Just ordered and installed Realook screen protectors and I couldn't be more pleased. I have used other screen protection from Zagg and Sprint and I did not like them nearly as much. I will do my best to describe what its like but you really need to see it in person.
Feel:
The material is a firm plastic that when applied feels nearly the same as the bare glass. I did not like Zagg because it felt soft and textured like an orange peel. This stuff is 95% the same feel as glass and I waited 20 days before installing it, so I have a good level of comparison.
Look:
Clear as glass. I have not yet tested what effects it has on glare, but there is no noticeable difference indoors. Also it is ready to go 30 seconds after installing. All you need to do is push out the large air bubbles. It doesn't take 1 or 2 days to settle like some other protectors. Other people in this thread reported a rainbow reflection in the sun light when the screen is off.
Installation:
Before I started I ran the shower on hot to fill the bathroom with some steam to settle the dust. There is nothing that will bother me more than a single spec of dust under a screen protector, I will obsess about it to no end. Due to my rough and dry hands I am a dust machine and I have never failed to get at least 1 piece of dust under every screen protector I have installed. This time was no different. I mis-aligned the screen on installation and had to peel it back, when I did 1 spec of dust planted itself. I used a piece of tape they include in the box to peel back the screen, and another piece of tape to pull off the dust and it was clean. I am sooo happy about this point. Other protectors I used with adhesive would grab onto dust and never let go. Since it does not use adhesive so it is easy to put on and peel back off if you made a mistake.
The Bad:
Back button less responsive. It will still work on the first touch every time, but you do need to touch a little harder than before.
Box Includes:
2 screen protectors.
1 Wet wipe
1 Plastic card to push out air
2 pieces of tape(if needed)
1 microfiber cloth(to clean the screen before and after installation)
Sorry for the slightly blurry photos. Taken with another Epic4G and it doesn't like to focus on close ups.
$11 at Amazon
does it make the screen fuzy?
Perfectly clear. I wish I had a better camera to show it.
edit: I just discovered macro mode in the camera settings. I will post more photos soon.
Returned the Sprint speckled ones that was degrading display quality to the local Sprint store and am awaiting delivering of Realook for both Samsung Epic and Panasonic GF1 camera. Realook sounds like the best option and value out right now for the Epic until Steinheil Ultra Oleophobic is made available for comparison.
a holes wouldnt take mine back
+1 for Realook! Best screen protector i have used. Same experience as Pops.
I also went to Realook after Skinomi. Love Realook! Slick, smooth feel like the original glass. Relatively easy to apply. No screen degradation. Wonderful, all around.
does no opening for cam hinder it?
Anyone want to trade their spare ReaLook for a pair of PhantomSkinz screens?
I also have the Realook on my phone and it's absolutely great.
But since no one actually pointed out the cons, I'll try to list a few:
- It's not a PERFECT fit so you'll find gaps on all four sides. I'm concerned that dust may eventually get stuck in those gaps.
- I don't exactly remember how the bare screen was now that I have the Realook on, but I think the Realook makes the screen a little more "reflective".
- Under artificial lights (esp. fluorescents), you'll notice the interference patterns like straight rainbows. Hard to explain but people with screen protectors on any phone may have seen them before.
- The capacitive buttons become less responsive meaning that you'll have to push them harder.

Doesn't seem to. It is pretty optically clear. With 640x480, you probably wouldn't notice if there was any difference anyway.

I agree with all of those. I only have a gap on the bottom, though. Left and right seem to be exact.
I see the rainbow effect but it doesn't seem to cause any problem for me. I really don't notice it unless the display is off.
I do have the less responsive buttons, especially the back button. I'm wondering if I could slice off the bottom centimeter of the protector smoothly enough to make it worth trying.
Jason
I like it, but...
It's harder to clean than the Gorilla Glass of the Epic. It also has more friction than the Gorilla Glass. Your fingers won't glide across it as effortlessly. Finally, it has slightly rough edges that you can feel.
I should sell my unused RL screen for 5 bucks or something. Do people typically do that with their unused protectors?
Just ordered mine from amazon after reading this thread, i hope it is as good as you say it is. I have used Zagg a few times before, and Skinomi twice, and BodyGuardz on my nexus one. my favorite was BodyGuardz, but for 10 bucks i think it is worth trying this one. ill give feedback when it gets here in a few days.
If anyone wants another (good) opinion, here's a review from ppcgeeks.
I posted my review on realook a while back on ppcgeeks. Best protector ever IMO. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/sprint-ep...king-screen-protector-tips-4.html#post1942030

i use skinomi very nice and slick
I might give real look another chance but I used one on my touch pro 2 for a few months it looks and feels absolutely great however when i took it off today there was definitely some residue left behind. Swiping on the screen was not as smooth as when i first bought it. I just got my epic today and blew the installation of the clarivue protector. I don't think reallook has no adhesive, I think it has some adhesive so before I give them a try again i am gonna try boxwave and clarivue 1 more time.
the best protector IMO
I agree that the Realook protectors are the best. I installed mine a week ago and i'm really liking it. The look is awesome, the fit is perfect and it doesn't really have much more drag then the naked glass. The one issue is the fingerprints and oil residue. I can tell you that the phone is much more difficult to keep clean with the Realook, but that's not big of a deal. I used to just use my shirt or pants to wipe the phone clean, and now i have to use a microfiber. Even then it takes about two to three times the effort to get the oils off. I would still recommend this product.
I just got my real look in today (ordered thursday night) and i have a 10% off coupon code if anyone plans on getting one via amazon before the 30th.. pm me if anyone wants the code...
ordered from same link the OP posted $11 shipped so coupon will drop a buck off.. nothing much but I figured id throw it up here
UPDATE:the coupon is spoken for.
Ok i need to first say Pops_G you rock for informing me about this screen protector, and your method with the shower was genius, wish i did that when i installed all the other screen protectors in my past. On to my experience...
I just got the Realook Screen protector today, and i previously stated in a prior reply, i have tried zagg invisible shields, BodyGuardz ( OLD FAVORITE ) and Skinomi. The application of the Realook Screen protector was hands down, the Easiest ever, i didn't think it could go that fast. And in terms of how it looks and feels, I could not believe my eyes. You seriously cannot tell when looking at the screen that there is a protector on there. Zagg, Bodyguardz, Skinomi all have, in some regard, no matter how small, a orange peel effect, where there are small ripples in the screen from the water that is used in the installation process, they go away in time, but it is slightly noticeable. They also feel rubbery and take away from the graceful movements of the screen. Plus you have to turn off the phone, pull batter, use a water/soap spray mixture, worry about air bubbles, let it dry 24 to 48 hours, and wake a week plus for the solvent to evaporate. I had this Realook applied in 5 minutes, it would of been less, but i was super anal about making sure not a spec of dust was on the screen. lol.
Now this is just my first impression, after a hour or so of use. It is plastic which makes it feel very much like the original screen, although im sure that will allow the screen protector to scratch, unlike zagg, bodyguardz, and skinomis rubber film where they wont, unless you really try. And also it does show the finger oils more than the actual glass does. I am ok with this becasue that is the purpose of the protector, to get scratched and not the actual screen, Plus i have a backup because 2 came in the pack. GREAT DEAL. Second, i only see this screen protector working for phones that have a completely flat screen and have some sort of small lip around the phone. For Example: I dont think it would work best on a palm pre, which has no lip, and then it could be more easily peeled off down the line. But for the Epic 4g... Seriously im in love.
Thanks again Pops_G

Just got mine installed... i aligned the top edge first and the fit is a bit too short but I'm happy. No bubbles! Silky smooth!
These are great, clear and feels like glass. However, beware of fingerprints.
I got mine today - it is definitly top quality, but I couldn't get it on without dust. I even followed the tips ! There are only a couple specs, it still looks good.

The bubbles left by the ust went away after the first day, it looks and feels amazing. I'm sold on realook.

The realook feels simply amazing. I can barely tell there is a screen protector on it. Also, use the tape the comes with the protector to remove dust from your screen or screen protector. This is much better than zagg or the tmobile protector. Now I just need to see if it'll hold up to scratches >
I've had Realook on my Vibrant since it came out... It's awesome. Perfectly clear, can't even tell it's there! I hold up to scratches pretty well. Needless to say, I have it on my G2 as well!
I got my realook last night. Installation is easy, and its amazing! You honestly can't tell that anything is on there. Its just as slick (if not slicker) than glass and very easy to swipe on. The finger prints are slightly better than glass and the protector looks thick enough for adequite protection. This protector does not change your screen quality AT ALL!

installed mine last night. ive had phantom skinz on previous non-touch screen phones and they are alright but there is no way i'd use one on a touch device. they are so not slick. this realook is great. no orange peel, super slick surface and just fantastic all around. install is relatively easy if you take your time. seems that due to mfg tolerances, its not an exact super precise fit so my first attempt was looking good till the very end and it was just crooked enough to get caught past the edge of the glass at the top and wouldnt sit flat. second attempt was better. still much easier install that the wet application skins.
I installed mine about a week ago, absolutely love it! Yes, there are fingerprints, but a quick wipe and they're off. It looks as if nothing is on it! Installation was easy, no bubbles and a perfect fit. I would highly recommend it!
I tried it on my device.
Installation was terrible... just like with any other screen protector I've ever used. At the end, I had to resort to the tedious "cover everything with scotch, remove scotch, apply screen protector, pray" method. There's an annoying bubble near the middle of the screen which refused to move, so I kept trying to fix it with the provided assist stick. This resulted in a very noticeable scratch (!) smack dab in the middle of the screen.
Also while the optical properties of the protector are nearly perfect, it didn't feel like glass to me. Also, the protector is too short vertically.
Long story short, I removed it... disappointing.
It's good to hear that Realook has a screen protector for the T-Mobile G2 too. I had one on my Vibrant since July and until today it's still in perfect condition. No scratches and no bubbles after all this time.
I originally had a problem with my screen protector but their customer service rep named Young sent one to me ASAP. Well, just ordered a screen protector from Amazon. I hope to get it soon.
Has anyone used these Clairvue Screen Protectors for the G2? If so, how are they and did you get the ultra-clear or anti-glare?
I have the ultra-clear one and it is so clear I can't tell it's there. It's easy to apply, Looks great, and feels almost exactly like the glass underneath it. You can't even tell it's there. I highly recommend them.

Ordered mine since I loved them on my Nexus One. I got the UltraClear as well!
I think I'm gonna order the privacy finish one.
I've been looking for a decent quality static cling screen protector. This one sounds pretty good. Does anyone have the Anti-Glare one? How does it look? Does it darken the screen much? Does it keep finger prints off?

I believe all anti-glare films, regardless of the brand, will do that and also decrease the clarity of the screen. It's just how they work.
I bought Clarivue ultra clear the same time i ordered my otterbox, the otterbox screen protector was really good. But the Clarivue protector is amazing, install was not hard at all. I did an amazing job installing it no bubbles or lint at all. I showed the phone to my friend and he couldn't believe that i had a screen protector on. The cut is perfect covers the whole screen. When you install it make sure you put some tape on the edges, it will be easier to align the protector. i took pics of the phone with the screen protector on, i was just trying to show that no lint is present.
These protectors are awesome. No one could tell that I even have a screen protector on! They fit extremely well and feel exactly like the glass, unlike zagg or similar which gives you a rubbery feel and creates more friction than anything else (annoying as hell if you use swype). Highly recommend!
Been using them for years, love them, thats all I buy for my devices, thats the first thing I do when I get a new device is get the Clarivue screen protector.
Just ordered the Ultra Clear screen protector.
Free world wide shipping!
just orderd one to my mobile to, its so easy to put on in the video i saw. thx for the coupon 2
i recived mine today. its pretty good but the ****ing problem that annoys me is that its not exactly cut!! it doesnt cover the whole screen... is urs perfect fit or should i contact them?
i have the clarivue anti-glare and its decent but this is probably the second anti-glare ive ever bought for a phone so i don't have much experience with them. compared to the first one i bought from tmobile its definitely an upgrade... fingerprints are visible after a while and the screen is diminished a bit but overall i do like it. the cut isn't perfect as it doesn't cover certain areas completely but i mean its like a millimeter off.

I had to take off the ultra clear screen protector, because it got scratched up. Could not stand all the scratches. I installed the second one, but its not a perfect fit like the first clarivue protector. Im not sure why the second was was not a perfect fit, but i will leave it on.
Does anyone have a new coupon code?
the protect331 expired...
Alright I got the new code, just ordered the Anti-Glare screen protector.
I'm pretty satisfied with the ultra clear protector, so now i'm trying these out.
Dratz, I should have checked this forum before I bought mine, haha.
I grabbed http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220676439684 for $3.99
I'll let you guys know if its any good.
I,was waiting for HTC Desire Z screen protectors to hit the market because I can't order anything...
after 3 months of use my screen protector started to loose (mostly because of the dust i got between the display glass and the protector when i mounted it)
i have dropped keys and a heavy metallic cigarette lighter on my phone while i had my screen protector on and i noticed when removed it today that my screen looked as it did when my phone were brand new
Mounted the new protector today (since i got 2 when i ordered it) without getting any dust particles under it and it still looks brand new
Too bad the rest of my phone starts to look quite used
So I got the G2 last Thursday and I'm very happy with this phone. I have the T-mobile clear kickstand case but I got to say... the case is a ***** to take off. I like clear too because its the closest thing to showing off the phone's sexiness lol. So back to the case... I don't like taking it off every time dust/dirt/lint/etc. gets between the case and the phone.
The alternative? Well thats simple. Getting a full body skin protector for the G2 is the perfect answer. My question is though, is what brand?
Theres:
Zagg
Skinomi
and the Body Glove (EZ ARMOR)
I don't know which brand to order from. I hear Zagg's screen part is over-sized my i dont know, 1, 2, 3 centimeter? Have not seen any reviews of them and neither goes to body glove.
Any suggestion to another brand? or advice/thoughts...?
i literally posted this in a thread about a minute ago, so just going to copy and paste
ok so i've had the skinomi full body on my phone for about two weeks now. and most of the edges on the back have started to peel, and some on the protector near the track pad. i will probably end up ripping off the back protector. the screen protector has some dents in the protector, but they have been there since i put it on. and they are starting to annoy me. so the whole thing might end up coming off.
but as far as the feel of the screen protector, it feels very good, like glass.
i've also owned bodyguardz, very good, but like zagg, thick and the responsiveness of the screen seems to go down. after having zagg on my iphone 4, i will never buy zagg again, i just think its a crap product, but thats my opinion

Okay well I really have no problems with zagg products. I have like 2 extra max protection sets, bought them during the cyber monday deal for 50% off.
And regarding the screen size of the zagg shield, they have been perfect so far, so I have no complains. The good thing about the zagg shields is that they don't scratch like some of the other options might.
I would seriously recommend the zagg's as they are top notch, and LOL I haven't noticed any issues with screen responsiveness and it's a great way to keep that stock G2 look while having your phone completely protected
Just put on my zagg tonight and i can honestly say its perfect. i have used nothing but zagg for all of my phones and it never had any problems. I all fairness though, there are certain edges that will start to show wear eventually. i just cut off that part or re-glue the edge once more. Its great and fits perfect. 5 out of 5
Will the ZAGG full-body screen protectors go over a SkinIt skin well? I want the extra protections but still want my TRON themed G2 lol.
I have been a long time user of the $10 3 pack of plastic film protectors you can get on amazon, they work fine however after a few months they get scratched, hold tons of fingerprints and need to be replaced. What I'm wondering is would a tempered glass screen protector necessarily have any better fingerprint resistance or scratch resistance vs the plastic or is the only real advantage the fact the the tempered glass will shatter if dropped and not your phones screen. I'm considering the zagg glass only because of the free replacement. I previously used their invisible shield on a nexus 7 and was not impressed at all but am willing to give them another try only because of the free replacement.
I've tried many plastic screen protectors and I used to have the same issue after a while they would track tons of fingerprints and wear down. I tried out the iLoome 8H Hardness Premium Screen Protector with Oleophobic Coating for the LG G2 and LG G3 and it's amazing. I feel like it helps against the fingerprints and scratches.
I was previously a hater of screen protectors (because of the plastic ones) until I realized how anal I could be over micro scratches on my actual screen. Once I noticed one, I bought a glass screen protector for the first time. Was the Caribu on Amazon. I failed to apply it correctly because it was a first time thing but I still loved the feel, thought it was great & left it on for a couple weeks. I ordered the Bepak tempered glass on eBay which ships from China. Lined it up perfect first try and the adhesive slowly migrated across my screen leaving no bubbles. It's smoother and resist fingerprints better than the naked glass. No scratches yet.
In short, tempered glass screen protectors are the only reason I can even say I like screen protectors.

I love my zagg glass. I too had issues with scratches on the others.
Fortunately I have not had this one break. My buddy has broken 3 and received replacements no issues

I always used the lesser destructible protectors from zagg skins or clearcoat etc. With this device I decided I try out the zagg tempered glass and I don't think I would ever go back to any other screen protector. They give you added protection and are super clear! Definitely worth the extra investment
No matter what, I can never stay away from android for long.
Stay away from the Bodyguardz tempered glass screen protector. It has sensitivity issues. Hopefully AT&T takes mine back when the new one I ordered from Spigen gets here.
I have the XtremeGuard Spartan Tempered Glass screen protector. It feels like glass, it seems to be just as sensitive, and it's not cloudy like some matte screen protectors are. There are only 2 things wrong with it: the top-right corner refuses to adhere, and it normally costs $50. I got it during a 90% off sale so it cost me $5 (totally worth it), but there's no way I would ever spend more than $10 on this thing. $5 was about right.

My local at&t wouldn't take mine back
Thankfully the sensitivity issue has gotten better with use. But it still messes up from time to time. I did get it 50% off, as well as my otter box case, so I guess I can't complain too much.
Side note: I'm not sure if I'm the only one that does this but I get the otter box defender and I actually pop out their "screen protector" and use a glass screen protector with it. Looks nice and feels protected
Sent from my LG-D850 using XDA Free mobile app
You are not the only one. I popped mine out too. Did the same on my S3.
I has the screen sensitivity issue when I first put the zagg on. I haven't noticed it lately however. Could be that I've just completely forgotten about it or it genuinely could have gotten better.
No matter what, I can never stay away from android for long.
Wanted to chime in that I am also having issues with the Bodyguardz tempered screen protector. Traded a s5 for the g3 (So happy I did) and I've noticed things will get selected when I'm trying to scroll. Then other times I have to select something multiple times to get it to work. Driving me nuts.
Zagg Tempered Glass
Figured I'd add my 2 cents I've had my Zagg glass on about a month and it has been absolutely flawless.. and like the video shows.. that sumbitch will not scratch. Its got those hard plastic covers beat by a mile. I'd swear by it.. Once you put on a Zagg glass protector.. you'll kick yourself for ever having messed with others.
Sensitivity : 10
Clarity : 10
Ease of application : 10
and its lifetime gauranteed ... will be on every phone I ever use from the g3 on out :good:
I bought ZeroLemon Tempered Glass and love it. Simple to install and feels great. Never going back plastic screen covers. For 8.99 plus .69 cents for S/H cant beat it.
Wanted to update, I went to best buy and bought the zagg glass one and it's great. Way better then the bodyguardz. No finicky screen issues and not as thick so cases fit just fine. I have to agree with dlbcell.
Zagg Glass +1
Just thought I would chime in and say the Zagg Glass is amazing and I would rec it to anyone. Just as a plus, show this at any bestbuy and you can get it for 22 bucks. Now that is worth it 100%. Would have gladly paid 40 bucks for it if I hadent found this.

Thanks for the link. I had cracked the glass screen protector I had on my G3 and I have been in the market for a Zagg one due to their lifetime guarantee. Can't pass up that price!
Got my G3 at best buy today. Ordered a Zagg glass screen protector from Amazon after hearing all off the good things.

I had the same issue with Bodyguards. At intermittent times parts of the touchscreen failed to respond to touch. Going to make a complaint and see if I can get my money back or at least a credit on my bill. I have since put on a Zagg Glass and have not noticed the issue...and it actually feels better for swyping.
I swear by Realook protectors. Sure, they're plastic, but they are the best fitting and best feeling I have found. Crystal clear and no orange peel or rubbery drag. I tried the Ziess glass cover on my g2 and could never get over the combination of the extra thickness at the edges and that cases either lifted it or eventually just plan broke it.
You have fingers, you will put prints on anything.
I'll never buy another plastic screen protector. Glass is the way to go..
Its like Cassette tapes vs CD's there's no contest...
I get mine of Amazon and pay between 5 and 10 dollars ..
