Instagram lag - OnePlus Nord Questions & Answers

Hi guys,
Instagram lags frequently and sometimes don't even refresh/update. I often get black screens even dough I am on WIFI or 5G network here in The Netherlands. I also changed the refreshfrequency from 90HZ to 60HZ of the screen, but it didn't much of a difference.
Is there a solution?

samsung S7 camera Flickering

Hello,
Since I bought my Samsung S7, i've noticed that the camera is flickering when you are for exemple at home and the light from outside is super strong
It doesn't happen outside or when there is not a strong different luminosity. It seems the camera doesn't like hudge contrast difference.
It also happen more frequently on the slow motion mode of the camera
Is it normal?
On the picture mode, sometimes it's possible to cancel the flickering by boosting the luminosity on the manual mode
Thanks for your help
Hi there. It is happening to several users (don't know whether it happens to everybody). Check on youtube for "S7 flickering" and "Galaxy S7 flikering".
My videos are the ones you can find with Galaxy S7 flickering jordi martínez
Comment if it happens also to you.

Refresh Rate lag

Hi all, wondered if you could shed some light on this situation, I'm not sure if it's my device UK or a software issue. So when I select 120hz some apps are not silky smooth when scrolling like YouTube for example, it's not true 120hz it's as though it's on auto adjust, but it isn't, home screen and some apps are 120hz but some apps aren't is this a app issue or a phone issue? Has anyone else experienced this?
Not all applications support 120hz, Google Maps comes to mind, pretty sure that's capped at 60hz, I remember reading a article about YouTube not supporting 90hz on OnePlus devices, maybe the YouTube application is also called out at 60hz, I'd confidently say it's probably the app rather than the phone

Its app specific, some apps have no caps some do
I have this issue too.
It seems like whenever a video is playing in whatever app, it will switch to 60Hz.
In Reddit for example, scrolling is very laggy.
If your refresh rate mode is set to auto, ColorOS decides what refresh rate to run on based on a list found at /system/etc/refresh_rate_config.xml
If you set the refresh rate mode to 120Hz, though, it should run at that refresh rate in most apps.

Same here, is pretty annoying because takes away all the smoothness feeling, although sometimes it doesn't happen and keeps working at 120hz, so random... Just wondering did you find anyway to avoid this to happen?

Display and Instagram issues

Hello to everyone, new user of the Xperia 5ii and I have two problems
1)Has anyone observed a slightly change in the colour of the screen between 60 and 120hz? It's very obvious if you have dark mode and sit in a dark room. When you toggle the selection on and off, you can easily see it
2)I was trying to upload an Instagram story and the quality drops significantly. You literally can distinguish pixels. It's only on Instagram, on Facebook there was no problem. Also I tried to upload the photos from another device, and the same problem exists.
Any help is most welcome

This is true and if being honest, quite expected. It most noticable when the screen brightness is somewhere 5-20%. You can clearly see it when toggling the 60 or 120hz. The panel itself is great, many oled defects are gone or very minimal. This green tint issue is quite common on other 120hz panels too (mostly Samsung made). That might also be one reason why the new Iphone 12 phones don't have 120hz, too much quality problems.
So yes, there is a green tint. But luckily it is very minor and only on certain screen brightness. Haven't noticed it when actually using the phone.
Not sure if this count as a defect to get a replacement (the replacement would probably have the same issue).
Attached few photos I took.
I have the same issue in low-brightness and 120Hz activated

Display changes tint when screen is not touched after a few seconds in certain apps

Hey guys,
The screen tint on my 7 Pro is changing in certain apps after the screen has not been touched for a few seconds. The tint goes to a slightly darker, cooler tint, and goes back to a warmer, greenish tint when the screen is touched again. This has happened only in Telegram and YouTube so far, both in dark mode. It has not happened in any other apps or the launcher.
This is noticeable in all display calibrations. It is most noticeable when night mode is on.
Interesting to note that this does not happen in older versions of YouTube, only the newer ones with the line art icons.
DC dimming does not help with the issue.
Important info:
OxygenOS 10.3.6.GM21AA
GM1917
YouTube version 15.45.34
Telegram version 7.2.1
Anyone else have this issue? Any solutions?

I think it's because of the screen refresh rate changing to 60Hz from 90Hz.

Thank you so much, that does seem to be the issue. Used this guide to force 90 Hz. I did test with 60hz beforehand and there was no display tint shift, but forgot to mention it in the OP.

Question Unresponsive Screen/Freezes

Hello,
I own my device for 2 years now and last week I decided it was time for a fresh restart and did a factory reset without any issues...well, until yesterday.
Suddenly, out of the blue, in games like Marvel Snap (card game) and Twitter app, the touch screen becomes unresponsive - only power button to turn screen off and fingerprint unlock works until phone thinks it is okay to respond again.
Weirdly, it gets worse while on Wifi and I notice a slight heating up during such temporary freezes.
My phone is practically useless especially while on Wifi now and doing a clean-up, a BitDefender sweep, changing performance settings did not work. I have to mention that it got worse when I set the power profile to ultimate performance so I am beginning to think there is some kind of overheating issue.
I am on MIUI 14.0.1.0 if that helps in any way. I keep all my apps updated.
Do you have any ideas so as to diagnose the problem here?
Thanks in advance.

Heat causing hardware issue could be possible.
A backup phone and migrate data and apps just in case.
Changed refresh rate to 120hz and uninstalled TorBrowser and the issue seems to have disappeared.
Took refresh rate down to 60hz and it happened again instantly. For some weird reason, 60hz seems to be the problem in my case.
I got stuck at "post reply" button for a few seconds just now.
Nah, nothing seems to work. The issue persists. Videos keep playing - anything happening real time keeps on, but touch controls get stuck/extremely sluggish at best.
