I bought an unlocked Sprint OnePlus 7 Pro 5g and just went through the OEM unlock process. I haven't don't much to my phone except TWRP and Magisk.
I checked with Google Fit before buying and it is supported, but just not the carrier switching. Wondering if anyone has similar issues or have seen better connectionw on international. Thanks!

Hi all
So are OnePlus phones like pixels where there is no way of SIM unlock without getting network to give unlock code?
I'm getting mine from EE in UK and they said I can only unlock after 6 month's!
Sprint OnePlus 7 Pro 5G
I'm Also interested in unlocking my device!
I bought mine from ebay and is sprint locked, I live in France and as you can imagine I can't use it here.
Any help would be much appreciated!

EE's OnePlus models are unlocked by default?
Hey there Everyone!
For Christmas, I was gifted a OnePlus 7 Pro 5g(sprint variant). As I'm sure everyone knows, the bootloader is locked. and I was really hoping for a phone with Android 10. I've seen posts where some progress has been made on getting this device unlocked but nothing concrete yet.
My question is, Should I keep my OnePlus 7 pro and wait for an unlocked bootloader, or should I just return it?
Any input is welcomed!
Thanks

There is no guarantee you will be able to unlock the BL.
Also the phone is unique to Sprint (maybe EE in Europe has same phone) and that means the software/ROM is unique.
You will not be able to flash a generic international firmware version since the 5G is using the X50 modem.
If your desire is for a phone with an unlock able/unlocked BL on Sprint; good luck with that.
Not to be sarcastic, but Sprint is even more locked down that Verizon.

I'm actually on a VZW prepaid plan currently using a Chinese Mi Mix 3. My main hope would be to get it running Android 10. I could really care less about the 5g speeds as I don't really get access to it with my plan. My biggest issue with my Mi Mix 3 is that Development seems to be completely dead and I don't want to get stuck in the same scenario. But if there is hope for the OP7P5G, I dont mind hanging onto it until I can use it to its full potential.
Could be a fun ride for you... ?
i have gotten many phones on sprint unlocked such as pixels and they work. im getting a oneplus for free and have to use it for 50 days before they unlock it. don't know more than that but id trade for a pixel 3xl or something since i can confirm they can be unlocked and rooted. im using my pixel 3xl rooted on Verizon right now so i can confirm the sprint variant of that phone works.
I just bought the device from ebay seller who listed it as unlocked but it's locked to spectrum. I was wondering if anyone has been able to unlock the device from this carrier. Any help is appreciated. (SS548)

I bought mine directly from Spectrum, it had to be paid off and I had to call Spectrum tech support to unlock it (Sim lock?). After that, I could follow the procedure to unlock and root. Note: I unrooted and relocked as I found little value in being rooted at the moment and preferred to be able to use google pay, which is blocked if phone is unlocked (will likely go back to root after Google stops supporting the phone and will load lineageos, if I still have the phone).

So the only way to unlock the bootloader is to have the carrier sim-unlock the device first? I'm kinda surprised there isn't an exploit to get around that.

You shouldn't be surprised considering Verizon Pixels 2, 3 ,4 don't have exploits.
Who knows what OP is actually talking about. His title is talking about bootloader unlock, while his post is talking about carrier unlock.
Hello everyone!
A few months ago my fiancee switched from her OnePlus 7 Pro to an iPhone, and I switched from my Pixel 3 to her OnePlus.
For context, I'm Verizon, she's AT&T, and the OnePlus 7 is a GM1910 International Model.
To use the device on Verizon I had to spend a few hours on the phone with support until they connected me to an ancient sage lady who was able to provision the device as CDMA-less(even though I spent hours telling the other techs that that's what they needed to do...)
To my question though. I'm using to having an unlocked bootloader and flashing, but I don't know if flashing anything will interfere with any provisioning that Verizon had to do when I had called them.
Does anyone have direct experience with this? I'd really prefer not to have to go through support again if I flash something and find out that my SIM is back to using the old bands with no service.
You'll be completely fine. The CDMA-less setting is on their side. I had a 6T and a OnePlus 8 on Verizon flashed with ROMs and they all worked fine!

I figured that was the case.
Thank you!
I swapped sims on to an 8T from a CDMA Pixel and cdma-less got added on it's own. Somehow it ID'd the phone.
Hello all,
I read online that Verizon and AT&T would be carrying the 5G mmwave version of the Pixel 6a only. Anyone know if it is possible to purchase this phone outright from a carrier with bootloader unlocked? I have no interest in getting one of these phones without OEM unlocking enabled, but I don't want to miss out on features either. Thank you.
From a carrier no, you can't get an unlocked phone. You most likely will have to buy it from the google store. Saying that, if you load the Android 13 load for the pixel 6a, c-band 5G and mmWave 5g should be available for it I believe. Unless they switched the samsung modem chip to a different one from the 6/6 pro to the 6a.

You can't buy any phone with a bootloader unlocked. I presume you mean bootloader unlockable, i.e. OEM switch active and not grayed out. Forget Verizon completely but I'm not sure about ATT. Verizon charges $100 more for a technology that is dubious at best at this point and ATT is about $20 more. If you consider it a feature that you will use you'll have to buy the device from one or the other. Personally I don't care about mmWave and I have Verizon as a carrier. There is no way I'd give up being able to unlock the bootloader even though I don't unlock it any longer. But I want the option and I've been know to flip the switch before I install an update or some other beta just so I can roll back albeit with a full device wipe.
You can buy an unlocked version from Google without 5G mmWave or from BB for about the same price. Check with ATT see if the device is carrier unlocked and bootloader unlockable or wait for someone to buy one from ATT and come here to see if there is a bypass for the OEM switch. As I said take Verizon off your radar there is no way.
edit: Verizon is $499 only $50 more and it seems like the ATT version is the same $449 price. I'm still not sure is the ATT version is unlockable though and if it for certain has the mmWave tech in it. Perhaps someone with more knowledge of ATT could chime in.
