Does it support wireless charging? - Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Questions & Answers

I am using the wireless charger stand to charge my Note 20 ultra, will I be able to use the same charger for the Z Fold 2 as well?

Yes wireless charging supported ..

It also has PowerShare which lets the phone provide power for other wireless charging-capable devices (ear buds, etc.).

Outside of the Google dock, I have tried a few "10W" wireless chargers that only deliver slow charging. Looking to see if people can suggest true fast charge wireless pucks. Specifically at a Best Buy or local to purchase.

It's up to 11w fast wireless charging. 10w is still considered fast wireless charging too.

Ah OK, that's my mistake. Good to know, thanks.
Yeah, the dock I bought said it does 10w, but doesn't with our phones. Looking to see if someone else had luck finding one that did the full 10 or 11w wireless charge.

How did you measure it? Just curious, I bought cheaper Lenovo desk puck that says it provides 1.1 A from 9 V chargers, and it seems to be pretty fast, but I have no idea what is actually being put out, and would like to know

It doesn't state EPP in the description - wouldn't that mean that this wont fast charge?

I had the same concern.
I found an entry in the Wireless Power Consortium Database indicating that it does support EPP

I received the Anker wireless charging pad and power supply today.
Wireless fast charging works well.
I've attached a couple pics;
1 - The charging pad, powered up, but idling (no phone sitting on the charging pad). I've got a Satechi USB-C power monitor plugged inline. So, here you can see it's powered with 9V @ 20ma (thus, 0.18W)
2 - The Pixel 4 XL sitting atop the charging pad. Soon after setting the phone on the charging pad, the phone, pad, and power supply work out that the pad should be powered with 12v. So the power supply switches from 9V to 12V. Again, looking at the Satechi USB-C power monitor, the pad is drawing 1.2A @ 12V (thus, 14.4W). I've got the AccuBattery app running on the phone, and it shows the battery charge current at near 2A. That's "fast" charging!!! When I set the phone on the charging pad it was at 65%. A little over an hour later it was charged to 100%.
Net-net... this is a good combo. Maybe a little spendy, but they work.
WOW... to double your wireless charging speed you need to spend 3-4x the $$... 5w you can pick up for $10+... 10w will run you $50+ smh
I'm currently using a magnetic phone mount in my vehicle with my Pixel 2. Has anyone had trouble using wireless charging along with either a magnetic case or with a metal disk inserted in the case to work on the phone mount?
Trying to figure potential gotcha's when I upgrade to a new phone which will probably be the 4XL.

Wow. Appreciate the detail. I am a little surprised that it seems most companies separate the puck from the AC adapter. Dont know why they can make it as one product.
For those that care. I found this cheap one on Amazon for $16.99 CAD. You need to have a qc2.0/3.0 adapter for it but I'm getting fast charging speeds on it.. Charges at 10W. Not quite the 11W that pixel can handle but I'll take it for the price.

Does the screen actually say rapid charging or does it just say wireless charging? I purchased a Vebach charging pad with the 3.0 charging adapter and it still says just wireless charging.

Question Why does the wireless charging suck so bad on this Device?

I am on the second Snapdragon ATT device and wireless charging is the worst I had in years. I dont know if its a software issue that can be fixed or a hardware issue. Both devices exhibit the same issue slow wireless charging or no charging at all just gets hot. I dont get it brand new phone thinking about going to last years S21 ULTRA if they give me the trade in credit. I have a note 20 ultra and it charges wirelessly just fine on any Qi charger. So disappointed right now.

I got this one. 15 watt wireless it's a 25 watt super fast charger so if you need a quicker charge you can always connect the phone directly without the pad. Both work great! Don't need that 45 watt charger this is perfect for wireless and wired.

Well I guess so if you having problems. Mine is the U.S. 512 gb Black version.
15 watt wireless and 25 watt wired.
Kept mine overnight with a 9W wireless charger and went from 2% to 21% over 8 hours...
Are you charging with the case on or off? I have been using my old Pixel wall charger and the OG Pixel stand. Plugged in my S22U chares quickly. If I use the Pixel stand it only charges with the case removed.

It could be the phone case, but, its not constant, I mean a day or two will charge full battery in 4 hrs aprox, like it should be, some other days 20% in 8 hours or so.. and its the same phone case

Mine charges Wirelessly in an hour. Snap Dragon 512gb Unlocked. Case is OtterBox Defender Pro and Charger is this one. If you do buy this one make sure you buy this exact model and not the one listed for $39.99 because that one only comes with a cable. The $59.99 one comes with cable and a 25 watt super fast charger. Will charge wirelessly at 15 watts or wired at 25 watts.

Sigh. I just double checked my preorder and this is what I have coming. Just like the review complaints, when I placed my order it had a picture of an adapter next to the charger so I logically assumed it was included. Now I see that they have 'updated' the product description to state that it is not included and I believe that was retroactively added because of all the negative reviews about this omission.
If I use one of the older 25 watt adapters that came with my Note 20 ultra, will it still work? I don't need it to fast charge. If regular charging takes a little over 2 hours from 0-100 with the phone plugged into the 25 watt adapter to a wall outlet- how much more longer do you think it will take to charge my yet to be shipped t-mobile S22 Ultra with this wireless charger?

Question Wireless Charging using Pixel 6 power share doesn't work - Galaxy Watch 4

Anyone managed to charge the watch using mobile powershare? I have pixel 6 and power share doesnt seems to detect Watch4, it does work with airpods 2.
I have used my Samsung S22 Ultra to charge my Watch 4 Classic.
S22 supports qi charging standard while watch 4 doesn't, might be that it only works with samsung devices, I have also read the not all wireless charges but few qi charges should, for eg; the latest stuffcool ones
I can't use my Huawei P30 to charge both GW Active and GW4.
They just don't react, regardless of position at the back of P30

That is because it's not QC charging, samsung use proprietary charging

Question Which is the best charger for Pixel 7 Pro in india? I am using old pixel 2 charger but it's very slow.

Hey guys,
I want to know which one is the best charger for Pixel 7 Pro ! I am currently using Old Pixel 2's charger. But its not charge my phone in good speed. Hence is there any good Indian standard charger available in online portal...
I am using Nothing Phone Charger 45w pd + pps supported. 0-100 in 1.40 hrs...
Just use any good PD Charger. Am using Baseus GaN 65W PD charger. One charger for all my devices.
i am using this 33w charger, gives fast charge and its pretty small, has option of c to c as well as type c to usb. Works on my smart watch and TWS buds so dont need to carry 2 chargers while travelling.
