Hi! Need a update.img file for my Android 4.2 car gps stereo!!!!!
My unity was like dead for several months and for my surprise It wasn’t broken. I managed to get the unity in to recovery mode, and after some research I found out I need the to update/ recover the firmware and “update.img or dupdate.img” is what I need and the Ebay company that sold it to me is inactive. Is anyone out there with the identical or similar unit that would be kind to help me by sending me this file Please? Here I send some pictures from my unit, no name or brand, I bought it on July 2015 from autogpsel06 on Ebay.

Have you assumed it is an MTCD or MTCE?
Thanks for your attention!
First of all, I want to thank you for using your time to help me with this issue.
I will read all those threads carefully. As I don't have the exact brand of my unit and the unit does not boot, it can only get in to recovery mode, thats why I can't answer your question, I can't get in to settings... but I found a exact look alike unit on the market that uses Android 4.4 instead 4.2 here is the link, you may be able to get the answer you asked. As I bought my unit from autogpsel06 on Ebay and they don't answer my emails, can't confirm the units Origen, but I am pretty sure that this is the one! Shenzhen electronics Hui Fei.

My son wants a Joying headunit for his 2008 honda accord. Preferably a 10.1 universal. I am trying to decide which one to choose and have a couple of questions.
1. Does he have to get a double DIN? Any benefit of a double over the single?
2. Is there a difference between US-JY-UO138N4GS or the US-JY-UO134N4GS besides price?
3. Will i need to buy a universal wiring harness?
4. Will we need to buy a canbus to still utilize his steering wheel control?
Thank you in advance.
I have a lancer 2010 and i saw nothing but youtube videos of people using sygav on their lancer cars but i also saw that joying makes a lancer head unit but noone in the lancer community uses it. Is joying a pretty good company and should i take the risk with no reviews on the head unit. Also do they update there software pretty often i looked on there website and didnt see any updates to the lancer head unit?
Heres the links to the head units It looks like maybe joying has better hardware but im not sure

Joying sell FYT units, your question is probably, which FYT unit should I buy.
I've seen several people here say that the OBDLink SX OBD2 to USB cable is preferred for Android HU's. Unfortunately it is currently out of stock on Amazon and stock is shaky elsewhere (maybe discontinued?) and it appears there are newer models that support FORScan, which is mainly a Ford protocol. I have an 08 Toyota Land Cruiser 200 series. Supposedly it will work with Toyota, but OBDLink recommends the MX+ for Toyota, which is Bluetooth. I don't want Bluetooth cause it will interfere with other bluetooth connections to my HU.
So which is the best one to go with? Get an OBLink on eBay from a good seller? Other options? Thanks!

EKIY T7. Generic FYT 7862 based HU.
I ended up ordering an OBDLink EX off Amazon. It supports ELM327 and FORScan. The latter seemed to imply is was specifically made for Ford/Mazda and a few other vehicles and might not be compatible with other brands, including my Toyota, but from what I can tell, it's a general all-around OBD2 reader just like any other, but with these added features (ELM327 and FORScan). It should work just as good, if not better than other units for my Android HU on Toyota Land Cruiser 200. Time will tell. Aloha!
