Oneplus 8 worth upgrading? - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

I currently have the 7 Pro, and I'm considering upgrading. Is it worth it to upgrade to the 8? I'm with T-mobile, so they don't offer the 8 Pro.
Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk

I thought about it, but I really didn't see the 8 as a big upgrade. If they had the 8 pro I would have. I'm so happy with my 7pro I'll wait to see what comes out next.

Nexus 10 to Surface feedback?

The Surface has been out for a while now, and I am just curious if there are any Android (Nexus 10) Users who bought the Windows Surface are still happy with their purchase. Was it a good choice?
There was a member who did a nice review coming from a 10 to the surface, but that was like 6 months ago. Anyone want to share some feed back now that they have had it for a while?
Thanks
cdrshm
Well sort of I've had a nexus 7 and two HTC flyers one was rooted. Now my daughter has rt and I have the Pro my wife runs the Lenovo yoga and we are all very satisfied.
Best thing I can say is I used to have a home Pc, a flyer, and a Toshiba laptop. Now I've been able to get rid of all those with one device. No complaints.

Depends what you are using them for. I still use an Asus Transformer Infinity 10 incher and a MS Surface Pro. For mobility the Asus wins hands down but for office based tasks and better gaming the Pro wins.
I had an RT but sold it after 2 months.

I hated the resolution compared to the Asus (backwards step) and I hated the RT desktop implementation - basically next to useless.
The Pro is a proper netbook/tablet. The only downside over the RT is battery life. But I can live with that

I don't mode the RT desktop, I just want a tablet that handles web browsing like a desktop/laptop...

Then the RT is not for you. Go for the pro if you require fully compatible java etc.
Want to use anything but Internet Explorer? - you can't. RT forces you to use IE. There is no chrome, no firefox, etc. On the pro you can choose to use any of the above....

buy before 09/30

Hi! I have to buy a tab 10" before the end of this month or at least the the fist week of october (to watch movie, mail, social network and NOT playing games or calling).
Nexus 10 is my choose.
Do you think the new version will be on the market before that date?
do you have suggestion? :fingers-crossed:
Thank you!

Yep, i don't think second edition of nexus 10 can be that good. On the other hand, note 10.1 can be expensive at first.

Well if it's made by Asus I'll definitely pass... The first note was $500 for the 16gb and $550 for the 32gb but they take microsd also so it's a pretty good deal. But the new nexus 10 most likely will be a little cheaper

I don't see what all the note love is about... I never found any of those added bloat features useful and the nexus 10 is $100 cheaper.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk 4
I had both nexus 10 and note 10.1 and they both were great devices... There's a few features the note had that people on the nexus and other devices were asking for like the multitasking. So some of that added bloat is useful features

[Q] Buy Nexus 5 or wait for 6?

I am planning to buy a new android phone and shortlisted Nexus 5 and Xperia ZR. I think Nexus 5 would be a better choice because of its large development support but question in my mind is "Is it worth waiting for Nexus 6?". There is no fixed date for Nexus 6 but hopefully it will be announced in Q4 of this year. Please suggest, should i buy nexus 5 or wait for nexus 6? Is it worth waiting for?
From my research cons of nexus 5 that i don't want to get with are: Battery life and Camera. And both of these might get upgraded in Nexus 6.
Thanks in advance.
We don't even know if there will be a 6. The rumour mill says not. Its an impossible question

Google confirmed that the nexus program isn't going anywhere. There probably will be a successor to the nexus 5,it would only make sense since android L supports 64 bit, maybe even put more than 3gb. Who knows, it's all speculation

Afaik google only confirmed the nexus tablet range. But as we both said it's all speculation so it would be ridiculous to try and base any purchasing decision on an unknown future.

Should i go for nexus 5 then? The thing that is making me worried about nexus is its battery, is there any way i can fix it?
Or i should go for something else?
The battery is fine. Go for what you want. Read reviews. Its pretty old now. Only 9 months left of updates.

Me and many have no battery issues. The Nexus5 is still rocken and a lot of fun on XDA!

Mate 9 vs P10 PLUS

Hi guys how does the mate 9 compare to the P10 PLUS? Which is a better buy and why?
I guess go with either one that is cheaper in your region, specs are almost the same, though I prefer how mate 9 looks...
The P10 Plus has a 5.5" display, the Mate 9 has 5.9". Everything else is practically the same (Kirin 960, Mali G71, etc) so the Mate 9 screen alone wins it for me.

P10+ has 6gb of Ram (which I find unnecessary), Mate 9 has much better battery (plus it doesn't have that physical home button, which is a plus in my book)

The Mate 9 also comes with an option for 6GB of RAM, which is quite nice and future-proof. Especially if it's LPDDR4
That's mate 9 pro. Has 5.5" screen

Mine is 128/6Gb version. Mate 9, not Pro. 5.9" screen.

No... there's a 4 GB and 6 GB version of the Mate 9.

Wow. Didn't know that. At least in my market, there isn't. Go for 128gb/6gb mate without hesitation.

The P10 doesn't have Dual-Sim . Thats why I have bought the Mate 9 in the first place.

I believe the 128gb/6gb is only with Chinese firmware?

I know, but not in my country and the neighbours, sadly. Otherwise I would have had a P9 Plus already.

It is Chinese model, but you can flash international firmware.
I've had my Mate 9 with 6GB/128GB for a few months now
One of the best phones I've ever used.
I do wish the camera was slightly better, but I think the P10/Plus is like the 4.7" iPhone 7. It's for people who want the easy slip in pants. It's for the sophisticated, per say
It might have the newer EMUI, it might have a slightly better camera. It's not here in the states to check out, but you have essentially the same hardware. If you can "tolerate" the larger mate 9 go for it. I love bigger screens and bigger batteries.

UK Release date

Anyone have any idea when this is to be released in the UK? And which networks might have it?
Pro is not being officially released in UK from what I read of the announcement.
