Just ordered this phone and trying to find out a little more information about the audio quality.
I know the phone has the Exynos 9810 chip and from what I've read/found it may come with a Cirrus Logic chip but not 100% sure which one.
Would any of you guys have any more specific information on the audio quality for the headphone jack specifically?
I've currently got an LG V30 and I know it won't be as good, but I'm hoping it will be good enough.
Thanks in advance.
Hi, here is the answer from Samsung support from Russia:
The Galaxy Note10 Lite phone has an audio processor, Hi-Fi DAC Cirrus Logic CS47L93, 32 bit, with support for Dolby Atmos.

Thank you! Sounds promising, have you had any personal experience with that particular audio processor?

Audio output is just fine don't expect much. Sound is crystal clear from stock headphones but not loud now I have realme wireless band with 11.2 driver size same case here also but if you use apps like poweramp and tweak audio settings output can be pretty good.
And dolby of this device is just waste doesn't do anything special. I hope this helps your question

Unfortunately, I can't say anything about your question, because at work I use budget headphones with poor sound.

Hello, I am quite happy with my Note PRO 12.2 so far. The main problem is the sound quality. Is there a way to improve the quality perhaps through software?

I installed ViPER 4Android. Very happy with the results. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223
It seems that it requires one to root the device. Is there a solution without rooting?
Have you tried using the equalizer?

Is it a software or hardware?
The thing I hate about most equalizers on Android is that once enabled maximum volume is decreased although the shape of the sound does change. Sometimes I just want more volume. .. for that a custom kernel and dsp manager are needed.

Software. I believe the stock one is MusicFX, and most serious music players have their own. Personally I use N7player.

Firstly, disable Adapt Sound in the application manager. It evens out the volume of all audio.
I've also disabled musicFX.
Some music app equalizers have a pre Amp increaser which boosts or decreases the volume to a level of your choice. Screenshot included.

That's N7 player, by the way. It has one of the more extensive equalisers I've come across. (those are the settings on my Note 3 but that's beside the point).

From my personal experience, the volume is just generally low on stock and drivers like Viper give a very marginal gain at best, and are likely to result in reduced quality audio since the speaker isn't that good. Its one of the few points of this phone I dislike. I also found that Viper is buggy and doesn't always work but you're welcome to try it
Viper4Android is the best sound mod, You should give it a try. It's not only the gain but the quality.

If You have any issue try the LolliViper version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/themes-apps/discussion-viper4android-t2543796
For better perfomance You have to make it a system app. Using a root file manager like Root Explorer move the app folder located in data/app to system/priv-app.

i love my mate 8 its really a good device but i have only one issue with it, its the low speaker volume i noticed this since the first day i got it (speaking from an ex. samsung note 5 user) i can surely say that the note 5 speaker is much louder and its so strange how big the difference is so i was thinking that maybe i have a defective mate 8?
Oreo is here and still static audio is not resolved, i am thinking its better to look for new earphones than rattling around forums, guys help to provide the info which earphones are working for you.
I'm considering to buy Soundmagic E10C or RHA - MA390 Universal. I'm currently using CX 275s. I did not have any hiss sound on Android N but now I have hissing sound on Oreo. I can only hear hissing on words starting with Z and S. Weird. Otherwise I have to try hard to hunt for hissing sound, maybe because I'm hearing impaired.
Xiaomi recommends you get one of their earphones. They even have specific profiles for them in the sound settings.

i won't suggest rha ma390 because of 16ohm impedance, theoratically soundmagic e10c with 46ohms impedance has better chances to work well with mi a1.
there are reports of hissing with their headphones too, if you have a xiaomi earphone working without hiss, please mention the specific model.
I haven't noticed any hissing sound with the Xiaomi Piston Basic earphone.
@cr0ssx21, please mention this in an separate answer so others can upvote and there would be less clutter.
Please mention the specific xiaomi earphones you tested that doen't have hissing, as there are reports of some xiaomi earphones also having this issue.
Hmmm I'm using Mi Piston Fresh and Mi Pro Hybrid, both 32ohms.. i barely hear any hissing on them, it's just like a bit of stereo noise. On my KZ ZS3, the hissing is more audible; it's 16ohms
mi basic headphone works fine no hissing sound atall
Sennheiser HD215 (32ohm) is completely hiss-free.
Audio Tehnica M50x (38Ohm) - no problem. Great audio experience with this phone.
Bluetooth...
Sennheiser MX170 cheaper ones (8€ ) and perfect.
Sennheiser ie8 no hiss, mi pro in ear no hiss
Did anyone try out oneplus bullet earphones..?
No issues with my Sony MDR-1RNC. But I don't think they sell those anymore
equalization that compensates for the small size of the speaker
provides a more balanced distribution of all sound frequencies
reinforcing the bass and removing excess energy from the treble

I have difficulty manipulating the equalizer values
the problem may have many causes, such as the AudioFX application, LineageOS 15.1 system and/or LEX821 device
does anyone else have difficulty?

Yes, this is a crap. You are not alone. I have even tried to report, but they just deleted my post because "we don't accept feature requests". Afaik nobody working on it currently, so don't expect any fixes
Problem is gui, sliders don't react on touch.

Hello,
In google specification sheet it's not specified, and in gsmarena specification sheet it's missing (although 7 and 7 PRO has it)
Gsmarena comparision of 7a / 7 / 7 PRO
Could someone who has the 7a check if it has aptX HD audo support?
To check it: Settings -> System -> Developer options -> click on Bluetooth Audio Codec to see all available codecs.
Thank You in advance.

If I am not mistaken you must have a compatible Bluetooth device connected for it to be available. I know the options do not light up on my phone until then but I do not have aptx hd headphones to answer this question myself.

Can confirm aptX and aptX HD are available in GrapheneOS once compatible headphones are connected, surely they are available in stock as well.
For some reason AAC is not available though (on GrapheneOS at least), despite my headphones (SoundMAGIC P23BT) supporting it and it being available on other devices.
My aac lights up and works on my headphones on paranoid.

I see, thanks. Probably just not on GrapheneOS then for the time being. I use aptX anyway, so no problem there.
Thank You all for responses.
I did buy the pixel 7a and can confirm now too that it has BT HD support and it works fine
Tested with Fiio BTR3 (using stock Android 13 and 14 beta)
