Hi, since almost 2 weeks, my OnePlus 7 Pro mic stopped working and everytime I try to use the mic (Google Assistant, Recording app, recording a message in WhatsApp/Messenger etc) the phone restarts. As it is out of warranty and almost unusable (can't even make videos because there is no sound), I've decided to try replacing my sub PBA board with this one https://rounded.com/oneplus-7-pro-gm1910-sub-pba-board-1041100055.html?sl=en
Does anyone of you changed their sub PBA board or have it changed out of warranty from OnePlus? If so, where did you buy the board from and if OnePlus changed it, how much did it cost?

I bought a nexus 5 like 10 days ago. It was working perfectly fine but recently my earphone jack started giving problem. Whichever earphones i use (and I've tried like 5 different ones) but the right earpiece gives a very faded sound where as left works fine. The phone has not been damaged at all. Can it be a software issue or is it faulty hardware? What should i do?

Faulty hardware. If you bought it new or used from eBay or something, you should be able to return it. If there's no warranty available for it, you can repair it yoursefl. LGs are very modular, and you can pick up the headphone jack module for $7 on eBay. Go to ifixit.com for a teardown tutorial.

It's probably a hardware issue. You might have dropped the phone somewhere or the phone might got damaged while in your pocket by getting in contact with something else which caused pressure on it and the right(clip, in the jack) got damaged. You can go and show it to someone who repair phones and he might help you out with a cheap method(except of doing it yourselve which might creat another problem, but you can always find tutorials and try to do it yourselve which I prefer no to do in this case). Good luck!

Suddenly my 6+ went quiet....it does not ring, play music, the speaker is completely dead. Headphones work.... Not sure if this is related to hardware or firmware, so I'm just wandering if others have experienced this.
I have a Chinese version of the phone, running on a developer version, CUSTCHN00D672, downloaded from the EMUI site. It still vibrates, but I'm sort of handicapped with a phone who does not ring.........almost as it's stuck in DoNot Disturb......
Edit: Ordered a new speaker from China, USD 6,- + Repair set/opening tools, USD 1.5. this phone is too good to dump after one years use...
So I received the speaker, opened the phone, and changed it.... Speaker worked, but phone did not boot. Would not start at all without the charger . ? Tried to use Multitool and rescue, but since it was locked, it was not possible. Tried a KitKat Rom, it installed, but still no boot. Seems I have in some way I have wrecked some contacts on the PCB where the USB port is, while trying to pry loose the speaker holder(just plastic). So, be a bit more gentle if you try to open this phone... A pity, but seems I'll go for a new Honor 7, as I don't think it will be affordable to change the PCB. The speaker has stopped working again, so it may be something else which is wrong with the phone... Love the EMUI, and the dual cameras on the 6+, so the Honor 7 seems to have most of the things I need in a phone. If somebody have better recommendation, please advice!
Please give me some tips....

1. There is no way to find out if any phone is refurbished or not
2. You can use PhDoctor app to test the hardware, it's free on the Play Store.
3. So far, I don't hear to be any problems with any OnePlus 6 batch.
4. It doesn't matter if the phone was rooted or not. It doesn't have protection against that like Samsung does. No matter what, you always can revert back to stock, unroot and lock or unlock the bootloader at any time you wish.
5. The charger must be original, I don't here about any fake OnePlus charger or OnePlus 6 so far on the market or on the second hand selling site.
6. The OnePlus 6 ( 5T, 5, 3T, 3) phone does not came with the headphones in the box. I have doubt there is a fake headphones out there on the market.
7. You cannot know how old any phone is. Older then launch date, cannot be! (5 months maybe, OnePlus 6 was launched on May 2018)
Hope it helps!
You can use 'oneplus care' app available on play store offical app of one plus it can check every hardware

Just use it for couple of minutes, play a song, push the volume - and + buttons, power button, alert slider, take some photos with back and front camera, with flash on to see if it work, test the vibration motor by putting the phone on silent. Open Google Maps and see if it localize you and how fast is doing that. Take a careful look at all the sides, ports and buttons, plug in to the charger to see if it charges or not. Take headphones with you and plugging in to see if you hear something on headphones.
Give a restart and a power of and power on back to see if it's boot normally. Make a phone call to see if you hear loudly enough, after that, put the call on speaker and ask some questions to see if the other side can hear you fine and to see if you can here the other side from the speaker.
Turn WiFi off and on to see if the phone detects the WiFi router's on your area, turn Bluetooth of and on to see if seeing some device's around you (or you can take a Bluetooth device with you to test it, to see if will connect to your Bluetooth device)
When you make a call, put your hand on the notch and take it and then back on to see if the proximity sensor work (when you put your hand on the notch and you are in call, the display will turn off immediately. When you take your hand from the notch and you are in the call, the display will turn back on immediately)
Open a web page from browser and switch the phone from portrait to landscape to see if the screen orientation fallow your phone position (make sure the auto rotation toggle is on)
Basically this will tell you if the gyroscope works.
Good look with your acquisition!
To test the charger, charge the phone on the charger you're getting and if it makes a blip sound and gives you a blue light while charging (which denotes its dash charging), you should be good. I'm almost sure if the charger isn't real, it can't dash charge.

You can actually learn a lot about used phone by running IMEI check on line, you should be able to see (1) production date (2) original shipment date and, (3) factory registration date by the original owner. Also, the IMEI SV(software version) number changes every time when any OS modification are made so the number should ideally be 01, but 02 is fine - the OS gets upgrades sometimes before the phone is shipped out.
That's how I found out that the "brand new" Samsung S9+ I've bought directly from them was a refurbished one and eventually got my money back after almost 3 months of hassles with their customer service.
I bought redmi note 7 pro on the very first sale from Flipkart on 13 march 2019
But unfortunately i had a problem in the handset..
The caller was hearing his own echo..on the receiver side during normal calls and..even on whatsapp or facebook messenger calls
I got the handset replaced ..
But unfortunately i am having the same problem even now..
I chatted with your customer support and even called them atleast 4 times..and everytime they told me to wait for an update..but i had received that update..(miui 10.2.7.0) but still the problem is not getting resolved..they told me to factory reset the device..but it was of no use..they told me to swap the sim cards .but no use..
And i think i am the only one facing this issue
What should i do ?
Same problem
I am facing the same issue on Redmi note 7 pro. I also went for a replacement but the replaced product also has the same issue. I don't know what to do?? ?

Absolute peice of rubbish junk.
Is there a way I could ask for refund.
Learnt my lesson hardway.. Never trust Chinese crap... At least not the latest release to market.
Regards
Kk

My device got replaced 2 times (Note 7) but still, the issue is same. Could you please share me your job sheet number. As service center team saying that issue is reported only from me . I will also share jobsheet ID for your referance.
Hello All please share your jobsheet id to get this issue resolved.
Could you please your jobsheet details ? Which will help all
Remove silicone cover from the device. Hope issue will never persist.
All of you fellas have a backcover installed.Remove the back cover and check
This is killing me man. I really need my back cover.
Even I am facing the echo issue. Also sometimes screen became inactive during call and i am not able to see or do anything on screen.
Is there any solutions available. Please suggest.

It's just a theory, but... the phone have two microphone, the second, in top it's for noise cancelling. These two microphones if not syncornized well, the echo appear. If without cover the sound it's clear, no echo, check if the silicone case have hole where the second mic.

I saw posts about the second noise canceling mic. Anyways, I thought it had to be the design of the case that had to carry sound from the earpiece to mic or mic to 2nd mic or whatever.
Note the original openings on the side of the case.
Therefore I carved out section in the case where you find the main microphone. (used a red hot nail to do that)
Echo is now gone.
Solved it Myself
If your phone is rooted download Build.prop editor (By J Rummy apps). Navigate to System>Build.prop through the app.
Check for the following codes in the file
#Audio
ro.qc.sdk.audio.ssr=false
ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype=fluence
persist.audio.fluence.voicecall=true
persist.audio.fluence.voicerec=false
persist.audio.fluence.speaker=false
If the aforesaid lines are not there in that file, simply paste them there and your echo problem will be resolved.
Hello everyone,
The phone is a leeco x526 bought from banggood couple of years ago
Suddenly the in call speaker stopped working
I went on and bought a couple of earpiece module replacement from aliexpress,
I've disassembled the phone and replaced it, but did not solve the problem: still no sound from the in call speaker.... tried both the earpieces I bought
All the rest is working fine, including the loudspeker on the bottom.
PS. I've also tried reflashing the rom (even the stock one)
I don't know what to try next, hoping some guru around here can help me
I'm almost tempted to try the oven trick, but I'll wait a few days to see if anyone can gives me some other idea

Can you upload photos?
Perhaps the connection of the replacement speaker is weak?
Or maybe the contacts on the main board a little loose
Pictures would be helpful
Thanks for the answers.
I'm not sure if it's Hardware or Software, but I think it's hardware since when it stopped working it didn't had any update/rom flash/etc
I've tried to clean the contacts on the pcb
The earpice is not misplaced cause it's forced in the right position by the black plastic cover that sits over the pcb
Here's a pic, sorry for the weird quality:
I've tested the 2 earpieces that came from aliexpress with a multimeter in "continuity mode" and for both the value is around 30, I think they are ok.
I don't know if there's a way to test with the multimeter those 2 points on the pcb where the earpiece should sit.
Well I guess I'll give the oven trick it's chance next weekend, then I'll toss it away or use it as a car gps
