He also gave me a 1.16GB update and I thought it was an Android update, the funny thing is that since March I did not update because I had installed the Root Magisk, but today if I allowed the update and when I finished and restarted, I no longer had the magisk installed, in a few minutes I will reinstall it
so, not wanting to be general, but maybe the 1+GB of update is for people last on the party?, Hope this update fixes the horrid ram management of last update Wich changed all app optimizations making all of them die on background...

I don't think so.
I got the notificaion and downloaded the OTA zip.
But installation failed and after device restart I got a popup stating the same.
And now everytime I check for Update I get Already up to date message.
I still have same simcards as before. I am still on Same WiFi network as before.

According to my info Build Number 107-70 supports Volte for Moto X Play,
But i have not received any update & my built number is 107-52.
A new 107-52 xt1563 firmware is on filefactory.com. I hope the other ones (asia/eu) will there be soon too

Good news for Huawei P9 owners, we are giving some of you the chance to help us test out EMUI 5 and Android N on your Huawei P9.
Sounds great yeah? Just remember this is going to be pre-release software, things may be broken, you may end up struggling to use your phone, but that's all good we want you to help us find & squash the bugs.
So what do you need to do to get the new stuff on your phone? Well that is easy, you install an app, enroll on the project and then towards the end of the month we will be pushing out the OTA to those that have had their applications approved (First 200).
So what do you need?
- An open market (unlocked) version of Huawei P9 (Eva-L09)
- To be based in the UK.
- To have an active SIM card in your phone.
- To be on build number C432B166 (Latest UK open market firmware)
- It cannot be bootloader unlocked, it cannot have a custom recovery or be rooted to receive the OTA.
You can get the APK for the BETA app & the guidelines for how to install and enrol from here (sorry we can't post links yet.....) "h t t p://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=91768&version=358232&siteCode=uk"
Once downloaded install it on your phone, when you run the app on your phone you will be prompted to either log into an existing Huawei ID account (the one you use to download EMUI themes will do) or to create a new one, once done you can accept the terms
To enroll on the BETA test you will need to be on build number C432B166 (for UK), after your enrollment and approval, an OTA to update UK Huawei P9 from C432B166-> C432B182 will be prompted. Once you are on C432B182, you will get the N version on Beta release.
Numbers are limited, when we hit the limit of enrolled users that is it. This is a project to help find bugs and issues before the general rollout of future updates for the Huawei P9. It is not a general public rollout.

I have it on very good authority they are testing a solution and this should be made public soon (assuming the testing goes ok)
I'm on c432b182 in the UK with an unlocked handset. Registered on previous link. No update over the last week for me.
Downloaded the beta app above and installed but when I try to log in it says failes

Two full days so far, not one blip, everything has worked perfectly, however I didn't reset, just installed over, once the fix for the beta app is out,, ill do a fresh start and push out harder.

I cannot use my fingerprint to unlock anymore....everytime I use gesture to lock screen. after using fingerprint to unlock it always asks for password.
Said "Device administrator locked device"
How do I turn this off? Is it kind of security on Android N?
PS. Using Nova Launcher and already tried using most of screen lock apps in the store.

I flashed the system, boot and recovery images of the last fastboot ROM, did the OTA and rooted again. Or you can wait for someone to make a flashable zip.

I don't know whether this is the October 2016 patch or not, infact it says October 1, 2016 in About phone.
After flashing the VoLTE is not working.
It worked previously with Jio. Now it's not working.
Can any one help me with this?

This is a general section for general discussion. If I had a link I would have posted it in different section. Because of this thread you get to know there is security patch OTA. And then you can look for it if you want it.

I have just updated to Jan 2020 security update. Taking 108M picture is very fast. It seems the border blur issue is much better now.

Mine is EEA Global. It seems EEA version updates faster than the others.
I have the 12/512 CN Version flashed to the EU region. I got an update(2.9gb), it says cannot load mirrors. Is it because of the version that is flashed?
If I have to do it manually, where do I go to get the Update?

The phone boots and I see my background, the fingerprint reader icon but the phone flickers and I cant really do anything. Anyone else?
I actually completed the update yesterday. I guess the servers were overloaded. It is working very good for me. Over than the fact that I can't use gestures outside of the MIUI Launcher.

I've tried OTA update first time around. As soon as it restarted it started to flicker and not respond.
Then I did a wipe from stock recovery. All good with everything until everything got restored to the phone, I decided to do a restart just to have everything land. Same result after the restart.
I unlocked bootloader and did a full clean install - all good untill i did my first restart.
I'm starting to think that its something else and in my case that the issue could be my applications/settings? That when everything is restored and re-installed etc, it bums out the phone for some reason.

Same here. I wished I can downgrade back to Android 10. Anti Rollback is blocking it though. Hesitant to do use a custom recovery since I might brick the phone.
