The captioned folder is repeatedly being loaded onto my android tablet, even after being deleted. What is the source and how can I block it or delete it permanently.
i have the same folder on my phone.
Safe to delete.
The files in this folder are pictures and appears to be some sort of leftover cache for an app UI. The folder and its contents can be safely deleted. If you want to be sure you can move or copy this folder to a windows PC and open the files in a photo viewer.
In my case they came from an app I tried a while back ago and then uninstalled called " Cleanmaster"
Hello Friends,
I'm going to share a simple way to theme your dialer screen(Change Its Background) without using PC.
Requirements:-
Your A110 For Sure
And A Few Apps Installed In That They Are :
1.X-plore File Manager
2.Batch Image Converter(Optional)
(You Will Find Both Apps On Play Store)
But Hey Keep In Mind This Tutorial Is For Rooted Devices Only.
Now How To Do This :
Step-1) First Of All Open X-plore.
1.1)Press Menu Button Choose Configuration In The Pop-Up Menu.
1.2)In That Menu Change The Root Access From Normal To SuperUser+Mount Writable.
Note: If Already Done Skip This Step.
Step-2)Open "Root/system/apps" .
Step-3)Look For The "Contacts.apk" File There.
Step-4)Copy That File Somewhere In The SD Card.
Step-5)Now Move To The Location In The SD Card Where You Pasted The "Contacts.apk" .
Step-6)Now Touch & Hold The File For A While & A Drop Down Menu Will Appear, From That Menu Choose The Option "Open Apk As Zip" .
Step-7)Now The "Contacts.apk" Will Open As A Zip File & A List Of A Few Folders And Files Will Be Shown Below.
Step-8)In The Folders There Will Be A Folder Named "res" Open That Folder, Again A List Of Folders Will Appear, Select "drawable-nodpi" Folder From Them.
Step-9)In That Folder There Will Be A File Named As "background_dial_holo_dark.png"
Now Replace This File With Any File Of Your Choice.
Note:- The New File Should Be Renamed As "background_dial_holo_dark" & Should Have The Extension As ".png" And Its Resolution Would Be Same As That Of The Original File (480x854 In Most Cases).
You Can Download A ".png" File From Internet, But If You Are Not Able To Find Any File With That Extension And Resolution, Then Use "Batch Image Converter to Convert Any Image File To A ".png" File.
Step-10)When You Are Done, Once Again Touch And Hold On The "Contacts.apk" (The Same File You Are Working On) And From The Drop Down Menu Choose"Zip Back To Apk".
Step-11)Now Place Your Modified "Contacts.apk" File In "Root/system/apps" After Deleting Original "Contacts.apk" From There (Make A Backup Of The Original App In Case You Need That).
Step-12)Now Set The Permissions Of This (New/Modified) "Contacts.apk" As rw-r--r--. (By Touching & Holding The File & Selecting "Permissions" From The Drop Down Menu When You Are In Root/sytem/apps).
Done.
Reboot Your Phone Now !!!
And See The New Dialer.
Hit Thanks If You Find It Helpful.

Hi folks,
hope I'm posting this in the correct place.
I have my DCIM folder on my SD card, and I have deleted the folder instead of an individual photo in the folder several times now.
Is there a way to prevent the deletion of this folder, by locking it or installing an app that will lock the folder, but not hide it or impact the usability in any way?
Change the permission to read only using any file browser like xplore..
Permission cannot be changed unless its a system folder..
The only option is to be careful not to delete any folder you don't want to or download ES File Explorer from the play store and enable Recycle Bin so you can restore back your folder in case you delete them.
I've installed the ES File Explorer, let's see if that does the trick. Thanks!

You'd need to post more info. Like:
1. Name of folder
2. Location of folder (SD card/system partition/data partition/etc)
3. Contents of the folder.
4. Anything else that might be helpful. Like the creation date of the folder etc.

Thanks for the reply.
1. The name of the folder is ADM. It created when I install the apps. ADM holo
2. It is in the SD card partion.
3. small video files.
It seems to be permission issue, which dont allowing me to delete the folder neither I can move, but yes I can rename the folder.

Have you tried using different file managers? (including stock)
Or connecting it to your computer and try deleting it from there. Or.....If its a removable SD card, insert it in another device and try deleting the folder.
What version of android are you on btw?

Yes I have tried 2 to 3 explorer other than the stock one. but same. As version is Marshmellow so memory will not be detect in my PC. when I connect the phone with my PC, I tried to delete it, It gets delete, but again when I check from my mobile it show the folder and files as it is. that means it don't gets deleted. I don't know why it happens like that.
