Hi, I've noticed here in the UK, update support has been a lot more sparse compared to India and was wondering if my RMX2075 could install an RMX2076PU ROM, they recently uploaded on the UK website with A.22 which was RMX2076EU.
If I downloaded a .ozip from the Indian website, what would happen? Would I lose my data? Is it possible to interchange and switch between PU, EU and RMX2075 ROMs freely as to whichever gets the update first.
Thanks a lot
- Josh
That's the one i installed on my phone. I had the Rmx2075 A.18 when i opened the box and upgraded using the RMX2076EU A.22 on the uk website...
https://www.realme.com/eu/support/software-update
It went ok and still shows rmx2075 A.22

I tried to install the RMX2076PU A.25 from the indian website but it keeps coming up corrupt file....
Even when i try to extract it on pc, winrar says corrupt file...
I wanted to try this rom as it has a newer security patch.....

Just downloaded and installed RMX2076EU A.28 firmware from website... Hope this fixes my issues..
Phone still shows RMX2075 though.. I wonder if its because I have a single SIM... [emoji848].

I'm also single SIM. Seems safe to say that just using EU ROMs from the EU Software page seems like it should work.
Thanks a lot, I'm gonna install it now and just use the EU page.

I also got that update, it's still not on any of them nor the UK, that one is still A.22 lol.
I installed it as soon as it came through and the change log was very similar (if not identical) to A.28

Just got the release for A.32 on RMX2075
Hi Guys,
I know it's been a while on this thread. But wondering, with Android 11 beta released for Indian variants of the phone. Is it possible to flash an Indian ROM over here on the RMX2075 / EU phones?
Thanks - Josh
i was wondering if i can install a EU on a PU version. Ive a EU device with a PU rom installed i want to have EU back.
Can I just go in recovery and flash a EU version?
my PU IS 11.A.41
EU is at 11.a.42
From my experience, flashing PU ok is not good : FP scanner doesn't work anymore after doing that, even after i flash back EU version. And when trying Android11 PU update, it's worse: there's all camera that doesn't work (crash at launch). If somebody knows how to restore the FP scanner, let me know..

GM1900 comes officially with HydrogenOS. And no, the updates aren't the same.
To convert to global you just need to install OxygenOS with official updater app. And you are good to go. You also won't have limitations than.
To install OxygenOS download the update zip HERE!
2. copy it to the root of internal storage
3. Go to settings, system and system updates.
4. Press the settings icon
5. Local update and choose the OxygenOS update.zip
6. Let it install and reboot after that.

I've done quite a bit of research into this. It's not a simple process as for example Xiaomi.
It will involve resizing the system partition among other partitions.

No sorry, this was a tangent regarding the RMX2075 (UK) getting the RMX2076EU update which was posted on the UK site.
Probably they just named it wrong. Sorry, I don't have the RMX2017 (CN) (but isn't it 2071 lol).
Just as an interest, what's wrong with the CN version?

As per my first analysis, RM2071 (CN) did not bring the majority of the languages (in my case, I need PT), just CN, EN and other two or three asian languages. It does not have Google Play store although it is possible to install it separatedly.
Finally there are many CN apps that comes together and when using EN, some untranslated texts in CN are still appearing in many screens.

Disappointed with Chinese Rom
I also own a RMX2071 version.
To be honest I'm disappointed as my expectations with this phone were too high.
Here are my remarks:
Breeno is only in Chinese and you cannot download EU voices,
Global search is only retrieving Chinese news,
Impossible to fully replace Breeno with Google Assistant (shortcut will still launch Breeno instead of GA, GA will not produce notification sound when activated...)
Some software and some rare options are not translated in my language (I set the FR language and still Chinese texte)
Security check is done for all app you are downloading from Google store (which leads sometimes to Play Store crash)
Google Chrome is freezing from time to time
I need to switch mobile data off and on to get back internet (specially after leaving the phone locked for a while).
I need to switch mobile data off and on right after a call or I'll not be able to get Internet...
Regards

No idea. I still have it.
However, in the past when I've updated I've ended up with a Theme Store (didn't work, but it was there!) Then on the next update, it's gone.

You could try flashing a different region version eg. Oppo Australia website has A23 available for download, flash that over your current version (you won't lose anything).
It's very strange you don't have it as it's a very basic default menu setting.
The Region setting is ROM specific, in the UK the region option isn't there with contract devices as it's running UK carrier ROM which doesn't need another region

But surely the ability to change the region is still required, people travel with their phones all the time and need to be able to change to the country they are in.

Although I understand your point of view, unfortunately I don't work for the ColorOS team, I can only tell you why the setting isn't present in the ROM not why they haven't implemented it
If it is because it's carrier specific ROM, then all you can do, as I mentioned, is turn off auto update and wait for the next global release to appear, and flash that from the website. Global ROM has the region settings. Don't use OTA until you have the global 'clean' ROM installed
Hello,
I have the same problem, (UK unlocked)
I spoke to a lady from oppo on Friday morning who called me back later and told me to wait for the next update as they know of some "glitches" in the software the Region setting disappearing being one of them.
Hope this helps?
But we can't get the updates because of the region is gone, installing a different firmware doesn't bring it back either
Where can I find the global ROM?

Do you know of a global ROM I can install via the recovery?
The last version I know of is Australia .23
the roll back version is .25
But until oppo send out an interim update you will not gain Region setting, if you try it will fail if your software number is higher
It's all down to oppo I'm afraid.

Exectly but I got a fix for that, the NEW rollback file is A.25 , the bugged rollback file was A.23,
So the old rollback file had issues with sim, so I flashed the new rollback file and it fixed that problem, so then I flashed the old rollback file again and it doesn't give me sim issues no more but still have A.23 and yes now flashing other A.23s work now but still no ota updates via vpn

As stated in the title, I am planning to buy the Chinese variant which has hydrogen os for it. But the hydrogen os lack of the google play store so I want to locally upgrade it to Oxygen OS. Yet currently this forum still hasn't got any post regarding Oxygen OS OTA for this device.
ATM, I don't know an official download source for 8T OOS. https://www.oneplus.com/de/support/softwareupgrade is still empty (no 8T), each update for my 8T comes direct OTA onto the phone https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/oxygen-oneplus-8t-11-0-2-3.1333369/
Maybe it works, when you use the unbrick tool to "restore" your China device to OOS, but don't sue me when this kills your phone.
Hey, there are already OTA zips available for EU region, just not on OnePlus' website. The OP of this thread has them uploaded here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-8t/how-to/guide-how-to-root-oneplus8t-kb2001-t4178675
You don't need to root, just download the EU zip and do a local upgrade. Do note that Global ROM (North America/NA) is now hosted on a dynamic googleapis server, hence people were unable to extract the OTA zip download link. EU variant works just fine.
I flashed the EU one over my chinese variant 2 days ago and all went well.
Adding on to what @zellleonhart said, after cross flashing, it would be better to format data via recovery once. It's not necessary at all, but I experienced some minor glitches and were fixed by formatting.
Good luck!

Google Dialer, same as NA or IN variant. Yes you'll get Ota updates as well, usually latest by 2nd or 3rd day after IN variant received it. For 11.0.5.6 it was same day.

I have a CPH2025 running CW though I purchased it from Amazon UK and can confirm it's Unlocked Network wise, is there no way of flashing just a Global CPH2025 to it so I'm able to get updates quicker?
Nope
There's a flashing tool used by Oppo, Realme and OnePlus phones called MSN Download Tool.
It's what they use internally and there are always leaked / cracked versions available for OnePlus, but not so much Oppo. IF you managed to find the right version you could in theory change your software version. You'd need the tool and .ofp file (which is the full firmware).
I have a couple of cracked versions of the tool and OFP files that I stumbled across when trying to convert my Chinese version to global, but not willing to try on my CPH2025 in case I brick it (plus I have the global version so nothing to gain by doing so). Sure Oppo would reflash under warranty if you could be bothered with the inconvenience of not having a phone for a week.

Unlikely, there are only a few leaked versions of the full firmware, I have found A14 and A29, as ColorOS 11 isn't even out yet is say there is zero chance of getting a leaked version that someone has cracked.... Just have to wait.
It is actually possible to change to global! I put a small tutorial up on Twitter to show you how to do it.

Does it factory reset the phone? How is 4g/5g performance when you switch regions? I imagine Singapore would use different bands... And how does it look with Google Pay, certifications, Widevine etc?
Update: Never mind, tried it, the *# code is actually for a realme device, can't find one specific to Find X2 or X2 Pro, and have no idea if there is a way to extract a list of those secret codes from the device itself...

The *# works on the Find X2 Pro. It's not Realme-specific. Google Pay still works for me and didn't notice any mobile data difference. No factory reset either
I've tried and it works. Changed the region a few times, tried Singapore, UK, then the multi-language E - all worked fine. It even disabled and enabled region specificNone of them have me a ColorOS 11 update though which is why I was doing it.
However, I changed to Thailand True and now this procedure doesn't work. Now stuck on Thailand ?. My fault for playing too much!

Thanks for the post Adam, you've made a lot of people very happy. This change in regional settings had enabled people to get ColorOS 11 early, replace carrier specific software for a more generic version, get features like the Theme Store and call recording working and even opened up the possibility of having dual SIM on a single SIM variant!
Cheers buddy! ?
