Hi, I had a Gear S3 Classic from the UK which broke whilst charging, I bought a replacement mainboard and installed it successfully (phew!) but after turning it on it's a South Korean model (SM-R775S).
It's all in English now but it has different apps that are installed and I'd like it how my original watch was, is there a way to do this via the options or a firmware change?
Thanks.
Only to be sure...
Your dead Board is SM-R770 BT only...
And now you have ""Jackpot"" with Korean LTE?
Is this correct?
Because Korean LTE is not first choice to change something...
With SM-R775S you have little bit "luck"...
Firmware is available...
For SM-R765 not...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/gear-s3/please-help-bricked-gear-s3-sm-r765s-t3665558
So you have not really easy mission...
Best Regards
Hi, yes it was a SM-770 that I bought in the UK, it fried when I used a different wireless charger on it
The replacement I received from eBay is a SM-R775S, I don't know if it's LTE or not, so by jackpot do you mean I have been lucky by getting this mainboard?
I've actually got used to it now, I've managed to delete a couple of the apps that are in Korean and it's all working pretty much how the old one was, I'm a bit OCD when it comes to things like that but so far I'm ok
Thanks for the reply.

Hi, Firstable sorry about my english is not pretty good but i do my best. Well, I have a Sprint Galaxy Note 2, I did the GSM Modification that is in this forum and works for me perfect in Colombia, but I dont like everytime that i install a new rom i have the same problem everytime that i install a new rom i need to put the APN configurations, also install a LK8 that works in Medellin, Colombia (If someone in Medellin, Colombia is trying to do this the LK8 Modem works i spent a lot of time trying to make this works) Also the configurations the signal is a little bit poor, In Colombia there is Operator called Virgin Mobile that is really cheaper and its really good, when i have my iPhone 4 I have signal everywhere, and im studying in a School really far away from the city and with my iPhone 4 I used to be with all circles of signal, also i had a Huawei (I dont remember which one) and Works 3G at my school, but with the GSM modification i had to change my carrier and i dont know if the adapter that i bought isnt i dont know, Good? i Bought it on AliExpress here tell if the product is good or not, But the signal is poor and the plug disconnect everytime i had to put a piece of paper with glue to make pressure to the plug trying to get the product not disconnected, so i talk with guy of my family who works on mobile repairment but i dont have enough time to talk and he said that if bought and put a Middle Cover of the Galaxy Note N7100 i will not having this problem anymore i bouth it yesterday a that will take i dont know 3 weeks to came to my house because is from China, Thats true about buying this can fix my problem? Instead i look for this product i saw in this page some products that are called MotherBoards, I know what is it, but i dont think that there is people selling it, because in Colombia is 90% impossible to get one legaly, so i look for the N7100 but i dont know if i can make that to my phone, there isnt Hardware Differences between those products? I mean differences Between N7100 and SPH-L900? also in my searching i look for the N7105 that is Note 2 LTE, So what do you recommend to me? Buy a N7100 Motherboard or a N7105? or thats is impossible?.
Well i dont have the permission to post any external Link. if you want to see those products that i mentioned in the post let me a Private Message and i will send you the links of page that i Bought, is AliExpress
Hello everyone
A few days ago my S7 died ( the CPU died )
I have the opportunity to buy a G930FD motherboard from a phone with a cracked display
My question is that if the G930FD motherboard will be hardware compatible ( internal connectors ) with my display and everything else ?
Will the G930FD motherboard perfectly replace my dead G930F motherboard ?
Thx everyone in advance.
Hello
Hello someone
Nobody can give you a definitive answer because chances are nobody have tried this before.
However, considering the fact that all G930F ROMs work perfectly on G930FD (including stock ROMs) then yes, it should work.
Again, don't take this answer for granted, as there's always a chance that this may not work.

Hi
Most likely motherboards are the same , the firmware is the same , the difference is on the sim tray , actually there are (hardware) mods where you "stick" a second SIM in the back of the sd card
http://gadgetguideonline.com/s7/galaxy-s7-online-manual/galaxy-s7-sim-card-guide/
http://www.noreplied.com/how-to-ins...d-and-microsd-card-in-samsung-galaxy-s7-edge/
So i would guess motherboard are the same
Hello, would like to know how it went, my motherboard is having issues and it's a single sim g930F, would like to know if I can replace it with a g930FD.. any updates?
It was a fake model so a didn't buyed.
Instead i have a brand new motherboard single sim
I am going to attempt putting a G930P motherboard into a G930X demo unit
Hi all,
I am going to attempt to replace the motherboard in a Galaxy S7 G930X (demo model without cellular radios), with a motherboard from a G930P (sprint model) that has a broken screen and LCD, but boots and has a clean IMEI number.
I have searched the entire xda forum to see if anyone else has done a cross-swap like this, but have found no answers except one failed attempt back in January 2017, and the guy was going to try again with a different motherboard -- but didn't update the thread to let us know how it worked out. These actually were on the Galaxy S7 Edge sub-forum -- but I understand the internal hardware is about the same and share many parts (but probably not the MBs).
I'd really like to hear from others if they have had any issues doing motherboard swaps between carriers on the S7s.
Thanks in advance,
Philip
P.S. I will update this and the January 2017 S7 Edge thread with my results once I get the phones in hand and the replacement glass battery cover that I ordered from China. So be patient -- it may take a while for it all to get here....
BTW, here's a link to the January 2017 S7 Edge thread:

i'm henry having this same issue my inertia was GM539A at&t so i search 4 replacement but got another model
pls i'm scared need any update pls i can't wait

Well, my first attempt didn't work out the way I had hoped.
Rather than post the results on multiple threads, here's a link to a new thread I started that documents the whole saga: starting with the reason I attempted this, the research done, the models purchased, the actual results from the attempt that documents what is different between the LDUs and their fully functional counterparts and the difficulties encountered, the alternative swap that was performed successfully, and some parting thoughts.
Here's the title and link to the post:
"Swap a good donor motherboard into a G930X LDU (Live Display Unit)? VERY HARD."
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-live-t3719382
I hope it is helpful,
Philip

Henry, did you mean a G935A, the AT&T version of the S7 Edge? You didn't specify which model you later got, so it is hard to be able to help. Please update your post or reply to this post and specify the full model number of the other phone you got is (I assume it is also an S7 Edge model) so we can speak to compatibility issues. (The full model number, G935-, where the "-" is the suffix, is what tells us the carrier and version of the S7 Edge. For instance the "A" suffix tells us that it is a North American AT&T version. Whereas the G935F model is the International/European unlocked GSM only version of the phone).
If the other phone is NOT an S7 Edge, then don't bother trying to swap any parts. Most likely none of the parts are interchangeable.
replaceing s7 motherboard between sm930f and sm930fd
i am having vietnam made sm930f with broken display and back glass. i am also having indian made sm930fd. can i replace the motherboard??
I've ordered the Duos model (G955FD) in Korea. Currently living in Belgium but soon moving to Thailand. Would it be wise to check the firmware installed on the phone and replace it by the stock firmware for that model from Thai market? I can find this firmware on Sammobile website and was wondering if this would be wise or not
It's not necessary. I have ghee same model and didn't need to do anything out of the box. Really nice phone btw

You also use it in Thailand? I am just a bit worried about the fact if Samsung Pay will work or not if it is not the Thai firmware (this is also one of the issues I have with finding a leather wallet case...it need to be able to support wireless charging, have landscape stand to watch movies and support for NFC - Samsung Pay)
If anyone gets the idea of doing a motherboard switch from the snapdragon version to the exynos version... well... i have news for you. I just did that today, it's all good but the cameras both don't work. You will also have an extra antenna cable that you can t plug anywhere but everything fits perfectly. I'm not thinking of investing more money just to have the exynos but if i can't return the motherboard i might get the exynos cameras as well but first i ll try to see if the guy who sold it put a different rom on it other than the original, in download mode it says DTM which is the carrier id for TMobile Germany but the rom on it is from unlocked unbranded united kingdom
Does anyone know how unlocked germany phones are? the ones from t mobile i mean.
it was just an idea after i argued with samsung for why they have a language just partially in the system and the rest in english while the translation already exists on the international verison plus i have always had root and mods and i missed that, it's my phone not samsung's.
Hi folks.
Last year I've got robbed in California when I was traveling with my cousin, and decided to buy one S22 Ultra, once I like so much the Samsumg Wallet app and service.
The service is working alright, however, I can not access the "Rewards Program" from Brazil.
Since I got back home in Brazil, I restored the mobile to the factory details, nothing new.
After that, realized that in "country and region" tab the country "United States" was sticky, could not change manually to Brazil.
Thinking that changing the country might solve the trouble, I contacted Samsung US, did the whole procedure they asked me (including an explicit declaration) and changed the country to Brazil. Later, restored again my phone to factory details.
Now I see that nothing changes the Samsung Wallet Rewards Programs, it keeps appearing announcements of macys and other brands in US, nothing alike brazilian program, and I actually would like to use it, like I got used to use in my last galaxy (the phone robbed was a xiaomi, had to use google pay instead of samsumg pay), one thing that inarguably made me to get back to samsung.
SHOULD I CHANGE THE FIRMWARE? I completely depleted my support with samsung.com (Brazil and US), they can not help me, they say once my phone is bought in US, it's gonna be alwase US.
Got informations about following model versions of fw: "SC-52CSCG14", "SM-S9080", "SM-S908B", "SM-S908E", "SM-S908N", "SM-S908U", "SM-S908U1" and "SM-S908W".
My phone is "SM-S908U1", but I couldnt find any brazilian firmware of SM-S908U1.
I have found ONLY the SM-S908E in brazilian version, question: IS IT GONNA WORK ON MY PHONE?
Second question: IS IT GONNA SOLVE MY PROBLEM OF SAMSUNG WALLET (appearing our Brazilian Rewards Programs [instead of americans])?
Thank you very much.
