depending on your carriers lte, you might not be able to get lte. there is a european variant with differing lte bands. but again, it might be fine as well.

There is 2 different Nexus 5's. There's the D820 which is the T-Mobile, At&t, Sprint version and then there's the D821. You can always check and find out what bands your carrier supports to make sure you get the right version.

The TMo version probably does not come with a sim card ejector tool. Might want to order one on eBay or Amazon while you wait or else you'll find yourself with a new phone and no way to put in your sim

It did on my T-mo S5
It should because the phones use a lot of the same frequency bands. Most T-Mobile and AT&T phones are like that to my knowledge

it has been reported several times that it does, so I'd say yes
Anyone close the loop on this? Did the T-Mobile G3 work on AT&T?
I ask because I'd like to do the same...
Yes. It does.
I assume it works fine, with no limitations...?

My AT&T unlocked G3 works fine on T-Mobile with the exception of tethering. I've read you can root it to get it to work, otherwise, it's pretty much not going to work. I'm not sure if it's the same the other way around or not though.

[Q] Motorola Droid Ultra XT1080M on ATT

Just a quick question I hope I can get a quick reply on.to help a friend. From what I can tell this phone should work on ATT with a carrier unlock. Just want to be 100% sure before I tell him to go ahead and buy one. But from what I can tell it should be fine (Although may or may not have 4G on ATT, but thats not hugely important).

It says it's unlocked for GSM carriers so you should be able to use your AT&T SIM without hassle, if not use ebay protect to get a refund

Thats what I thought. Just wanted to be sure. Ive never had to deal with bringing a phone from one carrier to another before. I know it needs to be carrier unlocked. Just wasn't 100% sure if GSM was ATT compatible. Also thanks for the advice on the ebay protect. Will let my friend know about that.

955U at Tmobile store.

So I went to a Tmobile store and looked at the Galaxy s8+ and noticed the model was 955U not 955T
It was of course their demo unit which was strapped (tethered) to the desk which makes it impossible to feel properly in the hand... But whatever.
Curious if only the demo model was a U variant or what? I never payed attention to other models before now?
The U variant of other Samsung models, do they have Locked bootloaders? Is it only the F variant that is unlocked (bootloader)
Sent from my Rooted Galaxy S7 EDGE on Android 7.0 Nougat, here's the instructions how to do it!
The SM-G955U is suppose to be the Unlock variant of the S8+, which make it super interesting, Hope this comes with unlock bootloader

All snapdragon s7 edge have locked bootloader including the g935u so I'm assuming the same thing with the s8 hope this helps (unless someone finds a way to root s8)

With the S8 and S8+ they are using single SKU..Verizon, At&t and T-Mobile will be the same model number. Screenshot of my S8 recovery screen.
According to Samsung.com and the phones full specs they are each different

You guys think flashing another carriers firmware unlocks the missing bands?
None of the U's are bootloader unlocked. They are just network unlocked. At least starting with the S7 in my experience. Its a hopeful thought though. I hope I am wrong

That is absolutely right. Only exception being TMO will work with a prepaid MetroPCS sim and ATT with work with a Cricket sim.
That's really interesting. So I purchased a T-mobile model directly from Samsung.com (paid in full), will I possibly be able to use it on At&t?

From what I read I'm not sure how long it will take to have T-Mobile officially unlock it. They have an app for that but they have several different criteria as far as being a current customer or a prepaid versus postpaid customer. Ive never unlocked a T-mobile phone with the app or a third party unlocking service so maybe someone with examples could chime in. It does seem AT&T has an easier online unlocking method for current and non customers to simply fill out a form.
And the U models are slow with updates

Don't be mad at me that both Verizon and Samsung and each carrier list different bands. I hate them all F these companies trying to screw us all with misinformation.

I asked for some proof and you provided zero. I have to trust the carriers and the company that makes the phones. I didn't make the carriers all list a ton of random bands nobody needs and leave off the few we need in this country. I hate the carriers amd samsung trust me I want you to be right.

Pixel International version on Veriozn, PLease help

There is a deal today of the Pixel International version model# G-2PW4200. I want to buy this for my wife. We are on the grandfathered Verizon Unlimited plan. The seller states that it will work with all carriers including Verizon but not with Sprint (not that I care). I have searched to be certain but have not come with any answers. Does anyone know if this phone will work with Verizon?
Thanks

I've seen that. That shows it supports more CDMA bands that US version, yet seller says it will not work on Sprint. That is why I am so confused

UPDATE: The phone does indeed work on Verizon.
However under my devices on the Verizon website the phone nor model is listed. It does list the other phones/models on my account but not this one.

What about Sprint? I have 4200 and want to switch to Sprint for this "1 year free unlimited" promo.
Anyone tried using Sprint on Global version?
