Lineage OS (custom build) - Sony Xperia 5 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I am currently using on my mobile: treble experimentations (AOSP 10.0 v222 - vanilla)
github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/releases
it works very well, but I want to try using Lineage OS
Has anyone tried to build a Lineage OS on the Sony Xperia 5? (Not officially supported)

Why don't you just install the GSI and see what works? Andyyan's repo has the current version ready for use. Does the camera work wth AOSP?

How to set up Work Profile on LineageOS 17.1

Hi.
Do you guys have any idea for setting up work profile that separates work apps, contacts and ... from personal profile, like Samsung's One UI does on LineageOS ROMs?
It seems it is missing on any version of LineageOS.
Thanks.
I think it is possible on AOSP Android 10.

hey guy,
for m7 (I also own one) it's an oldie device who might run with LOS 14 maximum, as I have several devices from 2012/2015 year ranges, believe me it's running very slow with 2015>android versions. I failed to run PMOS on it, LOS 14 runs very well, Im testing since an hour DivestOS if you want to compete me in tha way lol!
good luck
hello, thanks for yr input. My M7 with LOS18.1 and a gapps nano works fiine and is not slow. Of course it is an old phone with dito hardware and not too much memory, but it works still so well that it would be a pity that upgrading to the next android (12 or13 when that is ready) would not be made anymore.. Also I think of the security patches.

If you are a googlfree user, you don't need gapps.
If you are needing gapps you are wrong with LeOS. Then you should use the standard LOS19.1 rom. There you can install all these spying apps like gapps

Does this rom inherit the bugs of LOS 19.1 unofficial, or is this Source built?
Im interested in this rom, as a user of Calyxos with microG
Although I cant relock the bootloader, i guess this is somewhat better compare to vanilla LOS.
Thanks.

LeOS-19.1 is based on LOS29.1
LeOS-S isbased on latest AOSP sources
no additional bug removal.
Relock a bootloader is not recommend. In most cases you will loose all your data. Relock bootloader is, as far as,I know only eorking on some pixel devices and Fairphone

GSI rom oreo

Hi all.can i flash GSI rom of lineage os oreo on my a51?
A GSI is not a ROM and does not include a kernel; it's meant to be used with the original kernel. The Galaxy A51 launched with Android 11, so you should only be using Android 11 GSIs or above. This means LineageOS 18.1+.
I'm pretty sure Android 8 doesn't support GSIs - only 9.0 and above.
@AndyYan has been building LineageOS GSIs for quite some time; here is the 18.1 thread
If you need instructions for installing a GSI, you can try this guide; you would simply substitute the LineageOS GSI for the AOSP one.

As long as you're using arm64, it shouldn't matter
