I'm very pleased with the Galaxy Note 20 Case, Crystal Clear Ring Holder Protective Shockproof Silicone Phone Cover for Samsung Galaxy Note 20, Black from SQM on Amazon at $10.98. It is clear with a black bumper and reinforcements in the corners. The ring in the back center does triple duty as a holder you slip your finger through, a prop for watching videos, and ferromagnetic attachment for magnetic mounts.

I bought this one and returned it. Made phone too thick:

Wait ? What ? the samsung clear case was too thick so you settled with a Defender ?
Okay how is the defender doing ? I always thought they were overpriced for what you actually get. The Spigen Neo Hybrid was my next choice.

Using Ringke Fusion Smoke Black now..

Schnail Titan Case
For something rugged, I like the Schnail Titan very much. It's mil spec drop tested, tripple layer, grippy sides, easily pressed buttons, easy access to SPen, and a kickstand. It also works with wireless charging.

ive had a cheap little sleeve, and it really did nothing for protection. I know your against otterboxs, but I will still recommend a otterbox commuter. It DOES add some thickness to your phone, but it offers amazing protection. a sleeve really only protects from scratches, not big drops.

I went to the mall to test out the cheap cases and I could hear my phone hit the glass counter top when I gently turned it over. I went directly to Best Buy Mobile and overpaid for a Belkin... which is what I also bought for my original Incredible. I love the fit, protection, and coverage of the buttons. I clean my phones daily, so I like that the buttons aren't exposed.
Just my 2 cents.
Good luck with whatever you decide!
The inciPio silicrylic case. It's a slim 2 piece case at a reasonable price. It looks so GOOD to me. ( I have a white galaxy s 3 with the white and gray version of this case ) it's stylish, slim, and provides great protection

I have been really impressed with this case...not too bulky, nice grip on the side, the corners have extra reinforcement.
I have the Incipio Dual black/black on my white phone. Looks super sexy and really doesnt add much bulk while still providing great protection.

You can look at SGP's line of cases,
http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/samsung/galaxy-s3.html
Samsung Galaxy S3 Case Neo Hybrid Color Series (TPU back cover and a polycarbonate frame)
Samsung Galaxy S3 Case Neo Hybrid Lumi Series (Same as Color Series but brighter colors)
Samsung Galaxy S3 Ultra Thin Air Series (Polycarbonate back)
Samsung Galaxy S3 Case Modello Series (TPU Case)
I've tried the Incipio case and currently use an Otterbox. The Incipio case was nice and the color complimented well, but felt too loose. The Otterbox fits tight, but is too tight for those who need to change battery frequently or whatever. I haven't completed decided which I like better.

Quality is pretty good, however it's supposed to be clear but it looks very very white. Also thicker than my father-in-laws "official samsung thin case" that he has on his s3, but it protects the screen if you turn it over which is nice.
Check out DBA ultra cases...slim profile of a tpu paired with hard PC shell plus they come in many color combinations...the s4 prototypes are still being tested but I'm sure they'll b on par with the note 2 ultra pc's which i have...

Otterbox Defender Series Too Expensive ($70!)

http://www.otterbox.com/Galaxy-Note-4-Defender-Series-Case/sam2-galaxy-note-4-set,default,pd.html
Isn't this case too pricey?!
This is the only case you will ever need, guaranteed.
It is a little high. Your paying for top of the line. Port covers, holsters, lots of unique color choices and a screen protector. The case looks well made. For me note 2 I spent over 50 for my case and holster. The one I brought was good but this one looks better. I'd consider it if it had a kick stand.
The price should come down in a few months but I don't think it's really overpriced.
Or just grab a UAG case and get similar protection for half the price (and better looks).

It does have a kickstand... The Belt clip is a kickstand. If you pull it back the whole way it will snap into the kickstand position.

It's certainly pricier than other models but one thing they appear to have accounted for is the fingerprint scanner. It looks like the case is notched right below it. Fingerprint scan worked fine on my Note 4 until I threw the Spigen Tough Armor case on. Now I can't get a consistent swipe.

I used to have this case for the Galaxy S3. It was really sturdy but one thing I didn't like is how the TPU/rubber material eventually would not stick/pulled away from the phone and I had to keep pushing in that rubber/TPU material all the time. It was pretty pricey to have to deal with that type of problem.
When I got my Note 3, I tried a few cases and eventually stuck with the Urban Armor Gear. I kept it because it was sturdy, felt good in the hand, saw different drop tests on Youtube, and was Military drop-test certified. I kept that case and also the case with the Zero Lemon extended battery since it was sturdy, covered the ports, and looks to be able to take drops as well.
The Rubber/TPU material is something I never favored either, haha

If Otterbox fixed that issue, it would be the perfect case(although still pricey).
I would recommend the Urban Armor Gear if you haven't tried it before. The only bad thing is that it doesn't have covers for the ports, but it's still a great case. I had the white/Navigator case for the Note 3 and for the Note 4 I decided to order this one:
http://www.urbanarmorgear.com/products/galaxy-note-4-case-clear
At first, before I ordered the UAG, there weren't many options for sturdy cases that were available, so I went with this one:

For all complaining about the TPU cover stretching out on an Otterbox, you know all you have to do is take a picture of it with your info and Otterbox sends you another outer case free of charge. On my S3, I had mine and my wife's outer case, holster etc... replaced multiple times even after a year. So for $59 you paying for lifetime of support and free replacement with minimum hoop jumping.

That case does come with a holster but according to the seller does not have a kickstand unfortunately. It is the only holster case I've been able to find with headphone, mini USB & S Pen port covers. I'm waiting until the 22nd when it's available fulfilled by Amazon to see if anything else becomes available and if not I'll order it.
It is possible that case will stand up in the landscape mode when the belt clip is rotated to align with the holster clip on the side. My BodyGlove ToughSuit does that and it was not listed as a feature on Amazon when I bought it.
I've read Otterbox reviews in the past that state their cases become loose and I think their price is ridiculous.
If you can wait one of the holster/case Platinum Series Best Buy sells is made by Seidio and has a kickstand. It's the Seido convert combo. Best Buy sells it for $20 less than Seidio.

Need a case that covers all ports/stylus...

I am currently using the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro case. I dropped it and it cracked near 2 corners so I'm looking for a new case. Anyone know of a similar case that provides protection and has port and s pen covers? I've only seen maybe 1 other case (love mei?) that has a stylus cover, but it looked way too bulky and couldn't use the fingerprint scanner.

You're luckier than me, I dropped my case a couple times on concrete and noticed hairline fractures on 2 corners. Ordering the armorbox will probably be a lateral move or even a step down cause it does not have a cover for the s pen which is what I am looking for.

Yes, that does look interesting. Too bad it doesn't come with a holster. I can't pocket carry this phone. I like that it comes with optional back covers, but that case looks like it has no grip at all.

What case are you all using if using one??

I typically swear by them, but this deduce feels so good in my hand, I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not to buy a case..
That as a screen protector. The glass is just silky..
On the other hand, a skin I am seriously considering..
Any and all discussions and inputs most welcome..
*also if your using a screen protector, which one and what type of material?

have an otterbox defender on order so i got the t21 while i wait, i like it so far, slim and protective.
I have the tech21 one and will use it if I need better protection. I don't care for its ergonomics especially when it comes time to remove the S-Pen! It's too hard. The buttons require a lot of force to actuate too. And I question the deep wells around the microphone holes how they may affect sound quality when recording video...
I just got this today:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GHVLU90/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's super thin and shiny and all. For $5.99 it's a no brainer if you are a member of the "barely there" crowd.
I don't know what Diztronic has against edge phones as there was no case for the S7E and probably the Note 7 as well. They are my favorite case for thinness. But for now this six dollar shiny plastic will do.
EDIT: Now I see Diztronic does have a Note 7 case! Looks to be backordered a week or two but I will be getting it.

My wife has the Caseology Parallax series in the Mint color she loves it, a decently grippy case with the back being kinda soft with dimples. I've got the Spigen Neo Hybrid Gunmetal case, not as grippy as hers but still feels good. Pretty slim case though (doesn't add much bulk at all) and it fits like a glove. Got both off Amazon, for $14.99 and $15.99 I believe. Now I've just got to find us some screen protectors that won't peel on the edges. We got the Skinomi Techskin Full Coverage (case friendly) version 1 protectors and mine peeled like crazy and my wife's is on pretty good. Haven't heard much about the version 2 that just released, I'm hoping they fixed the issue. Anybody tried the version 2 Skinomi Techskin case friendly version with a case by chance?

My wife has the Caseology Parallax series in the Mint color she loves it, a decently grippy case with the back being kinda soft with dimples. I've got the Spigen Neo Hybrid Gunmetal case, not as grippy as hers but still feels good. Pretty slim case though (doesn't add much bulk at all) and it fits like a glove. Got both off Amazon, for $14.99 and $15.99 I believe. Now I've just got to find us some screen protectors that won't peel on the edges. It specifically says "version 2" in the description when ordering on Amazon. My description does not include "version 2", as well as clearing it up with Skinomi, when asking for a warranty replacement due to this thing peeling. But ordering it directly from Skinomi or elsewhere, I'm not sure, I don't know if on the box it says revised version 2 or anything like that, as I haven't received it yet. Do you have the Skinomi Techskin too?
Here's the one I'm currently using

Otterbox Commuter. Love it.
Just got my Seidio Surface Case and Holster, it fits well. Only problem is when they have the cases in stock the holster is out of stock or vice versa.

i started out with a spigen neo hybrid. ordered that before i had received the phone. once i noticed i wasn't showing off the beautiful back glass of the phone i got the spigen neo hybrid crystal. both are lightweight and just what i need in a case

Also using the neo hybrid crystal and love it, shows off my silver note and offers decent protection without adding much thickness

Haven't tried yet, applied a Skinomi before getting the case but the edges did not stay now I am waiting on a few tempered screen protectors to come in.
Spigen saved my Note 4 now it protects my Note 7
Spigen Tough Armor case (gunmetal to offset/match the Titanium model). it doesn't add much to the overall size of the phone and has a kickstand and really does protect the phone. Only $17 on Amazon.
