Greetings All!
I have seen alot of 'Task' Apps and 'Calendar' Apps out there.. And I want to make an extension for a website to allow these applications to sync to my Website.. and allow updates, etc.
For the basic ones that are free with iPhones and Droids, there has to be a common format for these, or something..
Is there a published standard for these anywhere?
I'm guessing it would be some sort of list of commands (web service functions, authentication schema, data structure, etc)
there is no standard, each service use their own apis (if public)

HELP REQUIRED
-We need help testing most features. So if you are able to test some protocols, services and or other features please post it here.
-The File Manager should be the most complete available at this moment, so if you miss anything let me know here.
-If you have ideas on what should be changed, improved and/or removed let me know!

Synchronize Ultimate from Play (get automatic updates)
Potential upcoming services
- Firedrive: API isn't public yet
- Tresorit: doesn't have an API available yet
- JustCloud: can't find the API
- Yunio: can't find the API
- Do you have an idea? Post it here!
All feedback is appreciated!
No feedback yet? It would be really appreciated!
We'll add support for:
SFTP
WebDAV
Dropbox
Styx
But before we can do so we need some help with testing
I was looking for an app like yours to sync my photos to my FTP.
So I did a quick test last night.
When editing a profile the selected account gets lost. I always have to select internal again for the left side.
The file transfer doesn't work. I get a Null Pointer Exception. No files were transferred.
Exiting Message doesn't make sense.
Get up the good work.

@TheToastee Thanks for the feedback! About the file transfer, you get the error when synchronizing or with the File Manager?
We mainly need feedback on all the available options, so let me know if you are missing anything. Thanks!
Does anyone have some more feedback on the test version? If you are missing features please let me know!
Thanks.
Monitor Files
Is it possible to monitor files?
Let's say I have a folder "important documents". Can Synchronize Ultimate start synchronizing when I add/change a file?
@TheToastee Yes, that's possible however the syncing doesn't work yet. But good request!
Does anyone else have ideas or wonders whether the app supports certain features?
Looks awesome installing now will report back

Might as well try it in the morning since I liked the Servers Ultimate app from you.
@ruffneckZeVo Thanks, let me know what you think of it. Just keep in mind it's a test version and we're working on the sync engine.
@WeRSpecialPeople Thanks, appreciate it that you also like our Servers Ultimate app. Let me know what you think of this one!

Crashes when it opens actually. Nexus 7 Flo, Jassy Kernel.
@WeRSpecialPeople That's a bit weird, do you have an sdcard? Apologies of course. Did anyone else try it?

Nexus Devices don't have an sdcard. They just have internal storage. Did I miss the part where we had to have an SD card slot?
It's kind of annoying that the settings are so spaced out. Would be much more readable if they were condensed a bit inside of each section.
Also, the explanations that pop up in there could be a tad bit more detailed.
Edit
File manager is a bit confusing. It's not intuitive at all. Maybe look at some file managers on the Play Store, and take notes on what makes them good and user-friendly?
Examples
-FX
-ES
-Solid Explorer

@WeRSpecialPeople It is not a requirement to have an sdcard. But we were only recently able to buy the new nexus so we should be able to look into it in a few days. It's quite weird though, works fine inside a simulator with internal storage memory. Does our app Servers Ultimate from Play work ok on your device?
@krion64 Thanks a lot for the feedback!
- About the space on the settings, you mean make less categories or less tabs? Or just make the spacing between certain settings a bit smaller?
- We'll add more info to the popups, thanks for the idea
- About the File Manager, what exactly is confusing? We didn't want to make anything like the existing file managers on the market, we want to fulfill the need of people how are used on having multiple file managers open at the same time and being able to copy easily between them with just one or two clicks. It should work even better on a tablet But if you could elaborate a bit on it we can have a look at it.
Thanks for the feedback!

-Spacing between settings
-You're welcome
-Just the steps to create a session might put off a few people, what with having to name them and all. If you take a look at FX, at the bottom of the screen, it has a "Windows" option for multitasking. Maybe it's just personal preference, but I feel FX (If you have trouble finding it try searching FX File Explorer) does multitasking better.
Edit
As someone who has invested money in online storage and uses it a heck of a lot, (Box at first but then I switched to Google Drive for monetary reasons), I'm really looking forward to your team completing this.

Works literately perfect. I just installed Cyanogen Mod so maybe that would do something but probably not since it is just a rom. Let my apps restore and I will check. :silly:
@WeRSpecialPeople it seems to be just a small bug than, we'll try to fix it asap.
But more feedback on the app is welcome. As well on the File Manager, let me know what you think of it!
Logging and Intent-Support
A good Idea would be Logging of the Sync-Process in a Logfile and starting the Sync-Process via Intent from other Apps/Widgets/Shortcut.
EDIT:
I tried it out - the Logging is very good, what about intents? the log says "no custom intents". Will I be able to set an Intent for every Sync Profile added? The App looks great already!
Share with others the useful Android apps you use :silly:
Personally I use these apps :
K9 mail - email client
Spendee - personal finance manager
Duolingo - learning languages
Network connections - what apps uses internet on my phone
WiFi file transfer - transfering files from/to phone
Uninstaller - euhhh uninstaller
Aviate - intelligent homescreen

Mostly being a business lady, I always go for the tools that are meant for my business perspective. And those are toggl, replicon, RTM, expensify. Other than that certain other tools also prevails in the line and are watsapp, viber, youtube, facebook. These all are meant for entertainment purpose.
Please repost your question and comments into the app discussion thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230428

Hi,
I need to somehow export a chat record from my mobile device Hangouts history to any external, human readable, file format (.txt, xml or whatever...)
Since that specific chat was "off the record" on my desktop gmail interface, I can only access it's content from my mobile device Hangouts history (I actually didn't expected it to be there as well...)
Seems like it should be a trivial feature - but I couldn't find anyway to do it...
If someone could recommend an app. or a different way of doing it - I'll be grateful...
That chat content is critical for me and I don't want to lose it....
The device is an unrooted, "Chinese" pure 4.1.2 variant.
BR,
Gal
P.S.: I tried few apps w/o success:
- Hangouts Chat Export
- Hangout Backup Pro
- HangoutToPDF
Also - Google Takout file did'nt included that content - probably since it's not accessible from the desktop interface (was "offTheRecord)
