Possible Design Defect - Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Questions & Answers

Hi guys,
I have been using my Bronze Z Fold 2 since the 16th.
Today I noticed a sharp edge on the back of my Z fold 2 near the camera. At closer inspection my back plate is really badly fitted and I can put my fingernail right inside it then where the hinge is there is also a gap.
Does anyone one else have this issue? Quite a few on twitter do. If any of you could share your photos as well here and over on my twitter thread that would be awesome. I'm Wildlime over on twitter.

Where was yours made? Mine was made in S. Korea which is new because all my previous devices were made in Vietnam. Including my Tab S7+ 5G that I just got from Spain.

Good question. Where do I find that?

I ordered the Black one for T-Mobile and mine is fine. The only complaint I have is that the front screen protector scratches easily.

Mine is also fine in the UK. I think they are all made in Korea. Sounds like a one off fault.

the same issue was with Note 20 ultra in Korea. go and replace it

Hey Wildime! Long time no see mate!
Well, I just checked mine, it's perfectly sealed, so no issue. Mine is made in Korea, purchased in the UK.

The front stock screen protector is trash. I has a scuff on mine. I have only had it in my pocket or on my desk on a dock. No drops or accidental bumps. Absolutely babied.

Flip Cover

(by google traductor)
Flip Cover Case NO original, purchased on ebay.
The cover, as you can see in the photos, is equal to that of Samsung, and the quality of the cover is very very good. The back cover, metallic blue, the S3 Mini fits perfectly and the front cover with soft inner lining, is perfectly positioned, fulfilling its mandate to protect the screen. However, I have placed a guard for safety. The truth is that the contrast between the terminal and sleeve white blue is dramatic for my taste. You can talk with the lid closed, once lifted, because the speaker is left open and the mic is on the bottom edge.

[Q] Galaxy Note 10.1 out of box screen protector

I just bought a Galaxy Note 10.1 and I love it! But there's something I observed. I thought at first that there's no screen protector coz the label is still on. Then when I peeled it off, I'm surprised. There's already a screen protector! Perfectly aligned. I wonder if this also happened to other Note 10.1 users...

Afaik no note 10.1 comes with a screen protector already applied. Did you buy your note brand new?.
The heck... you're right. I have it too, perfectly aligned and I always suspected this since I bought it (brand new, and I saw the box being opened in front of me, so.. it's really hard to peel it off and I'm not doing it, but thanks for confirming what I already thought would be true.
edit: maybe this is some sort of shatter/scratch proof sheet?

Yeah, I bought it and it's brand new. Kinda strange... I thought I have to apply the protector manually. Maybe it depends on the region?
My N8000 came without any screenprotectors. I bought it on amazon.de and the seal was not broken.

There is a coating on the glass but as far as I know it is not a screen protector. Can someone take a photo of the screen with there factory protector on it for the rest of us to see.
Here is a link to what happens when you use an abrasive on your screen.

That's definitely not a screen protector...what you're seeing is the thickness of the glass at the edges.

Lol and here was me thinking it really looked like a shatter proof sheet or some sort of thing. It's probably the beveled glass. Well, case solved, thanks

[Premium] Aluminium full bumper (HunterF and co)

Hi. Im opening this thread to discuss the premium cases for galaxy S4.
I ALREADY own the note 2 version orded from offerany.com and can reply to any question about it.
A few ones :
- yes you lose nfc
- th note 2 one is slippery but mainly because it is a really big phone. Shoulndt be an issue with the smaller s4.
- yes you must remove the qamsung back cover and the aluminium one replaces it. Keeping thz phone thin and caseless looking.
- I have it in black. 3 months of use. Barely scratched. Few dents on the silver chamfered edges. Barely visible because the edge is silver just like dented aluminium.
- cant comment on signal but you lose around one bar of signal in both cellular data or 4g.

I would also like to know the answer to this. Can you test and see signal strength with / without case? IIRC transformer prime had an issue with wifi/gps connectivity because of the aluminum back. Thats a tablet, though, so who knows might be different on phone
I also find the other metal bumper for samsung galaxy s4 i9500. it doesnt kill signal. good to use.

Aluminium that we see on premium phones is totally another story. Aluminium is week but it goes through some hardening processes.
But this cheap case most likely hasent been through that and im sure that after a week has more scratches than the plastic back.

I have this case for the S3, it holds up pretty well.. dropped a few times, when i was out with my buddies at the club the dents were minimal and paint holds up pretty well. Scratches well, theres only one on it after a few months of use and clubbing with it.
Does it have any logos on the back?
very expensive
My bet is that this will kill your signal strength.
Full body aluminium is not a good case for s4! Lose 50.\' signal. I have 2 bumper, case aluminium already..
Inviato dal mio GT-I9505 con Tapatalk 2
these are also available, and the back cover is not all aluminum.

Should I put a sheild on it?

Is it worth it to put a sheild on the smartwatch 2? Or is it worthless because it's scratch proof?
I wear it naked for a few months and the glass is perfect. The metal bezel is scratched a bit but it would have been even with a screen protector
Envoyé depuis mon HTC One
I work on a rail road and have been wearing mine for about 3 months to work and the glass is still flawless.

Have you been wearing it all the live-long day? Do you look at it just to pass the time away?
(sorry, I couldn't help myself)
I'm wearing mine since it's release day in and out and except of a few scratches (don't know how i got them) on the left there is nothing to complain about. I don't think it's necessary to put a shield on it. Here's a picture of it:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B25rwuqtZqUwRGcyV1pMQTVlMzQ
I bought a cheap screen protector for a tablet, and cut it to size.
I'd rather play safe than risk scratching my screen. The body have serveral dents on it already...
I have one on mine, bought in eBay and very happy! I have two little scratches on the shield, but not worried at all because it's on the shield and not the glass ?
Yo can buy a cheap pack of two for 3€ ?

Just ordered the Black Camo for my Black Panther Note 9. Will show it here once I got the skin.
Does a SlickWraps skin count? Lol. I'm not in the cool kids group without a DBrand.
I put the black camo on my phone. Appears that the cutouts are not up to the usual precision that Dbrand was once known for. It's definitely not a precise fit.

I'm thinking that could be because of the prototype phones they had to create cases and protectors . As my back film is also out in the same areas.

Yeah, I'm not thrilled. Dbrand was awesome when they first came out, they've gotten so big now that they are kind of melding into any other company. They used to be on here interacting and trying to build their base and it worked. It would be nice if they did some QC on the skins, now that they charge a premium, plus five dollars shipping and a week plus wait for it to arrive. I haven't used one since my Nexus 5, I'll be looking at other companies now, there isn't anything to differentiate them from the other companies, they certainly don't make a superior product anymore.
Too big for their britches now? ?

At least they didn't go on Reddit and start doxxing customers who complained about issues like Slickwraps did. Happened on the Pixel subreddit about a year ago.
