How do you disable Autopreconfig? - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Questions & Answers

I know you used to be able to disable Autopreconfig to prevent the phone from switching CSC. But that has disappeared with Android 10. What application controls that so we can disable the forced CSC changes? Looking to keep my phone on XAA with ATT. Trying to test somethings out.

Disable IPv6 setting not persistent

Nexus 5 stock Lollipop, latest update, rooted using this method.
I'm trying to disable IPv6 on my wife's phone so she can use FB, and I've been partially successful using the method found here. By "partially" successful, I mean the setting is not persistent and any time Wifi is disabled or not being used, the phone reverts back to attempting to use IPv6.
Is there a way to make the setting persistent, OR is there another way to disable IPv6? Having asked that, it would be an added bonus to be able to only disable IPv6 for certain apps, but I'll take what I can get either way. :good:
Thanks in advance

Airplane mode or switching of mobile data without root possible?

Hi folks,
I just switched my rooted custom rom HTC One M8 with the Galaxy S7 and now I am missing a few things (which was expected).
Is there a way to activate / deactivate airplane mode with Tasker or toggle mobile data even though Secure Settings is out of the picture (for now)?
I know this is not exactly a Galaxy S7 specific question but there may be a chance that someone else also switched from a rooted phone....
Additionally, I can't get Android Auto to work.

Yes, I was able to do this on my unrooted Z3C using Tasker and AutoInput. AutoInput emulates user swipes on the screen, meaning that you can pull down the notification menu and then enable/disable whatever toggle you want, including airplane mode.

Attempt to Recover Data Toggle on G920T (6.0.1)

So I have a G920T that is factory unlocked with an CSC being XAR that works perfectly most of the time. After I updated from 5.1.1 to 6.0.1, however, the mobile data toggle in the notification centre is gone, which according to my observation on the Internet happens to a lot of other users in the U.S. (except for Verizon users). I am reluctant to root as that would permanently disable me from using Samsung Pay, so I figured out a way to modify the system UI without root using a Windows computer and ADB commands:
1. Enable USB debugging in the developer mode
2. Connect the phone to the Windows computer
3. Run adb.exe in cmd on the computer
4. Input
settings put secure sysui_qs_tiles Wifi,Nfc,PowerSaving,RotationLock,Bluetooth,WifiCalling,Location,SilentMode,AirplaneMode,DormantMode,Flashlight,UltraPowerSaving,AllShareCast,Sync,SFinder,
and enter
It seems to work pretty well as the toggles can be moved, removed and added, as long as the syntax is correct. But when I try to get the data toggle, inputting MobileData, (as suggested by many other people on the Internet) doesn't work, neither do Data, CellData, or CellularData,. If I put Cellular, however, a mysterious toggle with an unfinished icon appears in my toggle tray saying "Emergency Calls Only", and if you click on it it's gonna display your recent data usage in the notification centre, with options to go into the data usage settings or "Done". Nonetheless, it still does not allow you to turn on/off your mobile data with one click like before. So I'm really just wondering: anyone knows what syntax I should use for the data toggle? Or it's basically impossible because Samsung has permanently removed this feature from non-Verizon U.S. phones?
Thanks!

Prevent T-mobile Ota updates [Rooted]

So I just recently managed to root my T-mobile version of the phone, and now I'm looking for a way to disable the automatic updates that come from the carrier. There seems to be no way to disable in the settings, but I was hoping to do it with the Autorun Manager app.
I'm unsure of what I should be looking for, though. Would anyone have any ideas? All I see under T-mobile is in the attached screen shot.
I don't know if this is what your looking for or if you have already tried, but in settings under developer options there is an option to turn off automatic updates. I don't know if this is for the apps or the firmware though
I tried that already, but that setting says it only prevents the update from being applied after it already downloads.

automatically activate wifi?

Hello
i use an app to automatically activate wifi when my screen is on and i'm home and to disable wifi when my screen is off it worked fine on my old phone and even on my oneplus 6t with android 10. but on my x50 pro it does not work automatically each time a popup asks me manually: the application requires authorization: activate or deactivate wifi: authorize or refuse.
how to delete this request and make it automatic (my phone is root)
I don't have a solution but i have the same problem.
My only 2 cents is that it seems to be mainly linked to the chinese ROM being very "harsh" in blocking everything. Any similar issues i had were solved by using the EU ROM, even with all the other implications of that right now.
i have the eu room and it's the same thing
I was gonna use Tasker to do a similar thing. But that also has that.
There is an option in Developer Options called "Disable Permission Monitoring". Automatic switching of wifi/bluetooth works with this option

that's the solution! thanks
I was wondering what that option was about (it doesn't disable permissions entirely, if someone thought that, i wondered ). Good catch!
