Decreased media volume while having a phone call with update Android 10 - Huawei P20 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

Hello guys,
my P20 Pro with Built No. 10.0.0171 and Android 10 has a decreased media volume since the update to
Android 10 while being on a phone call. With Android 9 I could easily watch a Netlix show with my wife
(while being on phone with her) and could adjust the volume how ever I wanted. But with the update
it's terrible.
Is there any way to change that fact? My phone is not rooted so I guess I cannot use terminal scripts.
Does anyone have an idea for that issue? Help appreciated and will be rewarded by PayPal coffee

Airpods Pro- substantial volume drop compared to iOS.

This issue is all over the airpod subreddit. Apparently the newest airpod pro firmware update screwed up the volume level for Android. It cannot be fixed anymore by disabling/ enabling media sync. Wondering if any of the devs can find a fix or maybe a mod to restore the volume function.

Volume drop issue doesn't happen often with my AirPods Pro. If it happens I disconnect my airpods forget them and reset them by holding airpods case pairing button. This fixes issue for me. Had this issue once since last OS update, was disappointed, because update log clearly stated that they fixed it. :/
go to settings/sound&vibration/Earphone mode
and Disable bluetooth absolute volume
As you know this issue is very widespread with no 100% solution available yet. It is definitely related to android and something in the kernel or whatever because I can pair with other android phones or even flash different roms and sometimes the volume is super loud and other times super quiet. However the latest trick I had to use on my OP7pro running Android 10 / Oxygen 10 STOCK was to pair my airpods to my windows PC first (external bluetooth dongle), which allowed me to ramp the volume up so high it hurt my ears, then just repair to OP7 and finally it understood the volume could go higher than what the airpods were being locked to.
Very annoying and everyone has their tricks, so try mine and see if it works.

Android 10 Killed My Phone's Volume

I got a message last night that Android 10 needed to be installed on my phone so I allowed it. After restarting I was not impressed with the GUI at all but that's another topic. I'm really wishing that they would have left it alone... my phone was great before. I loved it! I have an LG G7 ThinQ (T-Mobile). Now if I place a phone call and put it on speaker the volume I'm hearing on a speaker call has been reduced by around 80 to 85%... no joke. Even the volume when holding the phone to your ear has been reduced. Previously when you placed a call on speaker, there was an option to boost the speaker volume but that option is gone.
Not only has my ability to hear phone calls been stripped away but listening to music the same way is no longer possible. The playback volume of the LG G7 ThinQ was one of the main selling points of the phone. Just watch any review of it on YouTube. It use to rock.
I'm so ticked off right now I don't know what to do.
This is no longer the phone I bought.
Does anyone have a solution to this???
I wish I could go back to Android 9...

Have you tried booting into stock recovery and selecting the option to wipe cache partition? This is usually necessary after updating a device to remove any cached data from the previous version interfering with the new version. Sometimes, even the dreaded factory reset is necessary. Backup your data somehow before factory resetting, if it comes down to having to use that option.

Boost music volume?

Hey guys!
I’ve been running my Note 10 plus stock since I bought it and I feel it's now old enough for a custom rom.
My biggest gripe with the phone is that I am unable to list to music LOUD with Bluetooth headphones.
I have the normal volume limiter disabled but I am sure it would be able to boost the volume even more.
A couple of years ago when I owned the LG V20 I had the phone rooted and was able to edit and XML file if I remember correctly and could boost the volume to any limit I wanted.
Is there a rom or any other option that let's me do this on the Note 10 Plus?
Thanks in advance.

Android auto call volume issue

Had the find x2 pro for a while now and has been fine but have noticed an issue with the volume of calls using android auto and how I'm picked up on the microphone of the car.
I was running a test as I'm with O2 and the signal kept dropping at certain points, so I plugged my work iPhone 12 Pro in and noticed that the call and music volume was much louder aswell as not dropping the call at any point in my ride home (Vodafone).
So I found my old phone from a few years ago which was a oneplus 6, let it run all the updates and plugged it into my car (71 plate suzuki swift) and low and behold it was the same volume levels as the iPhone and much easier to be heard on the microphone so its either a setting somewhere on the oppo or it is just crap with AA. On the oppo I have to set the call volume to 30(max) in the car but with the oneplus and iPhone it was 20.
I have tried turning off use high quality audio in the Bluetooth setting for the car and disabled absolute volume in the development options which has helped the volume of music but still way too quiet on the calls.
Any suggestions of any other settings to turn on/off as I'm close to binning the phone off
Might have sorted it.
Turning absolute volume back on has enabled media volume sync which was greyed out and now its much louder
Update, nope its not sorted so I'm gonna get rid of the phone come January
