to install either Official China ROM or custom ROM like MiRoom or xiaomi.eu with Magisk& Magisk Manager/ Ten hide your rot access (and unlocked bootloader) from Google Services and Google Pay.
Again, the temporary (!) problem is no TWRP is available yest to install custom ROMs and Magisk. (just wait )

Thank you very much!
That explains my problem pretty well.
I'll research that topic further.

If you bought poco x2, I think they have removed the entire NFC chip from the PCB itself...but global k30 has the chip just the ROM doesn't have support for it. EU rom would enable it
Guys Please Help Me To Find Me The Correct Answer..
Iam On Poco X3 (Karna) Non Nfc 6000mah QJGINXM MODEL I have Unlocked My Bootloader And I Want Install Twrp And flash Custom rom But I Can't Find Any Official Custom Rom For Poco X3 (Karna) Indian Model All Official Custom Rom is made for Poco X3 Nfc (Surya) But Both device Have Same Hardware.....So I Want To Know That If I Download Surya Custom Rom and Flash It On my Indian (Karna) Model Is It Will Brick mY Phone?? Or Work Properly Because Global And Indian Versions hardware Are same The Different Is Indian Model Does Not Come With Nfc But Global Have nfc..
Most of the roms uses a unified kernel that has everything you need to work with both the Indian and global versions.
The PE developers explicitly state the compatibility of the firmware in the description here.
[ROM][11][SURYA/KARNA][NEW] PixelExperience [AOSP]
PixelExperience for Poco X3/Poco X3 NFC [surya/karna] What is this? PixelExperience is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, icons, fonts, boot animation) Our mission is to offer the maximum...

Even installing the firmware(vendor) from Karna on Surya did not prevent the phone from working (except NFC)

Long answer : Yes you can.
Short answer : Yes.
Unless the ROM developer specifically states in the description that you should not do it. Read each ROM description for more info.

Indian model and NFC are same only difference is the charging , hardware is same . So u can install NFC rom kernel etc
Hello everybody. What is the best custom kernel for poco X3 nfc?
What Custom ROM to be used is always a matter of taste. Each has Pros and Cons.
I have poco x3 (indian variant). I want to flash pixel experience in my phone. But they are made for poco x3 nfc, will it be compatible with poco x3 (non nfc).
I'm new here, never tried Custom ROMs
thats why i dont have any idea.
im trying to get a custom ROM for my X3 pro but im not sure if something will go wrong/phone getting bricked when i install an NFC ROM.
