USB Disconnected while using MSM to Rebrand back to Tmobile - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi guys, I have the OnePlus 7 Pro US Model GM1915 8GB RAM 256GB ROM T-Mobile Unlocked Single SIM
It was soft bricked, stuck in the bootloader, so I was using the MSM here https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...obile-one-plus-7-pro-msm-tool-revert-t3936528 to rebrand back to stock. While it was about halfway through, the USB Disconnected and the MSM failed. Now it isn't recognizing the phone when I try to enter EDL (Using the volume up and down while off). Anything else I can try, or am I screwed?

oneplus nord doesn't boot in EDL mode.

Hello,
I've ****ed up my op nord.
The phone was running lineage 17.1 verison 29-7, I did a lock of the bootloader.
Now it's locked with the message 'your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot.'
When I try to boot as with the power/volume up combo it show the 'Qualcomm CrashDumpMode screen
I tried to unbrick it using the EDL method, but the phone doesn't boot in EDL mode.
I've followed the instructions as written on https://www.getdroidtips.com/unbrick-oneplus-nord/.
However, the phone doesn't boot in EDL mode.
Any suggestions how to proceed?
Hi,
I facing same issue with OnePlus 9R device. I found on internet that EDL can be triggered from hardware as well. So there’s still a hope.
In case if you have resolved this issue, please let me know

Try MSM again, on a different PC and with a different USB cable *if* you can.
Aside from that contact OnePlus.
Was this your first time using MS download tool? Have you succesfully flashed to stock with MSM before?

How to determine OnePlus 8T region?

Hi all,
After en epic failure of rooting process my OnePlus 8T is bricked: no bootloader, no fastboot, no recovery, nothing. The phone screen stays black and power button has no effect.
However, it can enter EDL mode and is recognized as "Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E" in in Windows device manager. So I should be able to use MSMDownload Tool to (try to) unbrick my phone.
Just one problem: I don't really know if my phone is EU version or Global version.
In its back, its written "Model: KB2003" so it should be EU version right? But before bricking it, I've tried to flash Global version... which bricked it (I don't know if that's the reason or if I made an other mistake but...).
Do you know how can I guess the region of my OnePlus 8T?
And if I flash Global version with MSMDownload Tool while I have an EU phone (or inverse), is it dangerous?
Thanks a lot for your help!
KB2003 is the EU version. So best to use the EU MSM tool.
Hi @Qnorsten
Well, I tought my phone was Global so I used Global MSM... The process was a bit weird:
- Global MSM Download Tool restored my phone on Android 11
- once on Android home several updates have been found and one of these updates was KB2005_11_***** (and after this update my phone was recognized as "Model: KB2005" :]
- but after remaining updates (I think there were 5 or 6 consecutive updates) my phone is now on KB2003_11_C.33 and recognized as "Model: KB2003"
So this OP8T has been restored on Global OS, then updated on US OS and finally returned to EU OS :]
Weird but it's a good ending

Yes definitely I really though my phone was dead.
When I set it to EDL mode, it stayed in this mode only 12 seconds then switched to "Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E" state.
I tried to run MSMDownload Tool during these 12 seconds (I knew the process was longer than 12 seconds but as my phone seemed dead I guessed maybe the bootloader could be restored during these 12 seconds).
But starting the process allowed the phone to stay "stuck" in EDL mode.
Good experience. But now I won't try to root my phone once again.

Question Unroot T-Mobile OP9

I have a US T-Mobile OP9 that I rooted by flashing a patched boot image through Magisk. I haven't been able to update it since I rooted it on C.16....... if I restore images and try to take the update it says there's an installation problem.
I thought I would be able to uproot but haven't been able to figure that out. And heard if we use MSM tool we can go back to stock ROM but I haven't been able to get MSM tool connected through EDL, it always says waiting for connection.
Any help would be appreciated
You could try relocking the bootloader after a full Magisk uninstall. I had the same error on LE2115 after only unlocking the bootloader and had to use MSM.
For the MSM connection, make sure you have the right drivers installed, and using a OnePlus brand USB-A cable on a USB2.0 slot. Hit the start button before plugging in the phone and from an off state, hold both volume buttons while plugging it in.

Question Hard Bricked OnePlus 9 (LE2113) HELP!!

I hard bricked my OnePlus 9 (LE2113) while I was trying to unlock the bootloader. I tried flashing with Global, EU and Indian variants of MSM Tools but none of them worked.
I'm holding Power and Vol Up to reboot, then I hold Up and Down Volume buttons, plug in with USB cable and start MSM Tool. Every time I try to flash with "Use LIte Firehose" unchecked I always get the "Sahara communication" error at exactly 18 seconds. With "Use LIte Firehose" checked however download completes normally but phone is still hard bricked. This happened on every MSM Tool I tried.
I tried this on two laptops (Win 10 with USB 2.0 ports & WIn 11 with USB 3.0 ports) but ended up with the same results. I'm also using official cable. I have Qualcomm drivers installed.
Can anyone help me? Phone is hard bricked. I can't access anything besides EDL.
Just noticed this thread after your comment in the MSM thread.
Please review my reply. In a nutshell, I bricked my OP9 to a point nothing would work, tried everything for days. Thankfully, EtherealRemnant told me about a specific MSMToolkit for Indian OP9Pros that would get my phone up and running and then be able to flash a proper OP9.
I just compressed it and uploaded it for you, in case you haven't grabbed it yet. Its hosted on mega, so the download should be acceptable wherever you reside on this dirty space ball we call home.
IndianOP9-ProMSM aka The Last Hope
And again, good luck, you got this!

I managed to flash with Lite Firehose but phone is still dead. I had some issues with phone being recognized but it somehow connected. I have also noticed that device under Ports (COM & LPT) is being recognized even after unpluging the phone, weirdly.
deleted because double post sorry
your device is an eu model i would not answer it with the india msm tool or the modded msm tool, you should get it to work with the eu msm tool
I don't know to what extent the modded msm tool has been processed (my concern is that if certain data on the mobile phone is changed from eu to india, I am concerned that the eu msm tool will no longer work with the eu mobile phone afterwards because certain data now identify cell phone as india model)
