Hi guys...
I'm pretty new here. I hope I'm posting in the right place.
I'd like to know how to UNDELETE files from the internal memory of an HTC phone (It's a Raphael aka HTC Pro). I think the way is the same for every phone. But I searched and I didn't find anything usefull.
I hope you can help me... The phone is not mine (I have a Mogul) and I'm trying to understand how to do it for a good purpose
I'm testing some programs on the Mogul/Titan (with WM6.5) but nothing works. I tried wm5torage to try to see the partiotions, but it's not working. I tried NORMAL windows (I'm using windows 7 x64) undelete softwares but they can't recognise the phone memory. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP
I have a working Android 1.6 on the SD card... Linux based systems are usually good for that things hehehe so any solution with that OS is good too!
I understand technical stuff, so no problems with hard ways Any way to dump the memory and undelete from image file etc... Anything... I really need to find a way. The point is: Retrieve a deleted movie that can keep an innocent person out of prison. And sorry for my messy English too... I'm Italian.

If the purpose is this, then you need to send the phone to specialists, who will take memory chip out and read it externally. Every "turn on" or every attempt to retrieve data by internal means will just cut off the deleted video more.
They will put memory chip back in place after reading and the service don't cost extremely too much. I remember it's something like $200
search data recovery from chip. there is more results.

In an attempt to get a definitive answer to this question.
Firstly, for those not aware, if you have the box your phone came in, the code should be listed with the IMEI number. If you don't have the box, or the code written down somewhere, your quest seems futile.
I had my 9502 into Telstra (Australia) for warranty work 3 times after I-Mate shut down. Each time it came back with at clean ROM install. After a long inquiry, and a number of heated phone calls, Telstra would not reveal my ROM CODE or how they were able to get it (most of the people I spoke to didn't know what I was talking about, and wouldn't put me onto the people who would).
THE APPEAL
Any techs out there (or anyone that might know a tech they can ask) that know how to get the ROM CODE, please let us in on the secret.
Seriously, all these phones are old tech now anyway, so whats the problem.
If the codes can't be generated, please let us know that so we can go about our lives in peace.
I don't want guesses, or rumors. I want a tech who knows what they are talking about to give us a final answer.

How to use it - I don't know, as I don't have this device.
But most likely you need to copy all files to empty FAT16 SD card (non-SDHC) and find key combination to launch BOOTLOADER.
I think it's the only way to flash it without ROM CODE.
You should somehow access this menu (found this in oemsbl.mbn):

Not sure how to do this, and my concern is that I don't know what the ROM is, and if it's not any good (or in Chinese) I've got no way to get back to where I am now.

ROM is operating system in this case it's WM6.1.
You don't need to flash it, you just need to find a way to get phone into SD Downloader mode. Chinese ROM is the only one I have, but if it's possible to flash it through SD Card - I could probably make English ROM.
Thx for the offer of the english ROM Spiaatie, but I'm not sure i'll improve anything. I had a look around on my hdd for some of the ROMs I d/ld when there was an active thread on XDA for the 9502, and it looks like I've deleted them. Since the thread seems to have been deleted (an observation not a complaint) there probably isn't much point pursuing this further. Since getting my HTC Desire, I have only been looking to streamline the 9502 OS a bit so my kids can play games on it, so I wouldn't want anyone wasting valuable time for that.

Sorry for such a late response. I was searching for something else when I found out this thread. Anyway, in order to put the 9502 in bootloader mode, press and hold both the left 'OK' and the right '-' (vol-down) buttons, and, whilst keeping them pressed, slide the screen up to reveal the hardware keyboard, and briefly press the reset pin with the stylus pen.
Just my 2 cents...

ok, I referred here by a friend after explaining what is going on.... my wife has a sharp FX plus... and it has been a problem since day one with the memory... I read the Q & A sticky, but don't know what I need to do in order to fix the problem so once I figure that out I should be ok.
the sharp says storage device is full on phone, if she gets two text messages it is full, she repeatedly daily has to uninstall games and erase all messages the phone does not give the option to move unused apps to the sd card or to erase unused apps, not to mention if she has mms on she can't receive texts and if she has text on she can't download mms.... like I said I'm new to all this... does anyone know how to fix this she loves the phone and the slide out keyboard and hates how big new phones are so I'm here to see if I can find a fix.... please help so I can put a smile on the wifes face!!!!
wow, not even a shot in the dark.... thats crazy.... I know there has got to be something....there is stuff all over the web so I guess I'm off to search.... I've softmodded alot of console so I should be able to get it down pretty quick, just need a direction to go.....

What do you mean here... It sounds like your saying you have to "use" the app first in order for it to be moved or erased? Which im sure is not the case.
Respond with details of what ROM/ android version, build, memory option, etc. These are things needed to know before any help can be given because suggestions vary especially if you are rooted.
... But try this first, go to settings --> Storeage --> Internal memory and respond with either a screen shot or details if privacy is an issue. I would figure you will find the 'heavy' items there to delete... usually multimedia and not apps are the culprit.

As most of you might know, my phone, the Samsung Galaxy XCover GT-S5690 is old and comes with a tiny internal memory, with Android 2.x and it is just at the limit. I pimped it with a 64GB SD-Card, but I need a way to make the phone accept this card as primary memory. I would also love to use a newer android like 4.x, because I am almost blinde and the old one has a very bad accassibility. I googled a lot and found almost nothing exept for some very complicated how-tos which I don't understand anything of. I good with Windows and also programming php or javascript, but completly unexperienced with Linux based systems, I don't feel able to "just compile what I need".
I need someone experienced to tell me, what's possible and how to do it step by step.

Ok, so, i first contacted the Samsung community, but all they could help me with was "well, just reset the phone or the sd" so i'm searching for some help here .
My SD won't show in some apps, system apps will show SD, but apps like RAR, or Donnin Audio Editor won't.
Simply, the explorer doesn't show the SD folder (external), the problem is that with Google Files or Samsung Files i can access that folder without root access, but donnin requires it, and that's weird because with my old S10 i did that every time, it was such a common action that having it removed now seems unreal, permissions are enabled, SD and phone resetted twice.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, Android 11, One UI 3, not planning to root the phone for now, it's brand new.
P.S. - Sorry for eventual bad english, i'm italian and i'm not using a translator
I personally just think that Android 11 is pretty buggy, or that the apps aren't optimized for this version, but i don't know, hope there's a solution!
