Is there an app that will enable wifi based on a specific GPS Location?
Example:
- When I'm home, enable wifi and connect to my internal network.
- When I'm at work, enable wifi and connect to my works network.

Do you mean tethering or reverse tethering ?
If it's tethering just go to your wireless settings and thether

dude, i found a solution.... download a software called "fast file transfer" from play store.it can send data from one device to another using wifi. it does not require any intermediate router connections. direct transfer of data. Moreover its enough that anyone device have this software.the other device should just have wifi , thats enough. but any one mobile must be having the wifi hotspot option.
Hi all,
I'm looking for a way of turning my droid device into a portable Hotspot but using my existing BT Connection.
Essentially, I connect to BT OpenZone to access the internet. I have other devices I want to connect to the internet but they don't have browser options to login to BT Openzone.
So is there anyway I can use my droid as a hotspot without using mobile data.
Many thanks.

You could try:
- installing BTWifi app to auto-login to BTWifi hotspots
- setting up Android wifi hotspot on your android device
- turning off mobile data on your 2G/3G/4G connection
- setting up your other devices to connect to the Android wifi hotspot on your device
- keep your device plugged in to the mains for as long as possible
If you are rooted and running a custom rom like CM11, firewalls like AFWall+ give you even more options
Hello I'm sorry if this is in the wrong spot, but I am new to these forms and I have a simple question about creating an access point on my tablet. My Lenovo tablet is rooted and I've been searching for an app that will create an access point.
What I want to do is use my wifi and then use my tablet to connect to that wifi and then use the tablet as a wifi extender. I know they have fqrouter2, but that is for any os under 4.4. I'm currently on 4.4.4. Any suggestions for an app that can turn my android device into a wifi extender?
Thank you in advance.

Have you tried PDAnet for tablets, or Foxfi?
Sent from my SM-S903VL using Tapatalk
Yes I have tried Pdanet. That will disconnect me off of my current wifi and try to host a hotspot off of my own cell phone data.

I don't think it's possible to have both WiFi and WiFi hotspot turned on simultaneously.
What I do though, is connect my phone to the WiFi, then use the Bluetooth tethering feature on the phone to create the access point. That could work for you, if all your devices support Bluetooth tethering.
The range isn't as good as your WiFi router, but its roughly as good as the WiFi AP you'd create with your phone/tablet
There use to be an app that was called Fqrouter2 that did. Unfortunately my worthless Vita doesn't support Bluetooth tethering for internet access.
