So I got my mittens on a MiStick and its fine, except some of the games don't work, and I think its because the device is detected or functions as a touchscreen device. So, as I understand it, unless a game has controller integration it won't work? Crossy Road is stuck on the age screen at the beginning and no way to input.
If anyone can enlighten me that would be great.....can this be altered so the device functions as a normal Android TV device.
Can’t help you with your problem. Just wanted to say that I’m extremely disappointed with the mi tv stick. Often I can’t boot it up and have to pull the plug, also prime video is buffering very often... my Networkspeed is very good so this is not the problem. Also it freezes sometimes without any reason and losing connection to the remote. I hope they will fix the bugs in further updates.

Agreed that it is a bit laggy......however yesterday I managed to get Stadia working on it, and was playing Doom Eternal with no issues - however the Stadia homepage was not showing all of the content. So far I've had no issues with freezing etc, but we'll have to wait and see. I think Sabrina may be my next port of call.

Try to replace the USB cable. I had the same symptoms, so I replaced the cable. I
Today received a new update with system stability improvements in the changelog.

Hi, I just purchased a new TF700 and have been hoping like crazy, that it does not have any of the issues some people have been running into, again with another top of the line Asus tablet. So far there are no blemishes on the screen or case, the screen fitment seems pretty good and there is no creeking of flexing when pinching or pressing on the screen. The light bleed is not crazy bad. The GPS and wifi work great. It prompted me for an OTA update shortly after turning it on, and streaming video while listening via my S10 bluetooth headset, does not cause network drop. I was just about to proclaim it as near perfect, and then I ran into this. When streaming archive video from an internet network the audio and video don't match. I can pull it up on a Galaxy SII and SIII phone running ICS on the same wifi network and it works fine. But every time I stream any of the videos from there, it is never in sync. And not all video streaming is like this. Youtube from either the app or website are in sync. And so are videos from both the Hulu and Netflix apps. I watch videos from this internet network nearly every day, and have to try to get this figured out. Does anyone have suggestions or information pertaining to this issue? Is it related to this particular processor?
Oh yeah, and it does it when using the internal speaker only too, no headset whatsoever.
Thanks,
I have more interesting details as of today. I work with someone who has an Asus tf300 tablet and I tested it today. When connected to the same wifi network, and streaming the same video from an online network, the sound and video were out of sync again on my tf700, however the tf300 was dead on. Is my only option to just exchange it and hope the next one is better? Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks,
Bluetooth lag has been addressed here before and is likely the root of your issue. Use the search feature to do some investigative work and you'll get to the bottom of it. Here's a good thread to start at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1787662&highlight=blue+tooth
Ok thanks for the response Chief Geek, but in my case it isn't Bluetooth related, because it does it when no headset is attached, right through the factory installed speaker.

Gotcha. I stream a ton of different media from my home server to devices, to my TV via google tvbox, and to browsers outside of my network. The issue you are getting can be adjusted inside some video players by a time delay settings if it is consistant enough. If not, try playing with different file/container type comos and also different players can make a difference. Its a real PITA and happens on all my devices occasionally, even my 8 core laptop.

Yes, unfortunately this happens from within a browser, and I have tried several. I know there are no such adjustments from them. The thing that is annoying is that it happens with the Infinity every time I try it, and other Android phones and tablets seem to work fine. I just tried one of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablets, and it also works good.
I tried Asus support today and they just had me reset the device and see if that would fix it. It didn't. I think the fix for me is going to be to return it and get the Note 10.1.
Hi folks,
Whatever the device connected (hifi, PC, car speaker) in Bluetooth, whatever the application (GPS navigator, Poweramp etc.) It is impossible to listen to music (or voice of the navigator) without facing endless microcuts from My medaipad X2, stock rom.
It connects OK, it play OK for a while (30s or such) then it start to stutter. Impossible to listen to music this way. Playing with the internal speaker, or headphones is OK, so I suppose it is a Bluetooth issue, looking like a FIFO overflow, or lack of speed in the HF connexion.
Any solution ?
Its working fine with me, both in the car or with my Sony SBH2,without any stuttering.
if this problem is happening when the screen goes off, then try to switch to the Performance option in the Settings > Power saving, see if it helps.

Thanks a lot for your care, hagba.
No, the problem occurs mainly when the screen is on. What is strange is, sometimes, it works ok.
And sometimes, it don't suffer any action on the mdiapad. Problem of priority, I think. I will dig-it..

Oh, Lord !
So many decades to fight with M$ (till w98), and, now, everithing as bad with Android in the 21th century ?
I have send an all week to get 90% of the things working as expected on my mediapad ! (screen rotating, double SIm+SD card, etc...) and now, i whould risk to brick my device with complicated procedures with traps everywhere, just to can listen my music in my car ? And redo everithing from scrath ?
The only reason why so many people are rooring their devices etc... is they are not satified with the stock roms... It is a shame.

Don't worry, with the nice work of people like you, i will be able , in few month, to bypass most of the stupidities from manufacturers
By example, tried five minutes the FM radio this afternoon. VERY bad ! and the GUY, I don't believe-it. there is a "favorite" tab, and no way found to put a channel in it
I also had the same problem in the past.
In my case it was a crappy Chinese headset that was not working properly.
Now I use a Sony bt headset and I have no issues anymore.
You could try another bt headset. Preferably a brand name.

Definitively a mediapad issue. It works near ok when wifi is not active in the same time. And my other 2 speakers tested with my PC in UB works fluently.
I have noticed other strange things, but making the misbehaving apps "protected" solved everything. Try it. Some apps misbehave because they are shut down after screen is turned off

I would like. In this case, with the two apps i care about the sound, one (GPS Navigator ) prevent the device to turn off the screen, and the other (Power amp) is so well protected that it don't stop to play music even if you closethe app.
Wondering is anyone else is having this issue. When I play music over Bluetooth it has constant stuttering. I have no issues on my other Bluetooth devices, like headphones or speakers. I did not have this issue on 9.0 and this affects both my OnePlus 6T and 7 pro. Issues on both 10.0.1 and 10.0.2
I'm not the only one!!! I upgraded my OP6t to 10, and on my 2019 Ford Ranger, had all kinds of skipping. I ended up purchasing a OP7t, and it had the same issue. I returned the 7t, and downgraded my 6t back to 9. I was unable to get it to play well with my truck. The REALLY weird thing was that it skipped worse at slow speeds. Once I was at freeway speeds, I had no skipping.
EDIT: I should note, that it seemed to work fine with my wifes Ford Escape, which also uses Sync 3.
Ok... You need a new car....

I was able to kind of fix it by doing a master reset on my car, it stutters but I can get 3 minutes into a song before it happens. It was every 10 seconds before. Not perfect but at least I can live with it now. Hopefully future updates remedy this issue.
I'm on Sync 1 and while I don't have stuttering issues I do have extremely low Bluetooth call volume to the point I have to crank the radio to 100% to have normal call audio.
Use the latest open beta. Fixes all stuttering

I have the exact same problem. It works fine on all other devices, including my Jeep, but skips on my F150 sync 3. If you connect to your sync 3, then turn your bluetooth off on your phone and turn it back on, once it connects to your sync 3 again, it will stop skipping. Of course I have to do this every time I start my truck, so not a lot of phone. 10.0.3 does not address the issue either. I submitted a bug to OnePlus so hopefully they can figure out what it is and fix it.

I created a macro on macrodroid to solve the issue for me anyway. Give it a shot and see how you get on.

I'm decent with MacroDroid, but your macro confuses me, can you tell me what it actually does?
Android 10 has issues still. Until they fix Bluetooth on 10 this ain't gonna go away

Is it just reconnecting (restarting) bluetooth? I already have a macro that starts spotify, then pushes play when connecting to my truck.
Finally got around to re-installing Android 10 and trying out the Macro, seems to work perfectly...now to decide if I want to go buy the 7t McLaren version...decisions decisions...

Kind of disagree, this is not a general Android 10 issue as other devices work fine with the Sync 3 on my Ford Edge.
Both the Oneplus 6 and the 7T Pro have the skipping issue and it is super annoying.
Resetting the Sync app or the phone kind of makes it better for a while but it always returns and gets worse over time (quickly)
As mentioned, other devices do not have this issue, Xiaomi or Samsung work fine. It's definitely a Oneplus/Sync 3 related problem.
Android 10 Open Beta 8, I find since I switched to ElementalX 2.11 kernel my bluetooth performance has improved (Sync3 on 2016 F150)
Macrodroid work around
Tried submitting this response with pictures, but I don't have permissions.
In case anyone is still experiencing this issue, here is what I did to work around the issue:
Step one: Download macrodroid from google play
(You will need to mess with permission a bit to allow md to disable and enable bluetooth.)
The first macro I created is as follows:
Macro name = sync fix
Trigger = Device Connected "Sync"
Actions = Disable Bluetooth, Wait 2 seconds, Enable Bluetooth, Toggle macro "sync fix"
Basically this macro will turn off bluetooth once it connects to "sync" and then renable bluetooth followed by turning itself off, AKA sleep. (otherwise you would get a never ending loop, no bueno)
There might be a better way of sleeping a job but I could not figure out another way. Maybe with variables...but I didn't look to much into that.
Since the first macro disables itself, you need another to turn it back on.
The second macro I created:
Trigger = Bluetooth disabled
Actions = Wait 10 seconds, Enable macro "sync fix"
Once this macro detects that bluetooth has been turned off (triggered from the first macro disabling bluetooth) it will wait 10 seconds and then turn the "sync fix" macro back on.
I could have used a timer, but sometimes we get in our vehicles for a few minutes or a few hours... didn't want to mess with it.
Anyways, this is what I came up with.
Hope it helps at least one person out there contemplating another device..or vehicle! haha
Have a good one!
EDIT:
I found another way:
Trigger: Device connected "sync"
Actions: if macro(s) [This macro] not invoked in the last 10 seconds
disable bluetooth
wait 2 seconds
enable bluetooth
End if
The macros do help a bit, as does turning off WiFi. Nonetheless there will still be the occasional cutting out of audio. Did some testing today and it's definitely an issue with the OnePlus software, in my case with the 7T pro. When using a Xiaomi Mi 9, with Miui or AOSP, there is never even the slightest audio stuttering or cutout.
I just use the android auto plug and set phone in cup holder. Zero issues and truly safest way to use your phone on the car. I mean voice music app navigation, voice activated maps. Reply to text and messenger without any issues. Safest bet truly. As yes sadly the BT issues where driving me crazy

You're right, audio through Android auto seems to work much more reliably. The plugging in and out is a bit of a bummer though and the location of the USB doesn't really help the cable routing in my Ford Edge.
Does anyone know if this issue is only happening with Sync3 / Ford models or is it happening with other cars as well?
Is there any way to do this? the pressing reverse and up trick doesnt work anymore since an update. Which ironically i did to try and stop the buffering which is why i want to lower the resolution in the first place.
The fire stick itself only allows 720p lowest. my tv supports this... its my internet connection that seems to wax and wane on the fire stick despite being right next to the router, possibly due to being in a building right next to another building (aka alot of units sharing likely 1 or 2 main co-ax connections from the provider). sometimes its fine, other times its so scrambled i may as well be looking at the image while swimming underwater without goggles.
Why are they anti-low resolution? amazon prime video also does not support any features to lower the resolution. it does by itself once its already lagging behind, but this is what im trying to avoid! netflix allows this, as does disney plus and likely others. why doesnt amazon? even in player the only thing you can access is actor info or subtitles. nothing at all related to actual playback. settings cog shows nothing about playback either except i think subtitles
This is annoying. anyone know of any fixes or work arounds?
only other idea i have which im not sure it would matter is trying the ethernet hookup for the fire stick, but thats money i dont have right now
My Bluetooth works fine with Pandora haven't had an issue. But the moment I try to play my audio Bible or YouTube TV it does not play through my car speakers. I'm not for sure what the issue is and it's getting really annoying. I have tried to reset the settings. It did nothing. I took the optimizer off it did nothing. Have tried to clear the cache and It is grayed out and won't even let me select it. I really love this phone and it's kind of getting too much with this. Any help would be appreciated.
I have no idea what to suggest - apologies. Hopefully, it's a bugfix that either Google or the app developers will have to implement to work with the Pixel 7 Pro.
It's concerning to see this. I'm coming off of Pixel 2 XL and be getting the 7 pro. The annoying Bluetooth issues this phone suffers or something I hope Google would have remedied over the last 5 years. It sounds like they haven't. My work iPhone will connect first to a device over my pixel 2 XL even if the iPhone is on the other side of the house. There are other various weird connection issues like the one you describe that require me to turn Bluetooth off and on, turn the device off and on, and a bunch of other annoying hassle that doesn't happen with the work iPhone.
Bluetooth so far is much faster to establish connectivity and the connectivity is more stable than the Pixel 6 Pro. I will see if I can test youtube tv tonight for you.
I have the same problem with my Pixel 6Pro with Youtube TV and bluetooth in my car.
Other apps seem to work OK... Spotify , standard Youtube work fine for me.
When using a portable Bluetooth speaker the Youtube TV does work.
I would be very happy to hear about any possible solutions to this issue
thanks
