Actually for decrypted, it's not mandatory to flash majisk prior to dm verity, I never do, I flash dm verity, then majisk, then gapps and I've never had an issue and I've been flashing roms forever and have been on every rom for this phone. I do everything else the same as you though, so great directions!
I fashed this a few hours ago and I'm impressed. The FP scanner is good, the built in Dolby Atmos appears to work and single tap to wake is really fast. The only thing missing which surprised me is an option to center the clock. Other than that this is a great ROM.

Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery
Flashing instructions:
Dirty flash (assuming you have rom on slot A):
1. Download all required files and place them to internal memory (ROM, twrp installer, gapps, magisk, ..)
2. Boot twrp to slot B and flash ROM and twrp installer
3. Reboot twrp to slot A and flash gapps (optional magisk)
4. Now reboot to system
Clean flash (assuming you have rom on slot A):
1. Download all required files and place them to internal memory (ROM, twrp installer, gapps, magisk, ..)
2. Boot twrp to A slot and wipe everything except for internal
3. Reboot twrp to B slot and flash ROM and twrp installer
4. Reboot twrp to slot A and flash gapps (optional magisk)
5. Now reboot to system
If you are coming from stock:
1. Download latest TWRP installer and image
2. Open cmd and type fastboot boot twrp.img (change twrp to its actual name)
3. You should be on slot A in twrp, if not change it and reboot to bootloader and repeat step 2.
4. Format data
5. Now follow instruction for clean flash
OTA Updates
Bootleggers has A/B OTA, which means you can update your system seamlessly. Which also means that you will lost twrp as your boot img won't be patched, this could make you troubles if you consider yourself flashoholic (even if you don't, flashing 3 roms a week is sick)
You can either flash twrp trough adb or if you are root user of ex kernel manager (tested by me) you can flash it trough kernel flasher.
You can also export downloaded zip to internal storage (long press on download card in OTA app) and flash it as usually trough twrp.
Or use your phone without root(*) and other stuff that comes with it and just press download and then install every update forever and ever.
(*)When I tested OTA, my root persist, only twrp was gone, but it could disappear eventually, dunno.
If you don't understand something, ask me, I will try to explain it better.

No point wiping system on both slots, twrp will only be able to wipe the system of the slot you're currently booted on, the system of the opposite slot is automatically wiped when flashing the rom
Dalvik and cache are wiped when wiping data, there's only one data partition
After setting active slot to A, you need to reboot bootloader and boot twrp again, then you can flash Gapps and the rest
Another ROM by you?
Have you check it if sim card can be detected like in AOSP Extended SIM never work?
Indicate the bugs. So people know before they install it.
Amazing

Keep It up!

I was using DotOS and it's good except for taking pics to internal storage can't be removed. So I give this a shot, not only does it solve my problem but actually run faster, smoother and more customisable options. Just ignore the popup when boot, it's all good.
Update: it doesn't fix my pictures problem. While the rom run smooth, it charges slow and seems to consume more battery than dotOS.

The SD Card is not seen by the apps.
Still no re-up ?
Works really great. But apps like Music cannot read SD Card.
Thanks for your work!
If it's not a problem I can re-up this ROM. But don't know if it's permitted.

That's not the same. The one you linked is made by Haky. Also great performance, works smooth but it don't have swipe fingerprint for notification for example, also when i unplug headphones phone still shows that they're pluged in.
Anyway, awsome work from both devs

I used TWRP-3.2.3-0-Hi6250-Askuccio-v1.0_RU.img to install this rom.
I formatted first data, then reboot to recovery.
Now i wiped this partitions: data, system, dalvik, cache and reboot to recovery again.
Now i installed the rom, opengapps and after that wiped the cache. Now installed Ianmacs Magisk and reboot to system. Now the rom boots up. Thats it.

What you wrote is one method what the devs here always say.
That didn´t work on MY P8 Lite 2017 and of cause of that i did it so:
-Flash TWRP-3.2.3-0-Hi6250-Askuccio-v1.0_RU.img
- reboot to recovery
- format data (not wipe)
- reboot to recovery
- Wipe data, system, cache and dalvik
- reboot to recovery
- Flash rom and gapps
- wipe cache and dalvik
- reboot to recovery
- Flash Treble Magisk (ianmacs Magisk is running good) >>> if you want to have superuser functions and install a module to pass SafetyNet check.
- now reboot our phone and complete the setup process.

Still sorry to bother, but since I already risked bricking my phone by formatting data before flashing rom, I don't wanna do it again. Can I simply wipe? No one says that Rom flashing needs a data format..

Thats weird, my sim card its detected, no problems there for me, can you tell me your flash procedure, specific model of your device and if you have the lastest bootloader? Also, logs would be nice to have

My model is: XT1635-02
Bootloader: 0xC182
Flashing: I'm doing wipes (data, system, internal, cache dalvik cache), flash system, flash gapps - wipe cache and dalvik - reboot.
Maybe the problem is that I'm using the TWRP for Treble Roms from Addison. I will try tomorrow on official TWRP.
But I flashed the AOISP rom right now and everything works. On your rom there was: "the phone app has stopped".
The same was on CarbonRom 7.0.

Hi,
Thank's a lot for this rom!
I appreciate particularly this one for the overpersonalization.
I have twrp with the last version (twrp-3.3.1-0-addison.img).
I flashing the rom + opengapps pico arm 32.
After on the twrp, I clic to the case on left down to wipe!
And android start (very nice boot :good: )
But no message for pin code for 2 sim card's.
And in the system if I switch to airplane mod to normal nothing
In the parameters for sim nothing absolutely empty.
The same thing for carbon
It's possible that boot process don't see or don't recognize the efs or modem for the european version?
It works fine for me so far, better than the other rom carbonrom, there is signal and data
no sim card for me too ?

Come on Stayn, another one? xD Awesome. I've been using your CarboRom with no issues but i'll try this one too. Thanks a lot!
Edit: BTW is the first time that i read or heard about this rom. It's new in the Android Scene?
Edit 2: The boot animation looks ****ing awesome, haha
Edit 3: Regarding the rom ; so far the Sim card is working properly (I've read that some people are having some issues with that). I can receive text messages and calls so no problems there. If i found anything i'll add it here.

Latest Q firmware or latest R? Or does it matter?
edit: no need for R firmware. I flashed directly from Resurrection Remix Q.
I noticed that the quickswitch gesture of swipe up and hold on the homescreen for recents doesn't work from just any part of the screen anymore. It only works if I swipe up from near bottom edge. Is this the normal behavior on Android R or is it just peculiar to this ROM?
edit2: NVM. Google changed the swipe up and hold behavior. You can no longer do it from midscreen in homescreen.
Hey I want to give a try to this Rom, but bank apps will work without issues? Thanks for any response

Do you have a step by step guide on how to install Magisk on R? I've tried 2 Android 11 Roms (Arrow, Shapeshift) and I always get bootloops when I install Magisk.

IDK what hapened to mine then. Firmware, maybe? I flashed 12.0.5 firmware on mine before this ROM. What did you do with yours? And yes, I did set that option through the Shapeshifter menu. But I would still like to have the notification for ease of access.

You should use latest firmware available for your region. Download it from HERE
12.0.5 is already the latest stable Q firmware for my region. Anyway I've reverted back to Q for now. The battery drain is too much on the R versions of Shapeshift and the Pixel Experience beta.

I know I'm more than 1 year late already, but I just wanna ask; are you still using this rom? If no, for how long are you able to use it, and would you recommend installing this rom to us? So far, what are the pros and cons of installing this rom over keeping the stock rom?
