My Note 10 Plus had issues with not sending or receiving texts too, switched to Google Messages on the Note 10 and haven't had an issue. Didn't even try Samsung Messages on the Note 20 Ultra, just disabled it and went with Google messages. No issues with it either on the Note 20, I'm using an unlocked Note 20 on the T-Mobile Network in the USA.

Hey all,
I have this problemen that some messages are mixed up when sending them to someone else.
For example :
Message 1: How're you ? It's been a while.
Message 2: Yo bro whazzup , it's been a while ago since we last saw etother.
The receiver would get : Yo bro whazzup, it's been a while.
This is just an example, the text just get's cut everywhere and the messages could be from total different date.
Please help me, some of those messages which're mixed up may once have a bad reaction or so
I tried :
Factory reset.
It's a carrier problem. I'm on T-Mobile LTE and still get it from time to time. Aside from getting a new carrier the only way to solve this is to possibly talk to your carriers tech support and explain the issue, maybe have them reprovision your line.. Or they might be working on something like a cell tower near you.

Yes in deed it exactly thesame.
So the title pretty much sums it up. I have a rooted sprint nexus 5 running stock 5.0.1. And I'm a still randomly missing calls and texts. Phone doesn't ring. Missed texts and missed call notifications don't appear until rebooting the phone.
I know this was a problem with 4.4 on the nexus 5 but I thought 5.0 was supposed to fix this. Am I do in something wrong? Help would be much appreciated.
Check your network
I'm having the same problem
I have had a Nexus 5 for the last year. It was a great phone but did miss some calls, but had good reception. I recently broke that phone and purchased a newer one. The reception is awful. I had to buy a microcell booster just to work it in my home where I didn't have to before. If the phone has one bar you can't receive or send calls. If it has two bars it's a crap shoot. Often times when I call there will be two bars and as soon as I press send to call someone the phone drops to no bars. Is this a software or phone or hardware problem?
My issue seems to be receiving texts and calls while on wifi. If so, I will get texts really late, or out of order. With phone calls i just may note receive them at all, nor get a missed call or voicemail notification. I've heard some peopl say that the issue an LTE one and switching to 3G helps the problem but I've found that recently that is not the case. If I am on wifi my sprint nexus 5 just cant seem to get it right...
For Sprint, there could be issues with the signaling for voice/sms when on LTE since the N5 is a single radio for everything. Another thing it could be is the modem version. Also if you got a replacement it's possible the connections are just loose inside or one of them is disconnected for the antenna.
I'm on sprint too and I get the notorious double texts has to be something on sprints end

Sorry to necropost, but i'm reviving this to see if anyone else is still having the same problem??? Has this been fixed on Android 5.1 or 5.1.1 ? There has to be a better solution than having to be on 3G and keeping wifi on only when phone is awake. Help or advanced knowledge of the problem would be appreciated.
Its Sprint, it sucks

I Can receive, but not send, text messages on Samsung Note 4 cm12-20150222. Any ideas? I did try a different text app, but no luck. I am using a Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
Did you check your apn settings? This is normally the issue with sending or receiving.

I had this issue sine November, I am on Canadian Bell.. the issue is the LTE (In canada) or 4G, when you switch to 3G it should work. The real solution for me was switch to fjltecan (canadian ver), and Hallelujah, works ..
Try this DU_jfltecan_5.0.2_20150211-0217.v9.1-UNOFFICIAL.zip, maybe it'll work on Sprint. Or most likely you need to find proper kernel file for your phone. PK
When my Gear S2 3g watch is connected to my phone, I receive message notifications on my watch and phone just as planned. When I'm away from my phone and the S2 is operating on 3g only, I receive "again" all of the messages that I had already received while the watch was connected to my phone. So if my watch is connected to my phone during the day and I receive 25 messages throughout the day, later that evening when I go to the gym and leave my phone in my locker, and the watch is only operating on 3g, I receive those same 25 messages one after the other.
Does anyone know of any way to stop this from happening?
Are you using at&t? What kind of phone are you using?

If you log into the myatt app, and disable att message sync, that should fix your issue. Since samsung phones already show the messages in the app on your watch, and att downloads all synced messages, that may be causing it. (At least in the case of my customer the other day).
Try and let me know.
Yesterday I had some trouble with sending messages, usually they would be send within 2 seconds but it took more than 30 seconds. Today same problem and later today I didn't receive any messages while the other person did send them..
What can be the problem?
After restarting my phone yesterday, the problem was fixed but today the problem started again.
I wish I could tell you. I just took a $50. loss to return our Honor 8. Text messaging was too unreliable--costly (missing out on important communication) too. It was using the same service as our other phones (the same sim in other phones had no issues). We're in US using AT&T. I can only assume there's a radio glitch when experiencing a weak signal although I didn't bother to check signal strength at the time of each failed text. We seem to be the only 2 having the issue.

Did you just update to Nougat?
Don't use the default messaging app if you are experiencing this. Use alternatives like Textra or pulse, that is the only way to fix your SMS problems apparently. If you also have MMS problems too, these messaging apps will fix it too.

In my case, not upgraded to nougat. This was my son's phone, and he thinks (I agree) that the basic texting should work. I just wish he'd gotten po'd with the phone before return deadline on Jan 31. At least Discover card appears to be honoring the 90 day guaranteed return benefit. They won't refund the sales tax or pay shipping.
