Fastbot Loop from using flash-all.bat (Fixed) - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Hey everyone, I had recently received my oneplus 7 pro and wanted to change to a rom, I couldn't switch on oem unlocking in the dev options so I used msm tool. I have tried custom roms but now want to switch to OOS, I couldn't flash the ota in twrp so I flashed a fastboot image using "Tool all in one" I think I messed up because I am in a fastboot boot loop, I tried flashing twrp with fastboot, didn't work, attempted switching slots, no lock, I tried using the MSM tool but couldn't find the one that works for me, the one on guac for all gave me param preload, which I know is a driver issue but tried all the drivers I found on xda and some randomly I found, I had used an MSM tool that had more options then the one in guac for all, if anybody can help me get out of the bootloop with the MSM tool or a different solution, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. (Please note I am a bit of a noob when it comes to android custom roms and all.
I fixed it by using the guacamoles to guacamoleg tool

[SOLVED] OP7 (GM1900) stuck in fastboot loop, with no access to recovery

Hello,
I'm probably not posting this in the right section, nor the way it should be posted. This is my first post, and I'm sorry if this is the case.
I'll try to provide as much information as I can concerning my problem.
I have an OP7 (GM1900) that was rooted with TWRP recovery and magisk. I upgraded to OOS 10.0.3 through normal system upgrade. As I have done this many times before, I figured it wouldn't be much different. Upgrade done, everything's working but I lost the root and magisk as expected. Went back to fastboot mode, tried to boot to a temporary TWRP image, which failed (only showing fastboot logo in center of the screen). I googled, and ended up flashing both boot_a and boot_b (big mistake I know...)
Now, I'm stuck in a fastboot loop, with no access to recovery whatsoever. Nevertheless, I can still use fastboot and adb to execute command.
I figured I should download a global ROM and flash it again? I'm not sure which one to download since I didn't take note of the build beforehand and have access to nothing right now.
Is there no way to factory reset through fastboot in any way?
Thanks in advance
Update:
I made it worse by trying to flash a ROM I found on internet and totally bricked it to Qualcomm crash dump screen.
NEvertheless, everything is now solved using the MSM tool that can be found here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7/how-to/unbrick-tool-oneplus-7-msmtool-hydrogen-t3953240
Hopefully, this will help someone with the same problem
This is MSM tool "Hydrogen" Version...
There is msm unbrick tool for OxygenOS (European & International firmware, android 9 & 10)

Thanks a lot ! I'll definitely download this one just in case, it could save the time going back to OOS with a local upgrade.

One plus 6t stuck on fastboot screen when flashing twrp

Hey guys new to xda and rooting, I've rooted in the past but on older easier phones. I'm trying to flash twrp on my op6t and when I run fastboot boot twrp.img the phone changes to fastboot screen and stays there untill I force restart. I am using abd 1.43 and I am running Android 10.3.7 T-Mobile converted to international oem unlock. I've tried newest official twrp.img and I've tried an unofficial one I found linked in another thread that was said to work better with Android 10. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Bricked & cannot unbrick!

Dear XDA,
Please read before hitting me with the "use the search function"
I've been at it for two days now, trying to unbrick my Nebula Blue EU GM1913. It was stock on latest OOS, and I wanted to root it. I unlocked kernel, and upon flashing twrp I got stuck in fastboot mode. The phone currently can only enter EDL mode and Fastboot mode, nothing else.
What I have tried:
- 2 different laptops, plethora of cables, and every port in each laptop. I've even formatted both laptops so there's no driver clashes, and still keep getting the same errors.
- Different MSMtools: every tool I try gives me the following error 'Param Preload - Device not match image.'
- Fastboot roms via op7 pro All in one tool: I keep getting errors with those too, some files missing. Tried both EU and GLOBAL roms.
I dont know what else to do anymore.. the phone does get to fastboot, but I cannot go beyond this point. Any help is welcome!

Are you running MSMtools with admin privileges?
Of course you know by now that you shouldn't flash TWRP on these phones. I can't help you with a stock recovery image since I have a different model, but you might be able to get one somewhere else. Alternately, I've had luck with Lineage recovery (albeit on that different model: https://download.lineageos.org/guacamole )
Have you tried these unbrick instructions? https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ide-for-a-hard-bricked-oneplus-7-pro.3934659/
When you try to flash a fastboot custom ROM, are you flashing in fastboot or fastbootd? See the ROM install instructions. Also, most of them suggest using platform tools rather than an op7 pro all in one tool.
And in reference to the "device does not match image" error: are you sure you have the latest Qualcomm drivers and that your phone is in EDL mode? It does switch to charging mode after something like 10 second of inactivity.

Bricked with no OS and no idea how to flash ROM

Hi Guys,
I think I f...ed up big time...
My device was rooted and I tried to unroot/factory reset to give it to my wife. Since I'm now sitting here for about 5 hrs I try to summarize what I've been doing:
1. I started with trying to Flash a Factory Image with the ALL-IN-ONE Tool
- My Device was on the Latest Oxygen OS 11 and I just stupidly followed the instructions of the Tool and downloaded a OOS 10 based Stock Rom and flashed it (thats where my nightmare began)
- After I flashed the OOS 10 Stock Rom I was Stuck in at the Open Bootloader warning screen ("the boot loader is unlocked and software integrity cannot be guaranteed ...")
2. Since there is no (at least I couldn't find one for the life of me) OOS 11 fastboot stock ROM I tried to downgrade via an OOS Beta ROM I found in a downgrade guide
- That didn't work either and I ended up stuck at the same Screen
3. After some googling I came across this guide and tried to manually flash a none fastboot OOS 11 ROM by manually extracting all the images of the payload.bin
- After I extracted all the images I flashed them one by one as mentioned in the guide via fastboot and this ended up with
Qualcomm Crash Dump mode dm-verity device corrupted force dump Kernel restart

Click to collapse
4. After that I panicked a little since I've never seen this error before and tried to Flash the OOS 10 based Stock rom via the ALL-IN-ONE Tool again
- This worked with no errors but now I'm still stuck in the "Open Bootloader warning Screen"
Since then I tried Step 4 with another OOS 11 none fastboot ROM but now I keep getting following error everytime I try to flash one of the extracted images via fastboot (which worked before):
FAILED (remote: Flashing is not allowed for Critical Partitions

I did some research, seems like this error indicates a locked bootloader which is wrong, bootloader is still unlocked.
Even if I try to unlock the bootloader again I get the reply that bootloader cannot be unlocked since it already is unlocked.
So now I'm stuck with a completely f...ed up device with absolutely no clue if and how I can fix this.
I really hope anyone of you guys can help ...
Apologies for the bad writing but it's 5 am and I'm tired and frustrated af ...
greetings from Germany.
Timo
EDIT: Oh and yes, I know about the MSM-Tool and tried it but I can't get it to work since my device is not showing. I followed this guide several time but nothing is happening and my device is not even showing in the device manager. Only time it shows in the device manager is when in fastboot mode.
Guys I finally did it.
I deinstalled all stale/inactive drivers and reinstalled the Qualcomm drivers and finally managed to get the MSM Tool up and running and revived the phone.

Question How to unbrick One Plus Nord CE 2 Lite ?

I have bricked this device (One Plus Nord CE 2 Lite) by flashing the unofficial twrp image for this device. Device bootloops in TWRP.
Previously, I had succesfully unlocked the bootloader and rooted this device by flashing the patched magisk boot.img by following the method mentioned in this post (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rooting-oneplus-nord-2-ce-lite.4500297/)
How to restore the factory image and recover from this?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
...reboot to fastboot, flash the original boot and vbmeta and you're done ...maybe you have to change back the slot, but it's almost impossible to brick the device
...don't mess around with "Recovery" ...this device has already the newest partitioning system and there is no recovery partition
best regards
I messed up by flashing the wrong twrp image made. (Device was stuck on 1+ logo screen)
Thanks to your post i was able to rescue this device.
I used Oxygen Updater App, payload-dumper-gui and minimal adb fastboot.
Flashed boot and vbmeta with stock img files.
Restarting the device now will boot into fastboot mode.
Changing slots helped a lot.
(fastboot set-active=a/b)
After that, Device booted normally into OS.
... you're very welcome, Sir ...but really, don't mess around with "old school" recovery systems ...they are not needed anymore and furthermore they can't handle the "dynamic super partitioning" ...and again: nobody needs them after the year 2015 anymore
...best regards

Hey can you help me pls, I am in the exact same situation as you but I can't get the stock img files, whenever I use payload-dumper it just gives me system.img and nothing else, could you maybe share your img files ?
Edit: I manged to get some files but still not the boot.img, I don't undestand why it just refuses to give them to me, I redownloaded everything at least 3 times...
Use Payload-Dumper-GUI instead of Payload-Dumper-Go
Hey @NickR01 if possible can you send me an boot.img and vbmeta
I don’t have windows pc so can’t use Payload-Dumper
It will also help future users to unbrick device.

@vikas_anakin I have files for eu variant, can't help you there bud. If flashed it can mess up your device.
If you are stuck with payload.bin extraction... try it with an android device.
Here's the tool for Android.
Payload-Dumper-Android
Here's the guide for it.
XDA Guide
Newb Guide
Follow the guide and download this app to extract the .bin file
Termux App: Termux Github
After the extraction, type fastboot (pc required) commands to flash and change current active slots from A to B if it's stuck in bootloop after flashing.
I hope this helps you recover your device.

Extracting the payload.bin is not an issue, The issue is I don't have stock firmware.
I used https://www.getdroidtips.com/oneplus-nord-ce-2-lite-5g-firmware-flash-file/ but my wifi and Bluetooth are not working after installing it.
Do you have any suggestions on how can i resolve these issues?
@vikas_anakin Download authentic firmware from this app. Files are pulled from OnePlus servers.
Google Playstore: Oxygen Updater
Oxygen Updater Settings -> Enable Advanced Mode
Select device region.
Latest update for holi is CPH2381_11_A.13 as of now.
I extracted the images from the payload.bin found in the Oxygen Updater file (that I had actually successfully used to update my device) and flashed 2 partitions:
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
I then rebooted and now it's stuck in a boot loop & I can't even access fastboot anymore. Can someone please help?
Thanks
EDIT:
I managed to access fastboot & flash the rest of the partitions to fix it.

Or else you can extract img files from the oneplus rom file.
and flash them using fastboot.
Okay thank you for the reply, would you be able to point me to a official img file ? Or maybe someone has one extracted I could use please? I have looked online, but the ones I have gotten don't seem to work. I have also looked on the oneplus website for an official img but I could not find one.
So after a little more research, I can use another android device with the app Oxygen updater, download the full img.... So I am currently doing that and then ill try use fastboot or twrp to flash. Just wanted to spread info incase anyone else is having issues getting latest official roms for this device.

Hey man, I would suggest not going with msm tool or anything.
Just download the latest update file of your device using oneplus updater app, or you can ask for the file if some of your friends has the same device.
use this tool to extract payload files https://github.com/vm03/payload_dumper
Now you can follow the same procedure as here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ock-oxygenos-firmware-on-oneplus-10r.4465077/
