Probability of rooting (magisk) on this device? - OPPO Find X2 Pro Questions & Answers

What would you say the probability of getting an unlocked bootloader, magisk and twrp on the find X2 Pro is?

I'd like to think someone may find an exploit. Or the manufacturer would allow unlocking once the device is no longer supported by Oppo.
At least with ADB PM SHELL a lot of root type access can be allowed without explicitly allowing root.

I thought only Huawei disallowed unlocked bootloaders but seems like OPPO is similar in this regard too!
I have a realme 6 pro also which cannot be rooted either

Any chance to root device without unlocking bootloader?

Hi, guys and girls... Welcome to Huawei jail problem ?
Since i bought my device after Huawei locked our bootloaders forever and i didn't know that fact, Now i need root so badly.. i missing some tweaks from my other devices... Is there any chance to root this phone without unlocking bootloader?
They locked bootloaders? I just bought one yesterday. I may still be able to take it back and if they've locked the bootloader, I'd be very tempted to do just that. GRRR
Not a chance
Took my phone back, have a Moto G6 Plus now.

i continue this thread because i have some interesting information found on a chinese board:
https://club.huawei.com/thread-4790911-1-1.html
they say it would be possible to root your device (even p20 as long as it doesnt have the mediatek chipset, which many of us apparently wont have since most of us apparently stuck with hisilicon kirin 970). they are going in the direction of using apps like 360root and such. i tried 360root with p20 eml-l29 8.10.128 without success, even tried iroot, kingroot, kingoroot, superroot and root master.
but.. you know guys, i know that rooting means to use security vulnerabilities in android generally and kernel. at the moment i try to use different kind of versions on my phone in order to find one that *does* match to the security vulnerabilities of one of the rootapps try to use. you see, when a newer version gets released many security vulnerabilities are getting patched. but this means at the same time, others are going to appear often (if it wouldnt be this way, we would only need 1 security patch for all times forever and everything is fine voila perfect secure device with all best features - but this will most likely never happen). even if they are fixing more and more security holes, we cant forget the fact that kingroot, iroot, 360root is still continuing their work as well. so as maybe today no root is possible for this devices, you can expect them still trying new ways to achieve this goal, which means that there is still hope for the future (but well, i would only wait 1 year since i would then buy a new phone since is then already 2 yrs old )

Possible to root?

Hey,
Is it possible to root trt-lx1? i tried all free one click apps but they don't work
I would prefer a root without unlocked bootloader but if its only possible with unlocking it its fine but i don't want to pay for it :/
Any way possible?
thanks
Guess not?
You cannot root a device without unlocking the bootloader first
Officially you can not unlock the bootloader of any Huawei device as Huawei shut down their bootloader unlocked code site claiming it will give users better stability user experience & security
Obviously that's all rubbish (with the exception of security in parts) & the real reason is they want full control over your device
Some older Huawei devices can be bootloader unlocked using old firmware before Huawei patched it to make the "hack" that allowed bootloader unlocking possible without their site - please search Google or look through the forum to see if this applies to your device (but you will probably need to downgrade firmware if that's possible)
This is also the likely reason why Huawei xda forums for this device is dead

In need of a root Huawei

Hello,
As my title states I need a Huawei device currently in the market that allows me to root it. I dont mind If I have to pay for unlocking the bootloader as long as the job can be done.
I already tried rooting a P10 using the short pin methoth to unlock its bootloader. While BL was unlocked I was not able to proceed with root due to its up-to-date security patch ( I guess). I have also a Y9 2019 and an Honor 8X which botloader unlock method was not existing (again, I guess).
What devices are you suggesting?
AFAIK Huawei already in 2018 has stopped permission of boot-loader unlocking.

Hi jwoegerbauer, thank for your reply.
Thats true but I have seen several work arounds. Maybe one specific model can be easier to unlock than others.

dont CAP @ me. provide your proof/source of root on mate 30 pro.
or lets not have a serious discussion... stop trolling and giving false hope to someone asking for help for someone with so many comments and a know it all attitude your being pretty unhelpful and seemingly petty. laugh react all you want, to obtain root you either need an exploit or an unlocked bootloader neither if which is available for the mate 30 pro. again feel free to PROVE me wrong.
To keep you updated: A phone's Android is rooted when switch-user ( AKA SU ) - binary is present and accessible.
Again: It's nonsense to tell here that an exploit or even an unlocked bootloader is necessary to have a phone's Android rooted.
BTW: Smart users replace the restricted Toybox with a non-restricted Toybox - means what has the SU cmdlet inbuilt.
generally speaking the easiest way of achieving root is through unlocking the bootloader and then installing a custom recovery and then flashing su binary to gain root. how do you change anything in the system partition if it remains read only, ive seen your other comments on others looking to achieve root, all the help you seem to offer is change current toybox with toybox 0.8.5 but no insight on procedure or information to do so.
as for saying google it, it dose not provide any clear information even when digging.
I myself would love to have my 2 mate 30 pro's rooted and have searched for solutions for the last year+
this is a forum to help and educate so there is no need to be condescending
if this is so easy for you, how do you achieve this? what steps would one need to take to achieve this themselves? where to find the information if you do not want to explain yourself?
what use is it to comment its possible figure it out?

Huawei P30 GSI / Project Treble possible?

Hi,
After almost 2 years of owning this awesome device, not even once i stumbled upon any rom or root solution for it. Now after all that time being desperate for any development on this device, I come here for an opinion, answer or any idea how to get anything written above on this device.
So, I read some things about GSI roms being able to work on any device without porting and all that. I immediately downloaded the app called Treble Check and it said P30 is supported. So it got me thinking, in THEORY if somehow i got mine P30s bootloader unlocked, or if someone unlocked it before Huawei stopped unlocking bootloader, IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET GSI ROM WORKING, AND HOW?
If it is, is there any, even shady source to get the bootloader unlocked?
Bonus question if all this isn't possible: How to get EMUI 12 Beta Project in Serbia thru Beta app? Carrier locked model. ELE-L29.
Thanks.
I actually tried it, but stopped using it due to problems such as FOD coordinates and Volte.
Also, if you install GSI, your PC will not be able to recognize your device.
The boot loader was unlocked using DC Phoenix and hcu-client.
