I have found that Jio TV box provided with Jio Fiber Connection, is not allowing to use general settings.
How ever being an Android TV Box, settings will be available in an application form. So one can always install applications that allow to remap the buttons or keys either on Remote Controller / Keyboard / Mouse. e.g. "Button Mapper" is one such application.
I personally does not have Jio TV Box, but I have found many searching for solution. Above trick might work your you. If any problem occurs, please reply in comment.
can't install any application. how would we install a remapper?
You can install it from Google Play Store.
If you are not finding that application in Play Store, then you will have to "Side Load" that application.
"Side Load" an app means, you will have to download the apk file of the application, put it/make accessible for your JioTV box, enable third party application in settings, and then install the apk file by clicking it on JioTV box. If you are new to side loading you can Google it YouTube it for nice explanation and demonstration of it.
I hope this helps you.

- There is no "Play Store"
- There no way to install apk. Native android "Settings" are not accessible.
JioTV box is a trimmed down version of Android OS without Google Play Store. This means you need to use other Apps and tools for this purpose.
You can watch this youtube video, that explains how to install JioTV Apk on JioTV Box.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75rkGDoVQCA&ab_channel=BhushanDroid
Similarly you can install the application you want.
Let me know if this works for you.

Youtube video is 9 months old and is not applicable anymore
The options he accesses in his video are not available in jio tv box now.
That's pretty old video...
Yes, After Feb 2020 Jio had removed the Android Settings as well as App Installer.
The default set top box comes with options of installing third party software, as soon as you connect it with Internet it gets update and it blocks everything.
We need to wait till some solutions is possible for this.

I have a problem with facebook app for android since I recently updated it to the latest version which is version 6.0.0.28.28
My problem was whenever I play a video a video, the video will be played by facebook built in video player. Supposedly before update, I was able to choose a 3rd party video player to play it. I always choose MX Player to play facebook videos because there's a lot of options to choose like H/W or S/W and video scaling.
Is there a work around to disable facebook built in video player.? I have tried to clear defaults but still doesn't work.
If anyone here has a copy of the facebook apk version 4.0.0.26.3 I would like to ask a copy of it. I think this is not a violation for warez because facebook is free to download in play store. I just needed that specific version because that works perfectly on my phone.
Is there a way or an app that can automatically backup an app in android before updating.? Hope you'll share your ideas here.
Thanks for taking time to read this.
Use facebook 8.0.0.0.23 dev version. It is not only the latest version but also supports the feature you said.
Use ES File Explorer to back up apps manually before upgrading.
I have uploaded app called System Optimizer apk that can backup apps before updating but it comes with its own market.
Good Luck!

Hi,
I would like to have Youtube without ads on my AndroidTV box (the box is provided by my ISP and is not "rootable").
I dont want to use a solution that will need a VPN (because of privacy issues). So, I can't use Adaway, nor DNS66 solution.
I tried Youtube vanced but it doesnt work correctly on the android TV. The remote control and the interface is for "mobile" and not for television
I also tried "Smart Youtube TV" but even if the app has a great interface (the same as the original), I still has ads displayed.
Do you know good solutions for my purpose ?
Thanks a lot community !

Try installing ES File Explorer, then download a YouTube.apk, store the apk file in your internal storage in the folder of your choice. Then, open ES File Explorer, tap the menu button, find the "Network" option, then select "Android TV", click "scan", if it finds the TV, connect with it, then it should allow you to install YouTube on the TV using the apk file that you stored on your device.
Sent from my LGL84VL using Tapatalk
will the interface be same like stock android tv yt app and what about ads?
cast it from your phone.
Chromecast!

Figured this has been discussed many times, but could not find the details?
Was wondering if there was a way to get a youtube app installed on Webos that will play videos without ads? I know it may need to be rooted, so if thats needed thats ok. It seems like there is a way root now with 3.5 or lower.
I know with Android this is easy with or without root. So would like to do the same with LG SmartTV running WebOS.
you can probably add the urls for the ads to the hosts file which should stop them from loading

Can I do that not rooted?
URL blocking hasn't worked for well over a year with YouTube. PiHole and the like are ineffective.
You need a modified app that doesn't play ads, like you get for Android. I don't think one exists for LG WebOS.
Run youtube without ads on LG-TV
Have the Youtube app installed on the LG-TV (Useing this app direcly will always show adds on all youtube videos), if you have an android phone -Then google "YouTube Vanced" -its a modded adfree Android YouTube client, works on none rooted android phones. Run the app on your phone search for the Video then use icon to cast screen to the TV. Youtube app on TV will show the video without ads.
I guess you can do the same if you have iPhone and an youtube adfree app.

any update on this subject? unfortunately casting from Vanced is not a solution anymore, TV keeps showing ads which can be skipped after 5s of viewing. What is interesting - Vanced even displays a notification that TV is going to show the ad in a few secs
I just went to https://rootmy.tv from my LG TV web browser and it installed the homebrew channel, from that I was able to install the adfree youtube mod and disable my TV checking for new updates which might lose my root. It also includes SponsorBlock in the mod so it will skip annoying subscription reminders & in-video promotions.
Can you revert back if needed?

Hello
I want to post a pre-recorded video live on Instagram. I want to use the Instagram app for this
There are 2 ideas. (Sites providing Instagram streaming services are illegal and there is a possibility of banning the account, so it must be done with the main Instagram app)
The first one is the obs program to use its virtual camera feature in the Android emulator, which unfortunately was not possible for the virtual camera to come as hardware on the device manager and the emulator sees it as a camera, and it caused a lot of trouble, no matter what I did, it did not work. The manycam program was successful, but portrait and desired size were not possible and the image in the camera was problematic.
The second way is to create a virtual camera in the phone with an xposed or Magisk module or a program and define a video to play as a camera.
For lsposed, there was a module called VCAM that provided exactly what I wanted, but no matter what I did, I could not launch it. There were no video tutorials.
There are many programs for Facebook, YouTube, etc., but everything is limited for Instagram
My brain is stuck because of too many searches
If anyone has experience or solution to do this please help
any help ?
Would like to know if there is a magisk module to fake camera input too. If I still did online school I would just put a png of me on the (fake) webcam and play video games

xposed安卓虚拟摄像头 android virtual camera on xposed hook - GitHub - w2016561536/android_virtual_cam: xposed安卓虚拟摄像头 android virtual camera on xposed hook

its worked but not stable and user friendly
I'm testing on instagram live its fine
I'm Still Looking For better way to do this
Did anyone make this work? I am also looking for a way of making a virtual camera work on ANdroid.
MOD Translation:
I am trying to use rtmp instead of camera
我正在尝试使用 rtmp 而不是相机

I am not a developer but searching for solution of similar problem. I found a solution for what you are trying to do

Bluestacks have solved the problem and now you can use OBS virtual webcam as camera input device in Bluestacks emulator
There's an app Virtual Camera: Fake Camera that clones the app and you can set a video, photo or network stream (idk about this one how to set to work), but I've tested the video method on Tiktok and worked fine (on another camera app it didn't work for example)
