Frame drop when scrolling the app drawer - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Questions & Answers

Guys have you noticed that issue? Seems like it drops to 60hz when scrolling the drawer instead of 120hz.

same when you open recents

Are you guys using a live wallpaper? I got the same issue when using a Miui 12 Superwallpaper port.

I downloaded the apk but I wasn't able to install the superwallpaper.

[Need help from a dev] Leaked - Sony Ericsson 2.3.4 Launcher 2.0.A.0.20

Can any dev get this working for the sensation? It works, but FC on the app drawer if you try to sort the apps. It also needs adjusted to the qhd screen too.
EDIT: The pinch while in homescreen doesn't work either. EDIT 2: Just found it FC on long press of the home screen too.
The thread is located HERE and has the apk file in the op.
From what I've seen though, it's smooth and fast on a stock sensation (this doesn't mean it fully works). It works to an extent.
Thanks.
Here's the launcher in action
I downloaded the apk..and everything works fine...no fc on app drawer or anything

When in the app dawer, press the arrow in the bottom left. Also, the icons are not aligned right on the right side. There's a gap that's bigger than the left.

Yeah, I have the gap too. I guess it's just not for Sensation's screen resolution.
It FC on long press of the home screen too.
This is such a nice launcher. I don't see anybody willing to help.
Looks ok but top many fc's.

[Request] Scrolling wallpaper

I have tried the numerous live wallpaper workarounds but still prefer the native wallpaper scrolling. Is there any way to enable this on a stock based rom similar to how Viper's launcher has it? I have tried looking in default.xml, Prism.apk, SystemUI but have yet to find anything. If anyone knows of a working exposed module or tutorial for how to force, please let me know. Thanks!

I can't scroll either. peikojose may have found a sort of explanation/resolution that works for him. I couldn't quite figure out how to make it work for me, or if I'm doing it right.

Why do most xposed mods I've read say samsung or touchwiz? I've read it should work on any rom, but does that not refer to Samsung roms?

For whatever reason, scrolling wallpaper still works with some launchers. I have it working with ADW EX and I've heard at least Go Launcher described as still working. I just don't like the way ADW scrolls wallpaper.
Does anyone understand why we have an issue? Is there some way that AOSP Android allows for scrolling, and this is not working in KitKat or Sense has broken it? I've read Nova used to have a force scrolling option that was removed. Does anyone still have it working on that older version? Why was that option removed?
For me, with Solo launcher, wallpaper scrolling doesn't work. Themer, it doesn't work, Go Launcher scrolling works fine. I even like the transition, which makes sense, as opposed to the way ADW transitions. What a stupid way to choose which launcher I will use.
I guess I don't care about icons and traditional themes, though I'm definitely impressed with Themer's abilities, it's just not what I'm looking for... Just scrolling wallpaper, please.

Same feelings here for Nova. I love everything else about it. I continually try new CM nightlies but then miss the duo cam and IR features.
Edit: Oh and the main one, swipe to wake
I'm going to update this post later. There's several live wallpaper apps that restore wallpaper scrolling. I think the one in using now is landscape wallpaper. It works completely and invisibly, as if scrolling was miraculously restored. I even like being able to auto-switch walls on unlock.
EDIT:
Landscape Wallpaper - PROS: Better settings than WC, IMO; gives you lockscreen wall control, "scrolling direction," "scrolling source" of simulated or launcher (method), elastic effects, and image quality.; if choose simulated scrolling source, has further scrolling effects! (almost won me over with this... if could add "border mode" option to infinite scroll wallpaper (visible edge/seam, not jump/scroll back), I'd donate/buy this) CONS: Maybe a PRO, scrolls wall behind app drawer, but can't disable this. Can't create "albums" to choose from; only single image or folder
Wallpaper Changer - PROS: can create albums from single file, folder, or individually selected images from multiple locations and switch between them at will!; simple and works well. CONS: settings seemed glitchy or quirky for me; can add, but apparently not remove individual images from albums!?
Scrolling Live Wallpaper - Pretty simple, it adds wallpaper scrolling and worked for me. I don't remember it being bad, but I hated that when I took a screenshot, it became obvious it lowered the resolution/quality of the wallpaper dramatically, probably for performance. I don't think it had an option to disable this. It also scrolled unnaturally, imo. I think it simulated the scrolling effect, but poorly.
Wallpaper Wizardrii - I'm pretty sure I read this will enable scrolling for launchers that don't support it. I didn't try it. Looks popular, but has tons of wallpaper wizard effects that I don't need or want.
TIP: If using stock lockscreen, and maybe regardless, along with 3rd party default homescreen -- set same live wallpaper as wallpaper in Blinkfeed or stock launcher (settings same, regardless of launcher). Annoying when choosing single or small set of images; after a reboot, I always had a non-chosen wallpaper load, then refresh with expected live wallpaper after homescreen loads.

The latest Nova beta that came out today has an option to force wallpaper scrolling that works great.

Wallpaper Crop Bug

Is anyone having really weird issues with the wallpaper constantly changing and recropping. Its easily reproducable by taking an image that doesn't allow for wallpaper scrolling and making it your wallpaper. Then if you reboot when you come back it is cropped and zoomed in randomly until you reset the wallpaper. Using trebuchet on stock cm11s

yup that pretty much sums it up. If you reboot it does it instantly
dont pick from the gallery app. instead long press on the background, select wallpapers and then choose pick image. the gallery app needs work.
I believe the cropping issue is addressed in the update rolling out now.
Well, I took the 4.4.4 update and the cropping issue looks to be fixed. The issue I am having now is that I cant for the life of me assign a different wallpaper to the lock screen. It wont take. Whatever I assign to the home screen is what shows up on the lock screen.

Anyone else experiencing slight judder or lag?

Love the phone, but for a company to tout its performance I'd expect a buttery smooth experience. However, this is not the case. I occasionally experience a slight lag or judder while moving across screens, opening apps, opening folders, etc. I don't know if this is due to 7.0 nougat as I have heard some stories of its inefficiencies which is why its updated to 7.1 now, but I do hope that when it does get updated to 7.1 in Feb this will go away. Anyone else experiencing this?

I noticed a small lag when opening folders, so I downloaded the Google now launcher and the folder lag is gone. I also have my animations turned down to .5 seconds in developer settings.
Are you talking primarily Huawei launcher?
I personally use Nova or Google Launcher(when i can change dpi) without issue.
I was just thinking the other day, the phone is stupid smooth and figured I would have experience some type of lag. Only lag I encounter is with Chrome browser but Im the type with 99(smiley face) tabs running.

Yes, I was talking about the Huawei Launcher having a slight lag at times when opening folders. It's not bad and not consistent, but it does happen at times. The Google now launcher is butter.

Yeah I already did that too. It helps for sure. Another thing...In developer settings, right under the Window and Transition animation scale settings, there is a setting called "smallest width" that you can use to change the screen density. The higher the number, the smaller everything gets (opposite from changing the screen density in the build prop). Anyways, when I change this to my liking, the Huawei Launcher gets very choppy, but the Google now launcher is very smooth. So that's another reason to use the Google launcher or Nova.
The issue is the twin app do not work with 3rd party launchers....

I like to keep my display size on large and set the value in developer settings to 500. This keeps the navigation buttons bigger and more spread out. If I set the display to small and then adjust the value, my nav buttons get really small and very close together.
Keyboard seems to be non-responsive from time to time. I have noticed this accross multiple apps, inclusive of chrome. Have to back out and click the input area of the apps/browser for the keyboard to work again.

Seriously someone create a thread . This is very valuable.
I don't need root now, and with the lower dpi Google now doesn't look disgusting.
Straight up blonde moment.
Changing the animation speeds in developer options makes a big difference along with the width settings.

That's the one I played with the most when I got my S8+ and it didn't work well; crashed on me pretty often and wouldn't take the odd S8+ resolution. That was over a week ago but it seems there was an update since. I guess they fixed it for the S8+. It very works well now and quality is great. I paid for it, I'm glad they fixed whatever there was to fix :good:
Edit: I don't know how you managed to upload it in HD, @Bautinho88, but I've tried with 6 videos on both my phone (Resolution: WQHD+ / YouTube app) and my computer and the best quality I get is 480p60.

Yep the icon being on the home page is the cause - WHY, I don't understand.. it's like the FB icon has some sort of weird properties that a regular icon doesn't have.. kind of creepy tbh.
