normally its just in the centre wif 2 black borders at the side.
your videos need tobee 400x240px in resolution to show up full screen. use a high qaulity divx converter to get the resolution and qaulity and use corplayer to play them

u mean i have to download the converter and than convert it and play from corplayer? cant i use my original player?
core player is a freeware (not the one with the phone)
look for TCPMP
if you dont use an encoder the videos youll most likely get will be vga or qvga. to got the full widescreen thing you need to encode it personally, youchplayer will play them okay

Screen mirroring is done by the system, so it would be handled there. Not sure if the app can pick up on this... @bleu8888 ?
Also, how are you mirroring? HDMI, Miracast... etc Depending on the method, the answer may differ.
Let me start from the beginning. I have a galaxy s5 on 5.0 lollipop. I use said phone to run showbox. Before I upgraded to 5.0 about a month ago showbox gave me the option to choose the external video player I wanted to use, which was vlc player. Whenever I used vlc player while I used wifi screen mirroring(the built in feature) the screen would just have video controls on it, ie pause, play, rewind etc but the video didn't play on my phone screen while still sending the video to the tv thus conserving power on my phone.
VLC has beta Chromecast support; Chromecast =/= mirror. Mirror means both screens show the same thing; Chromecast means the video is only rendered on hte output device.

So I get it that this feature is not supported on Mx player?

I believe this feature would be supported in near future.

Hi guys, is there any app to watch videos from phone in samsung store? I use video player but cant play video from my samsung. VP plays sound, but black screen.
I use Video Player S2 too. Sometimes it can't play full HD movies. You have to record your video in lower resolution or shrink it after to lower resolution with some tool to manage video stuff.

When I watch a video using MX Player Pro, the screen stops before the notch and nothing I do will bring it over it.
Youtube is able to go over so it seems it's a software issue, has anyone been able to solve it?

I also bought mxplayer pro but i switched to vlc waiting developers to correct their mistake
if your phone is rooted you can use Aspo Mods and turn off ignore the camera cutout and all videos etc now have full screen
