Hi
I have a Mediapad M5 LTE CMR-AL09 C432, I am very satisfied, I just have a small problem that bothers me a lot
I have the automatic screen brightness turned off and I have it set to 70%, as soon as I open Chrome the brightness will decrease by 10-15%
just after opening Chrome, the screen dims
it bothers me a lot, it's quite frustrating when I want to read something and I can't see it on the screen
I don't know how to open the bootloader, as I need the code from the manufacturer to do this, but he doesn't give it away anymore
can you help me please i would like to make root but i don't know how to open bootloader

Hello,
i have a Samsung Omnia7 without Branding, Nodo, and no locked.
When I set the brightness setting to middle or high (not automatic) then is the brightness good.
When i open the ie then the brightness is a little bit darker. Now i go in Landscape mode and the brightness is minimum.
I have the Firmware XEN1 from November 2010.
I hope you can help me to change this problem.

As far as I know this is hard-coded in the Samsung-driver. Though it should weaken only a little bit. This is to protect battery-life. The super-amoled display is already very bright.
But from high to low with one application. When i sit outside and surf with the IE then I turn in Landscape an the I see nothing because sunlight. Is that on every Samsung Phone or on Special Rom´s
Sorry for my bad english.
Yesterday i noticed something strange in my OP7p and i'd like you to check whether something like this occurs in your phones. Issue, which i will describe occurs only when i have 90hz refresh rate set and the low brightness of the screen with the auto adjustment of brightness turned off. The easiest way to see that is on youtube application with a dark theme. When we start a movie on the full screen (horizontally) and watch it for a few seconds, then go back to the vertical position, there is something like weak but visible blink of the screen, or a minimal colours change. It can be noticed in other apps, e.g. on facebook. Seems to me this is a software problem, beacause the same phenomenon doesn't exists when we set 60hz refresh. I would be very grateful if you can check it on your phones and give me a know about it.
I don't usually start videos in full screen mode and never noticed it but yeah definitely does a white flicker.
This is the highest brightness I could get it to do the flicker at.
Thank you for an answer. Personally i am able to see this flicker on a little bit higher screen brightness, but maybe its because im sitting in a dark room now. I was worried cause sometimes i see it during the normal usage of phone, and if only my OnePlus would be affected by this flickering i could still return it or exchange for a new one. It isnt very disturbing however interesting is whats cause of it.

this is usual for EVERY Oled screen and is called jelly effect...
You might want to try the DC dimming option in Settings->Utilities->OnePlus Laboratory.

From what i know jelly effect appears while we scrolling some content and propably that's not what i meant in my first post. Also flicker in my case is only visible on 90hz refresh rate.
I have galaxy s7e as a second phone and that effect doesn't happen there.

Hi!
I have new P30 phone with latest EMUI 10.1 and the AOD feature enabled. I'm worried about the potential burn out effect after using AOD for long time because it always shows the information in the same position of the screen (top third of the screen).
Searching for information about this possible burn out effect I found people saying that the P40 moves the AOD randomly around the screen. But I can't find anything about this for P30.
Can someone please tell me if is it possible to randomize the position of the AOD for the P30?
I find the same problem, but i turn off and turn on the aod, and solved the problem.
hi guys,im having the same issue..stuck at one place..not random..try to turn off and on..still same
Appears to be an issue with the Always on Display. Disabling that should resolve the issue.
See detail below;
Frozen screen - Android Auto Community
by the way feel free to spam their support email as this issue has been going on too long!
[email protected]
Solution : enable developer options, and enable keep screen on while charging.
yup screen on = no Always on display..
though also battery and burn in aint good...
Screen will remain on, but brightness will drop to minimum level as the phone is left idle. When looking at the phone while driving, it looks almost off, the home screen is barely visible.
would be great if someone could build a tasker or Automate task that turned off AOD when AA is running.. though you prob need Root..
Anyone having a issue after C62 update of it just now not connecting at all?
jipp here.
android auto refuses the connection after the update.
My head unit is trying to connect while oppo is asking which usb type should be choosen (load/ android auto/mtp or so)
Selecting android auto results in a connection abort and a short vibration.
Already cleared app data, cache and even reinstalled android auto with no effort.
wow oppo really sucks..
just got CPH2025_11_C.53 - android auto is working flawless again

Hi guys,
I have a Find X2 Lite with CPH2005VF_11_C_78..
after the android 11 update android auto start to freeze switching apps (ex from maps to spotify a 15 seconds black sceen) or when navigating has to turn direction (the cursor start flickering and after a while the navigation resume).
Is this a similar problem to yours? any suggestion?
my oppo f1s always turn off even after restart, how to fix my boss?
Images on the lock screen, crash the Android Auto. It is an OS problem. Here is what to do, till the problem is solved :
-Go to Settings, Security, Smart Lock and and your car a trusted device. That way you have your phone unlocked while driving and fingerprint disappears.
(You can also remove fingerprint from lock screen by going to Settings, Passwords & Biometrics, Fingerprint, Screen-off unlock and select off, but then you have to wake up your phone before being able to use fingerprint)
-Go to Settings, ..Always-On Display, Always-On Display and disable it. (You can also select Always-On Display with battery saver, which turns off image after some seconds, but on those seconds, the Andriod Auto is crashed)
@[email protected]$#[email protected]& OnePlus, OPPO and Color OS...
Same thing at OnePlus 8T with OxygenOS 12 (which is ColorOS 12).
After update to 12 I still have some problems with AA. Now phone is totally unusable (totally laggy or black screen) when connected to AA and after when disconnected - must wait ca. 5 min or restart phone.
But... After reading this tread I turn off AOD. And stil same. Then I turn off also fingerprint reader at turned off display. And... Everything works perfectly
Will test AOD on, FP on and Smart Lock at my car. But OPPO is a joke...
So, I've only had this phone for a few days but I've noticed something quite strange about it's adaptive brightness feature. Sometimes when turning the brightness up the phone will seem to "jump up" in brightness instead of smoothly moving up to what it wants to be at. This happens usually at the end but sometimes in the middle of the automatic adjustment. I'm not too keen on owning a lot of phones, so has anyone else experienced this issue? Not just on this phone, but on any? I need to know within my return window if it's a hardware fault or not, but I don't want to go through the hassle or the risk if I don't need to.
The "jump" In brightness doesn't happen unless it's automatically adapting the brightness.
