Bluetooth mouse issue while on call - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Questions & Answers

I use a Bluetooth mouse connected to the Samsung Note 20 Ultra. Every time I am in the middle of a phone call or video call using Google Duo that I receive or make, the cursor for the Bluetooth mouse connected is very erratic and it is practically impossible to control it. The cursor moves slowly across the screen and jumps after a brief time. However, immediately after the call, the Bluetooth mouse and the cursor returns to normal speed and everything. I never had this issue on any other of my Android phones, including a Samsung Note 8. I submitted a bug report to Samsung and Google. Anybody else have this problem and figure out a way to fix it?

Anybody know how to fix this issue? Who should I address it to, should I contact Samsung or Google? I also get started today that the weird Bluetooth mouse behavior happens when the microphone is on. For instance, the live transcribe app does the exact same erratic behavior. It does not affect all apps with the microphone open because the Google voice typing feature does not affect the Bluetooth mouse.

I think I found the culprit after so long. The erratic Bluetooth mouse behavior only happens when I using bluetooth earbuds at the same time. I use the Galaxy buds Pro. Is there a solution to fix this issue?

Bluetooth connectionn stutter (Keyboard and Mouse)

As the subject states, I successfully connected my BT mouse and keyboard to the GT 7+. However, I noticed that the mouse movement stutters heavily and keyboard press lag. For example:
1). WITHOUT running any applications (I use Samsung RAM Manager to kill everything), I move the mouse from STOP and there was about 0.5 - 1 seconds before the GT7+ register the movement and move the mouse. When I stop moving the mouse and then move it again, the same thing happened.
2). When I type in, say browser (Dolphin, built-in, doesn't matter), there was the same delay before what I type show up on the screen.
I never have this problem with the ASUS TF. Is this GT7+ issue?
Those who uses BT mouse and keyboard, can you confirm?
Are you experiencing this problem still? What model kb & mouse? I'm thinking about buying a BT kb & mouse/touchpad to use with my Tab Plus.

I sometimes use a Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000 with my GT-P6210.
I sometimes notice some delay in the characters appearing on screen. The lag seems to happen less when I don't use the "Samsung keypad" (instead opting for the "Hacker's keyboard" app), but there are still occasional delays.
That said, this keyboard is certainly usable for me.
I haven't tried a mouse.

Yes it does. I use Amazon Basic Bluetooth Keyboard (search it in Amazon) and Logitech Bluetooth mouse (m555b model).
i am experiencing the same issues, using my FelTouch Magic touchpad as keyboard and mouse. especially the mouse issue is really annoying. ...
I can confirm this. There's a very similar thread in the 7.7 Accessories forum as well.
I've seen this issue arise when using any "input" type bluetooth device. I have both an iControlPad and a keyboard. When playing games, if I don't press a button for a few seconds, and then press one, the response is a bit delayed (more so than normal, and noticeable) - this is the issue reported in the OP. After that, pressing buttons works normally (at least until another sufficiently long pause).
However, I've also noticed that a key or button being held down, if held down for too long (I think 3+ seconds), will cause the tablet to repeat that letter (or action) multiple times for a second or two. If the same key is held down for just a few seconds (only 1 or 2), the letter or action will stop repeating immediately after I've let go of the key.
I've reported this issue to Samsung, but no response yet. This issue does not exist on my Motorola Razr Maxx (on the contrary - I'm actually amazed by the response time when using the iControlPad).
I want to mention that I was having buggy/delay issues when using a bluetooth barcode scanner in HID mode with the GT-P6210. Switching to SPP mode avoided all the delays/bugs. Perhaps you could try a mouse or keyboard which supports SPP connections.
Alright, quick update. I originally emailed their support about this issue, and they responded that I should call their support department, which I just did. It's a quick, direct line to someone who seems to know what they're talking about, which was a nice surprise!
Anyway, I reported the issues in this thread, and she seemed to understand what I was saying, and that she'd hand that on to people who could reproduce the issue. Hopefully this makes it into the next update! I did make a point to ask about ICS, but she couldn't tell me any details
Also: k_t_b, the iControlPad does have an SPP mode (in addition to a HID mode), and both modes result in the same noticeable delay. I'm not sure if that's just an issue with the device, or what. I've heard of people using Wii remotes and PS3 controllers to connect, and I wonder if they've run into these same issues...
After flashing the new ICS leak for GT-P6210 (UK), it seems that the bluetooth stutter issue has been FIXED! Keyboard and iControlPad now work flawlessly! Will update if I run i to any issues.

[Q] Bluetooth Voice Command prompts not loud enough / Nexus 5 and Pioneer CD-BTB200

Hey,
I am having trouble with my Pioneer CD-BTB200 Bluetooth Adapter, which is a common problem, according to the very few available threads on the internet.
This also didn't work with any other Smartphone before i.e. Samsung S3 or Blackberry Bold 9700.
Cliffnotes:
-pairing, media streaming (different source) and receiving and making calls works great! No issues there
-transfering the contact list results in a big mess, I have to dig in there if I can figure it out or if I just transfer one contact after another....
-now for the problem.......I installed Cyberon Voice Commander because it gives me the best behaviour and voice recognition since I am a native German speaker. Google, Dragon and AIVC don't work really well. But it doesn't matter which voice assist app I use, because it is the Bluetooth adapters fault. The Nexus 5 is rooted and runs stock Kernel with KitKat 4.4.2.
When I press the voice dial button on my Pioneer AVH-P5000DVD deck it activates the Cyberon Voice Commander app (or whichever is set as default). so far so good, that is what I want.
But! the dialog between me and the phone is almost impossible because the output volume over the car speakers is way to low. I have to literally pick up the phone and look at it's display to see what the voice commanding app is doing because you have to wait until it is finished asking what I want to do. (just holding a phone is illegal in Germany)
Assuming the app understood me right and starts dialing everything turns to be fine from that point because the volume of the actual call is perfect!
When the phone talks back to me I have to crank the volume all the way up to understand it a little bit and then turn it back down fast before the phone call starts or it'll blow the speakers out....since my car is quite loud when on temperature I don't think I will understand anything when I am driving.
I heard that the app TASKER could be programmed to raise the Bluetooth volume at a certain point and then lower it again. I checked but it only goes up to 15, which I already have set before with the stock volume slider. Additionally I have no idea how to configure Tasker to (maybe) get rid of the problem.
Has anyone ever heard of a similar problem and / or has an idea how to handle it?
Again, it's only the voice command prompts that are way to quiet when I start the voice dialing function via Bluetooth, everything else is fine.
Fixed the issue with SoundAbout!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.woodslink.android.wiredheadphoneroutingfix&hl=de
Now the voice prompts play loud and clear over the car speakers! Every other volume managing app failed miserably!
I used the latest Beta Version btw, going to buy the Pro Version soon.

I did very little changes to the settings, if anyone is interested I can hook you up with some screenshots

Idol 3 Bluetooth + Wifi while driving or changing Wifi

While driving bluetooth stops or some time lag voice if wifi is on. same issue noticed without wifi enable also but very less.
It seems whenever wifi changes to different network or connects or disconnects bluetooth is loosing or lagging voice.
Where as if i put it on speaker i can hear sound from speaker. I tried 5-6 different bluetooth and having same issue. i got replacement of phone also but same issue with new phone also. I could verify with older phone and it seems issue is only with Idol 3. Is any one else facing similar issue?
I tested this using a Bluetooth headset, and I am unable to replicate it. Turning WiFi on and off has no noticeable effect on playback via a the Bluetooth headset. Unfortunately , I have no way to test this while driving .

This issue is mainly happening while driving. It seems like while driving phone tries to goes from LTE to different modes and same with wifi as it tries to connect to different wifi. In this process it starts to lags voice on bluetooth and in few cases sound get disconnected.
Are you listening to music on your phone or streaming?
I haven't had any issues while driving using both Google music and slacker. Those are the only two streaming apps i use tho. I leave my Wi-Fi on all day. My deck is a Bluetooth pioneer unit, though the model number escapes me at the moment. I'm on T-Mobile BTW.
I don't drive anymore but I stream Rhapsody overnight onto my BT speakers and it never has conked out on me yet. There was one time I did lose the BT connection to the speakers before I did the factory reset but no issues with the BT since.
Issue is not with listenting music, it is during call through bluetooth while driving and having wifi and bluetooth both on.
OK I'll test that later on today. How often/with what frequency does it happen to you?

Almost 2 out of 3 attempts i am having this issue. even now in home i started call on bluetooth when wifi was off, then just put wifi one during call and voice from bluetooth started to get blurry and then other party could not hear me. and i had to disable wifi and then disable bluetooth and then on bluetooth again in phone.
Seems like issue is happening when phone is trying to connect to wifi and call is on bluetooth...

I do not have Netflix - but I tested with HBO Go - and YouTube - with airplane mode , WiFi and Bluetooth - And I am not seeing any audio lag - or audio interruption when switching from speakers to Bluetooth mid session. I am using Arctic P253BT headphones.
Alright I did a call today. It was only 5 minutes long but didn't notice anything. I'll try doing what you did starting a call in my driveway and turn WiFi on/off repeatedly at various time intervals.
I got replacement, but i can still see the issue with new phone also...

Sorry, my testing is put on hold as I had to send the device in to get a new screen (cracked). I couldn't get it done before because my wife kept stealing my car
I'm having kinda' the same problem. The thing is everytime I connect/disconnect there's a general lag in the phone! after one minute or so, it starts working ok

It's possible the bluetooth is unreliable because the phone gets busy as you indicated...I posted a couple of apps in the idol 3 apps section that help reduce lag and may help this...
Something I've done has made my bluetooth totally unreliable....whether linked to car or home phone system I can answer...talk for a few seconds and then it transfers the call back to the cell instead of the bluetooth device. I'll have to go back through my backups and find a version that doesn't do this.
I have demonstrated the same effect with my bt device (lg). When switching wifi networks bt microphone stop receiving so other party cannot hear me and the audio begins to break up and lag. I can switch off bt then back on and am fine till next wifi switchover. I was hoping the update from Alcatel would address this, was not the case. ;(
I also had the same kind of issue while listening music in car using Bluetooth, strangely it is happening when the WiFi try to connect to open WiFi available. And when that open WiFi is not able give internet accesses, then the phone just get stuck for some time. I have these issues frequently I need to restart my phone
I just purchase Alcatel Onetouch Idol 3 and and am having similar problem. I had a Plantronics M50 connected and people complained that I was breaking up and they couldn't hear me and it happened on my end sometimes too. When I'm calling someone, the ring will be normal at the beginning of the ring and then it will fad out at the end of the ring. Store rep told me this was normal. Has never done it with any of my other phones. Bought another bluetooth to try to determine if it was the bluetooth or the phone. Bought the Plantronics E50 and the same thing happens. Alcatel says it's the bluetooth and Plantronics says it's the phone. Betty at Alcatel also says the Plantronics bluetooth are not compatible with the Alcatel, however, the store sells the Plantronics Marque II to use with the Alcatel. Anyone have any suggestions or having the same problem?
I'm having the problem in car on bluetooth where the caller sounds like they are underwater and garbled and I'm told I do too. It comes and goes, very frustrating. I tested another Android and no problem.

There's a problem with the phone. It happened after the last Android update. My bluetooth was fine until marshmallow. It's so bad I went back to my Galaxy S4. I loved the Idol for just about everything, but horrible bluetooth. People can't hear you, it's a deal breaker.

Bluetooth unreliable?

I'm not sure when this issue started exactly but I've noticed that when using bluetooth both at home (I have a set of cordless phones with bluetooth link) and when linked to my two automobiles both receiving and initiating calls after a few seconds of conversation the phone suddenly switches to using the microphone and earphone instead of the bluetooth connection. This has occured with wifi on and off...in 3g and 2g areas....while tethering and not....etc....seems to be consistant with the device and I don't recall it doing it in the past so I'm wondering if the most recent 6045i update to ue40 might be part of the problem....in any case I'm looking for suggestions of apps or settings changes that might help with the bluetooth. I should mention I've also had music playing in the car drop at random intervals or at least I stop being able to hear it. This was playing local content so it wasn't a streaming issue.

Phone won't auto connect to car bluetooth

Hi all,
I have a very frustrating issue where when I start my car, instead of my phone connecting automatically to the bluetooth, the phone alerts me asking if I want to connect. I cannot work out why it doesn't just connect, I've already paired and given the required permissions! Sometimes, when it does automatically connect, the permissions for contacts and call history have been turned off and the headunit won't be able to use these unless I re-allow them on the phone (which also gives me a very annoying popup and sound). I have two phones and the issue happens with both although my Samsung seems to be worse than my Asus.
Can anyone tell me if this is an android issue or a car (21' hyundai i30N) issue?
Thanks,
