I have been using poco x2 for 3 months and I have this problem from beginning. My device refuses to connect to WiFi and to connect I have to reboot the device . because of this I have to reboot the device several times a day. And when WiFi is on if I connect a wireless Bluetooth earphones the wifi gets disconnected. So all this time I had to choose between WiFi and wireless earphones. It is giving me a hard time to game
Why
Please mention which rom , Kernel , or miuii version u use its very difficult to say... If using miui my suggestion (why u don't switch to any custom ROM ) reset your device once ..if not works then contact to nearby service centre

Stock ROM ,I guess.
Miui 11.0.11.0
Android 10
Model m1912g7b1
Kernal 4.14.117
Why I didn't change to custom ROM , I liked the overall feel and also didn't want to void warranty.
I am trying to reset my phone . and I had backed up all my data. And it is in the phone itself should I go forward with factory reset or should I move the backup to another storage and then reset

Firstly warranty is not void .. company claims it but no problem it's up to u... If u like it then best....
But if go to service centre they also tell you to do factory reset. And before reset back-up ur pics ,n alll data.. important to you...( Go with factory reset..)

Recently my Nexus s started bootlooping.
First it was happening if the phone was powered off due to finished battery, now it happens every time i power it off.
What happens is, it bootloop on the google logo. In order to over come that i pull the battery out and turn it back on. After a few time (3-10) it would start up normally and not bootlooping.
I run stock 4.0.3, not rooted.
Anyone has a clue ?

my only suggestion is maybe a factory reset, you might have some corrupted files somewhere. but, my fear/concern is that your internal sd storage card might be going.

Yes factory data reset only deletes all data on your phone not the SD card.

Okay, so i did factory reset and i'm still stuck on the bootloop. Need to remove the battery and turn back on until it doesn't bootloop.
Actually what happens is the google logo appear, then for a moment it turned off and comes back again.
simms22, why do you think it's internal sd damage ?
TheMatrix246, what's ODIN ?
Guys, you think if i root and switch ROM it could be fixed ?
I would appreciate some help here a bit lost.
One last thing before you contact Samsung:
Download Nexus S [i9020T/i9023] 4.0.3 Full ROM and copy to sdcard as update.zip
Go into bootloader
Recovery
Data/factory reset
Install update.zip (reflash all files of ICS)
Reboot and hope it works out fine
If this doesn't work for you i highly doubt rooting and changing ROMs will. This will reinstall the entire OS (format and install /system), bootloader, radio, kernel and recovery.
Do i need to be root user in order to do that ?
And just to make sure, this Full ROM is for i9020T ? correct ?
(mine says only GT-i9020 on the back, bought in Carphone Warehouse in England).
Yes, i9020T. If you get 3G with Orange, and you have the SAMOLED screen, you have the i9020T (and to my knowledge, 9020 on the back signifies i9020T).
Also, i don't believe you need to be root to do that. I'm pretty sure you can flash the same version ROM from stock recovery as long as it is signed, just not older versions.
First, thanks guys for the help.
After first doing the factory reset, it seemed the bootloop happens less often. At first i tought it was solved but then it rarely (1 to 5 reboots) yet happened.
Today i installed the Full ROM Harbb suggested and so far i have no reboot issues.
But i after the installation i saw OS wasn't reset. Does it suppose to (not) happen ?

You're welcome. Also, all that file does is replace everything in the /system partition (OS). All apps besides the defaults that come from the factory are not in that partition so are not affected. Hopefully your problem is fixed permanently
But it's generally recommended to do a full wipe when switching ROMs. It could be that you encounter other problems because of the ROM change without wipe. But you could also be lucky to have no problems. Just to remind you, when you encounter something wierd.
Problem is still there ....
Hi guys,
First thanks for all the help, but the problem still there.
I did the upgrade using the Full ROM as Harbb suggested. For the first 10-12 times i rebooted (i rebooted again and again) it was alright, booting successfully ... but then it stated occasionally to bootloop and now it does it almost everytime. usually takes up to 10 times i remove the battery and start the phone so it will start up and not bootloop.
Also, I'm sorry the taking so long to respond, the nature of the problem compelling me to test it for a few days so i will know if it works or not.
Should i root the device ?
If so , how do i replace / rewrite the boot program ?
I would much appreciate any suggestion.
I had a similar problem, bootlooping, stuck on Google logo when running 4.0.3 in the end I took it back to carphone warehouse who repaired it and now it's ok. I found that heating it with a hair-dryer made it stop bootlooping (but that's what worked for me). However the repair seems to have fixed any issues and its all OK now.

My problem is i bought the device also in carphone warehouse in the UK, but i live in Israel. Meaning i will have to send it to them by air-mail.
By any chance they mentioned what was the problem ?
also did they give you a refurbished device or a new one ?

Hey, thanks for the replay.
What does is mean to flash it ?
How do i do that ?
You noted it was returned unrooted, was it rooted before ?
Again thank you all for the help.
To be honest I'm a novice to these terms but know that they unlocked it(it was not unlocked when sent off) and reinstalled os 2.3.3 after a complete wipe. Details of how to unlock and flash (install a different os) are on the forums. If you follow the forum advice precisely the instructions work. I am now running a CyberGR rom of ics 4.0.3 that runs smoother than stock ics . Again found on these forums. Hope this helps.

I am wanting to sell my SGS2. It is rooted and running Darkside UCLE2 Rom . what do i do to clear my personal info out of the phone before I sell it ?
I know if it was a stock phone I would just do a factory reset but have no clue what to do with the custom Rom installed.
Thanks for the help !

Well (that instructions may apply to any phone, not just SGS2):
- flash Stock ROM / un-root if you are already on stock rom
- wipe data / factory reset
- format internal storage (remember, it's not affected by factory reset and may contain private data)
same applies to your SD card if you are selling phone with it
You might want to flash a custom ROM and keep it rooted since that brings the value of the phone up, people are willing to buy it for more.

Hello ,
My last ROM problem was solved and I know have CM9 ROM .
But I noticed that the files on my sd card are still there ,and I want a Clean start .
I am used that they are deleted whenever I made a ( Reset to factory settings ) as I was making always before thinking to Root and make Custom ROM ,
I just wanted to know what would happen if I Made a ( Reset to factory settings ) from the settings menu ,
ofcourse I know my backup that I have on the internal card will be deleted but :
Will I lose the Root ?
Will I lose the Custom ROM and go back to the original ROM ?
The second question is , I heard before that I can share some space from my external sdcard to my internal sd card , is that really possible by any method ?
Sorry for long topic .
Any one ?

Since you flashed CM9 factory reset will yust make you lose all your apps and settings, root is build in CM so you still have root.
Only way to go back to Original rom is to flash it....

Yes, right.
You just go back to a fresh install of the ROM
Just like when you factory reset on the Original Rom it just deletes everything that was changed after first boot...

you should be able to do a factory reset, that should solve your problem but you will lose all data and apps that you had installed In order to save your contacts, messages etc, its best to make backup first, you can download My Phone explorer to your PC and client to phone from google play store to backup everything before factory reset or flashing stock ROM
Factory reset is normally done by going into settings> privacy > factory reset. or it may be located in an another location in settings.
or you can follow this and flash a stock kernel to solve your problem
Check this out! You , YES! you are an " Android ". Not your phone but U.

Hey guys. Before I get to my issue and seek your help , please allow me to give you a bit of background about my self wrt Android OS and nexus devices. I have been a Nexus device user since the N1 days. OS flashing , Custom rom's , kernel patching , etc are nothing new to me. I can safely say that I am a custom rom addict , hence I know the mods for my devices intricately well. With this out of the way , I'd like to share the sequence of events that took place yesterday , which lead to this new thread , wherein I desperately need some expert advice.
- I was running the latest Bigxie 5.0 rom for my 32gb N5. It had root and TWRP and elementalx kernel
- I wanted to upgrade to the 5.0.1 without losing any data , so I first tried to sideload the OTA zip file , which failed with some error. I then followed this guide (http://bit.ly/1wNT36l) . I was able to therefore flash the 5.0.1 without losing data. I re rooted my phone , re flashed the recovery and the kernel
- At the same time I was upgrading my LG g3 to Lollipop. I wanted to try the "Tap & Go" data transfer feature , so I used that process to transfer the data from my current N5 to the new G3. Here is when the issue started. The data transfer didn't go through , as only the email accounts transferred to the G3. At the same time , I got this notification on the Nexus that Tap and Go was used to transfer my email accounts , and this notification couldn't be cleared from the notification panel. For some odd reason , I decided to jump back into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache to get rid of this notification
- As soon as I did that specific wipe and restarted the phone , the phone would just loop at the nexus image boot screen. 15 minutes later I went back into recovery and decided to use the "factory reset wipe". That too didn't solve my problem. Frustrated at the turn of events , I reflashed Bigxie's 5.0 rom from my internal storage , via twrp.
- The phone finally booted! But now the problem was that my Sdcard was showing no files. It was all blank. I checked with root explorer / es explorer and even when I hooked up my phone to my pc , the sdcard was showing no files. I could , however , see all my files in the root -- data -- media -- 0 folder. I tried my best to extract all my files from there , but each time I got an error that pretty much meant that no files could be moved from there. Interestingly , when I went into twrp , and went into file manager in the advanced options , it showed all my files on the sdcard as though nothing went wrong. So I could see everything on the sdcard in recovery , but nothing if i booted into the OS.
- Since I had made a backup of most of my data prior to any this happening , with the exception of certain whatsapp data , and after having spent almost 5-6 hours in figuring out where I had possibly gone wrong , I decided to wipe my device clean and just install the stock OS and pack this device away for good
- I downloaded the stock factory image for 5.0 from the official site and went back into bootloader and fastboot flashed each and every file. The phone booted , BUT , now my phone showed only 12GB as the size of the storage with 11GB available. This frazzled me beyond words! How did I reach this stage wherein my internal storage was screwed to this level?
- I again went back into bootloader , flashed 5.0.1 , wiped the device and now the phone is again stuck in a bootloop on the nexus bootscreen
I have finally decided to send the device to the LG service center near my office , but I wanted to share this experience with the community hear and seek their guidance on where I possibly went wrong and what I can do now to put things back together to some degree of normality. Have I somehow damaged something at the hardware level that a change of motherboard may be warranted or is this a pure software screwup?
Thank you for your patience in reading this loooooong story , but I had to explain each and every step in perfect detail.
after flashing stock image.. there is no need to wipe anything... just boot it... takes around 5-10mins max but comes up.....
When it does 12GB on a 32GB device, you just have to factory reset using the option from inside the ROM.
