Official Samsung radio - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Themes, Apps, and Mods

I have for a long time been looking for a way to install the Official sumsang radio app. With no success. Has this been done successfully?
How can I install the official sumsang radio app on the Samsung Galaxy S10 plus.
The hardware is there, I know this because next radio works. But the stock app is more powerful in a lot of respects and it would be great to have it back.
Snapdragon US version Galaxy S10 plus.
Does anybody have a solution?...not a third party app.

It doesn't install for me, and I presume it won't for the op either. I'm using an SM-G9860.

Failed to install
The official apk doesn't install, hence my asking here

Hey.
Go to Playstore and search for NextRadio.
Works normally without data or internet, although you'll need to plug the headphone for antenna.

I already have next radio, that's not the point. The point is getting the stock app to work

S10 SMG 9750 Samsung radio 10.1.00.42 works perfect for me.

IIRC newer Samsung phones lack the radio hardware.

Sky Go on the Note

Has anyone managed to watch Sky Go on the Note using the latest app?
Nope.
At present it does not work on the Note, nor does it work on ICS which we should be getting soon, and apparently it will NEVER work on rooted devices.
Devs, please fix this useless app for us.
This is absolutely stupid from sky. Why cant this work on Sky note , when it can work on Galaxy and Galaxy S2 phones. Both have same operating system. I hope some dev will be able to fix this.
Regards
Vj
It works on jailbroken iphones and ipads, so why can't this work on a rooted android device. Arghhh

Give it time I'm sure the apk will work when released to a dev.
I remember they said the same about bbc iplayer and Itv player but both work just fine on my note.

It's already been cracked and working on the Nexus, but no love for the Note yet as far as I know. I am reading through the main thread now, if anyone gets hold of a working apk for a rooted Note, please link to it in here!

I don't know for Sky UK, but in Italy we prefer to read the subscription with a Linux based decoder called Dreambox.
You can buy it original or chinese clone (starting from £ 60.00...)
Way better features, streaming of ALL the Bouquets and ALL the channels (no Sky Go bunch of selected channels...).
In my case I use DreamDroid + VPlayer when in LAN and AndroidDreamer when outside under 3G Network!
Use RootKeeper, it disables(but backs up) root access, tested on my SGSII rooted using this method, and i'm able to play Sky Go.
Also hope this is adapted for Note use. why they have only developed it for so few devices is pointless.

I can confirm that Voodoo OTA RootKeeper does hide the root, I've tested this on my Note.
Does Sky Go work on the Galaxy Note though which is not one of the listed working devices?
Woo Hoo! Just downloaded from here and it works on my Galaxy Note!

Can confirm this works on my note with rootkeeper running.. unfortunately i cant log in though as i already have 2 devices connected to the account. Any idea on how i can get rid of one? Also i made up a new account but you only get the news with it as you dont have the relevant subscription.
Edit.. Just logged in to sky go on pc and removed one of two xboxes and now logged in on phone.. all channels im subscribed to are working

Samsung Exhibit II 4G / T679 Official ROM

Hello all!
Seems a basic question and I did a search around, but didn't find a exact answer.
I have a Samsung Exhibit II 4G/T679 which came with carrier's ROM. So lots of undesired applications and some blocks (tethering, for example).
Instead of going to a modified ROM (which can be an alternative, of course), I'm wondering if there is available anywhere the official ROM release by Samsung for this model. Since there is the unlocked model from Samsung, I assume there is a official ROM from them (carrier independent).
Does anybody know where to download this official ROM?
Thanks!
If I am not mistaken, no. But we have some great Roms for this phone check them out. Trust me you don't want stock.

Thanks for your answer!
I wanted the stock mainly because some applications that I use explicitly say they don't run on "rooted or moded roms". So installing one of those customs roms would prevent me from using those applications. Maybe installing the stock one released by Samsung (on unlocked phones) the application would accept that.
Any idea or suggestion?
Seems obvious, but link was not so easy to find...
Here is the stock ROM for this model (attention: not carrier shipped, but manufactured shipped, rooted):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Exhibit_II_4G#Flash_Back_to_Stock
In my case it's still not the right solution since I have a carrier-shipped ROM and I would need to have this ROM back if they need to provide any service.

What applications are you trying to keep on stock ROM that you're convinced won't work on a custom ROM

Because my phone has the carrier-custom ROM, not the clean manufacture one.
So if I have to send the phone back to carrier, they will notice the ROM was changed. This one I couldn't find...
I'm thinking about using CWM Recovery to backup the ROM. But... then the CWM will replace original Recovery System, so it's a signal that ROM was changed too...

It's my office app. Somehow they have explicit lock on custom or rooted phones (maybe for security). I already tried to install on another moded phone and it doesn't work. Only with factory or recognized ROMS.
I don't know how they identify that... but it happens!
I have an ODIN Stock ROM for the SE2, when thats flashed it takes away root and completly restores the phone to out of the box state.
want it?
The carrier is Tmobile.

No I didnt.
Iv had it in my downloads folder foreverr and I use it alot for when I soft brick and need to use a jig.
Since the jig puts my phone into download/ODIN mode, Iv always saved that folder cause it is ODIN friendly.
Why don't you just flash to what ever you wont and not worry about it and then if you were to have to ship it back to to t-mobile just use the directions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Exhibit_II_4G and flash back to stock. Because I am sure that is what he is uploading.

Why, oh why, can people not search? This has been asked many times before.
Yes it is possible but it may not work properly as even the same phone model can have different components and there can be other factors that tie some parts of the software to an exact phone.
SINGAPOREAN said:
Hi,
I don't understand why would the SAME phone model not be able to use the SAME ROM?
If there were to be different components, then it would not be the same model, would it?
ie. our recent Samsung Galaxy Note II. There is the LTE and non LTE variations, thus they are two different models. ie. LTE ones are N7105 and non-LTE ones are N7100

Prime example being the HTC Desire S. During production the panel changed from Hitachi to Sony which causes problems with a lot of the newer kernels. During any production run components are changed based on price and availability. Standard manufacturing principles.
Why do I lose backups every time I flash a new ROM?

[Q] Anyone using S Health ver 3.5 on note 3?

I got a gear fit and would like to sync the heart beat measurements with S Health.
I'm using the S5 S Health (ver 3.2.0.0014), but it's didnt have the heart beat funcion.
Does anyone succeed installing the 3.5 version of S Health? If yes, then does it contain this menu?

I believe that all S5 ported roms have shealth 3.5, if I remember correctly
Thanks for the update.
I don't want to use any ported rom. The latest official is good for me. I only want to update the S Health app.
(btw, if i'm correct, than the 3.5 is from the note 4 rom)

that is correct S5 and note 4 both have v3.5.
I'm also trying to get s health 3.5 from aptiode to work. I can get past the agreement and backup page but after that the app hangs with a black screen, is it because I'm using the stock rooted 4.4.2 bell Canada ROM. Does this require something in 4.4.4 to run?

I have the same problem - ROM 4.4.3, Note 3
One time the phone freezes and other time I receive meesage it cannot restore my data (even If I cleared all the data from previous S-H version).
Please share if you find the solution

Canadian Firmware Flash?

I have an international unlocked version of the S7 and was wondering if I could flash the 930W8 Canadian firmware to this phone?
Unless there's a better answer out there...
As long as you're running the same Exynos processor, it's usually safe to cross-flash variants' /system (AP/PDA) partitions. You will definitely want to avoid flashing the CSC, and unless you're trying to access the Canadian carriers' frequencies avoid flashing the modem (CP) as well.
Make certain that you've got the correct firmware handy just in case of a brick.
I've used G900F roms for years on my old G900W8 (S5, not S7). Just don't cross-pollinate the stuff that touches hardware (i.e. modem).

The reason why is because I had previously gotten an AMERICAN SIM ONLY S7 from Amazon and I don't know what firmware it had on it. I was thinking it might have been 930W8 firmware. I started another thread about it, but short answer is that the AMERICAN SIM ONLY S7 ran a lot smoother than the one I have now. I have the international unlocked 930F now.

The US version uses SD820 whereas Canada uses the Exynos. You will likely soft-brick or even hard brick your device AFAIK.
By the way, the BEST way to get stock firmware pretty much directly from Samsung is using a tool called SamFirm. Google "samfirm xda" and it should be the first link.
