I'm having a couple of issues with this rom. 1st is the email apk I installed from the web site is when I get new emails (exchange) they apear in the notifacation bar like normal but they just keep counting new ones in the bar everytime, I'm up to like 90 something in a day.
2nd is the video camera, when I select limits for mms and start videoing the screen will go black and say the camera application has failed. Any ideas?

have you tried to flash again. in my experiance sometimes just flashing is easier than trying to find the fix THEN apply it. may mess other stuff if you dont know what your doing. if a Re-Flash does not work then you will have to go this rout and find out why its not working. i had that email thing happen.....it actually took me a lil digging to find an email APK that wasnt giving me some sort of issues.
Yes I have tried to reflash twice with the same result with the email problem and video camera problem as well.
Sent from my SGH-I997 using XDA App
well then if the camera works on other roms. i will just pull the camera files from there and paste them into the appropriate places and see if that helps the FC's
but thats not as easy as just picking another Rom.

S7 doesn't have the 30fps fix if thats is the video problem you are refering to.
Friends don't let friends flash and drive.
I'm having an issue with texts and calls not turning the screen on. On any other rom, when I get a text, the screen lights up to show the lockscreen for a few seconds. Doesn't seem to be doing that on S7; is there a setting for that? Also, calls will ring/vibrate for several seconds before the screen turns on to allow me to answer.
I wanted to try S7 but I do not want to lose functionality of my front camera.

sounds pretty simple, skunk.
you flash S7. If you lose the cam, the flash something else.

So I have another strange issue with GO SMS Pro and sending MMS Pictures. When I choose to take a photo or from gallery GO SMS rotates it and when other end gets the images they are rotated.
I read somewhere that its a Samsung camera issue with exif data, but have not found a solution for it. Regular messaging app allows to send images normally.
Any one has any ideas ?
Bump ?????
did you uninstall and install back again? clear app data? Cauz i have go sms and it runs well.
When you saying running well do you mean you go to go SMS pro to send a mms click choose image or take picture and it does not flip it ?
Interesting today I took a picture via camera then when to gallery and shared it and choose go SMS compose and that worked find so very interesting.
EDIT: My bad it didnt work properly it just flipped it the other way so it went straight I took it in landscape and it flipped it so it sent properly.... In regular messaging app it works fine. I think its because samsung flips pictures but it self... and then go sms flips it again, is there anyway to stop this from happening ?
Same Boat
It does the same thing on the Infuse 4G, so it must be a Samsung thing. I can't pinpoint exactly what causes it. Even with a Cyanogenmod7 Camera it does it.
Very very annoying...
I have the note pro 12.2 P900. I noticed the other day if I use the stylus to select a portion of the screen, I.e. hold the button while drawing a circle on the screen, I believe its called lasso screen capture, it then prompts me to select an app to paste into. No matter what app I choose it will crash.
For example, say on amazon.com (firefox) I lasso screen capture something I want to buy, it then brings up all the apps I can paste into and I select gmail, it will then say unfortunately gmail has stopped. If I choose hangouts it will ask which user, and once I select one it says unfortunately hangouts has stopped. This behavior is the same regardless of where I copy from or where I paste to.
This feature used to work fine. I dont know what I did to break it. Any suggestions On how to fix this?
I just tried it on my p900 and it works OK.
I'm running Civato 's rom if it makes a difference or not.

Thanks. I dont doubt it works. I used to use this feature fine. I dont use it often and I dont know when I broke it. I did root my tablet and I installed xposed. I am mostly sure it still worked after that.
Could this be like a corrupted file cache issue?
GT-I9505G 5.0
Phone app: in Recents calls: shows unknow outgoing calls (this makes no sense since an unknown number can not be called)
Phone app: dialer is VERY laggy; when I initiate a call, the phone will look like it is doing nothing for 5-10 seconds, then will start call. When answering a call, people on the other end cannot her me and I can't her them for about 3-5 seconds causing some to hang up before I can say anything.
Fix: Wipe Data/cache.
Photos app: pressing the left soft key, it opens a black menu.
Workaround: tap the three dots button at the top right.
FlashLight tile not present in quicksettings
Fix: Use the flash light in the camera app, the tile will appear after this
If you find other bugs, I'll add them to the list.
I would like to report these bugs to Samsung but still do not know who to contact, If anyone knows who to contact to submit bug reports, please tell me.
*Ringtone, phone won't hold custom ringtone-resets after reboot
-I have found that the dialer app is VERY laggy. When I initiate a call, the phone will look like it is doing nothing for 5-10 seconds, then will start call.

Am I crazy, or do we not seem to have the built-in flashlight that everyone else is talking about with lollipop? I can't find the darn thing anywhere.

I know I'm going to sound like a crazy person saying this, but in case anyone else runs into this issue: the Flashlight setting was not available anywhere for me *until* I installed a third-party flashlight app (I installed Torch since it seems to have reasonable permissions). After I installed the app, the in-system Flashlight setting showed up in Quick Settings. I am not making this up.

I am on Cricket. I have an update though. After after clearing the data/cache of the dialer app and restarting, it is much better. Still a very slight bit of lag when dilaing out, but it is more than acceptable. Also, I can answer with no problem. Not sure what was hanging it up, but all is good now.

You don't sound crazy. It appeared for me eventually as well. I never downloaded a flashlight app though. I started up the video app and turned on the light while taking a video. Not too long after, it showed up. I think you just need to use it in some fashion or another and it should show up.
When I try to delete a file from my microSD card using any file explorer app that has been updated for Lollipop's new API allowing write access to the external card, I am asked to grant access permission by choosing the root folder of the external storage when the Android "picker" is displayed. But the picker only shows internal storage, not listing external storage as an option.

Thanks for the suggestion. With Lollipop, the root-based work-around this app implements is no longer needed for apps that are updated to use a new Android feature. Android 5.0 introduces a way for asking the user to grant write access to the external SD card. That's what's not working as it should. I am also trying to add this to my own app and it fails in the same way. I'm guessing this is either a problem with version 5.0 that is fixed in 5.0.1 or is only affecting the I9505G, since I haven't found anyone else noting the issue.

I am having the same problem also. When I try to move ,delete etc. a file using ES file explorer it fails every time. I get no message asking for permission to do so
either. Have tried root explorer also with same results.
Also my phone with 5.0 will not set a default ringtone. I can set one and it shows as the default but when I go to a contact that has default ringtone when I
click on it all I get is a generic low tone. I have to assign a custom ringtone to a contact for it to work when I get a call. This also happens with notification sounds.
In other words I cannot set default sounds for anything that work. Very frustrating and time consuming to have to go through every contact and program to set custom sounds for them!
I was having issues with sd card access with certain apps. It may have been because they have not been updated to use the new permission but I went ahead and did the platform.xml change and all is well again. I know it shouldn't be required, but it works.
The problem that I'm having last 2 day's is that I get a random message Simcard Removed. Phone freezes until I reboot it again. Very strange because the rom ( echoe lolipop 5.0 ) is now for almost two weeks on the S4 and worked flawlessly
Only thing I have changed , or added is the app android wear because my kids gave me a smartwatch for Christmass .

Hello everyone,
I have my Huawei Ascend Mate 7 for two months now and I noticed a strange problem : Push notifications of certain apps not working. Only on data while screen is off. Apps like Whatsapp for exemple. If I turn on the screen on or if I press a button (even just "volume up") the notification arrives. Whatsapp is set as "authorized" in the notifications manager. The app is also checked in "protected apps". I use "Normal" mode as Energy profile. Data is set to "always on" in Network menu.
Gmail seems to work correctly on data. Everything works absolutely fine on Wi-Fi.
It seems like certain push notifications "fall aslepp" immediately after the screen has turned off and arrive if I wake the phone up by simply press a button.
Any ideas on what is going on ? It's a very annoying problem. I had an HTC One M8 before and everything worked fine...
Thanks in advance for your help. I precise that I am french, I do my best in English !

Can you be specific which apps not coming through ? Check what apps you have and you want to enable..
Do you have apps which will OVERRIDE your phone settings? And you have no idea what those apps enabling and putting in sleep..

The same problem happend for my,
Also the gmail app working good when turn screen off.
no push Notifications for certain app's like WhatsApp, Instgram, and others apps.
what is the best way to contect with Huawei?
Could this be because the apps are set to sleep when the screen is off (I.e. protected apps)?
Thus they fire into action as soon as the screen is on?
Guys check in actual app or in settings / manage apps and check individual app if notifications are ticked/on ..

They are ticked /on.
I made some screenshots attached to this post to show you the different settings I have.
I precise again that all these apps have completely normal behavior on Wifi. The problem only occurs on data. I didn’t have this problem on my HTC One M8, Nexus 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4.
It’s very annoying because Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is an excellent smartphone !
I don’t know what to do…

I knew you have one thing wrong ...
You in your 4th picture u have all apps set to notify .. that is WRONG ....
The notify in this case doesn't mean that they will notify you but it will notify pop up if u want allow app push notifications ..
So change desired apps from notify to allow .. ! that is why you not receiving them ..
Check which apps u want 100% allow and the res you trust less select notify ..
In fact, I tried both. "Notify" and "Allow". Beside, the system asked if I wanted to authorize the app to display messages, so I tried that but nothing has changed. I tried to return to "notify" just to see, that's why it's set like that on my screenshots.
Thank you for your help !

Leave it to allow and restart phone ..
I set Whatsapp as "Allowed" and restarted the phone. I waited a few seconds till the screen turn off. I send a message to myself with another phone & another account. Nothing happens. The screen stays off. I wait a few minutes, I turn on the screen and bam, the message appears ! This is the behavior on data.
On Wi-fi, when I do the exact same thing, the screen wakes up and I receive the message immediately .
So the problem is still here... Very strange...

I'm using my Note 3 settings and translating from dutch to english so it might be different for you, but nevertheless it could help:

That's when my push messages started coming in again.
Just hope it helps.

I don't know if the exact same option exist on Huawei phones, but it could be this : "Enable always-on mobile data" in the Mobile Network Settings menu as shown on the attached screenshot...
I tried Push Notification Fixer (non-root version cause my phone is not rooted) and it doesn't solve the issue. But I don't think it could cause it's not about disconnection after some time like the problem that PNF fixes, it occurs as soon as the screen is off.
I'm not quite sure if it is an Android/Huawei issue or a WhatsApp issue. But this strange behavior occurs with at least 3 other apps so I think it's rather a system issue.
It's a bit confusing. Anyway, thank you all for your contribution !
If you can find this settings page in your phone try the 'menu' button to look if there's something similar i described (always synchronize etc...)
