This creepy device was launched 7 years ago and the experience while using is a horrible one. I've never found someone making a CM or any other AOSP based ROM for this device. Thought this is not used by anyone at home , I just wanted make some use out of it. I request everyone of you that if it is possible for you to port any AOSP rom to this device then please do it.
All Devs who has tried to create a working Rom of CM 11 or higher have stopped after a short time.

Hello there , I want to ask about custom Roms as cyanogen mod and PAC and all those teams out there.
First of all ,, the android that they make is similary to the stock one that I can get it from Google website to open it on jdk simulator. Then what is the deal in making custom roms??
And what about Samsung Galaxy Roms features.. Are they closed source? So there is no one can steel there features and use them in other Roms ???
I wish some one answer me because I am so confused about this .. Thanks

So to start from my understanding of the beginning, Samsung or HTC or LG and such will plan out a device, they put all the stuff they want on it ( as in the battery size, the specific GPU and CPU), and towards the end they slap on what version of android they want. this android is Stock like what you see with cyanogenmod or Aosp roms ( they are almost stock but with a few modifications like CPU governors and I/Os) from there they are able to put in all the features they want to feature on the device (so if you think about it, Samsung makes their own Custom rom for the phones but its very professional and are made for the General population where we are the few developers that aren't very professional.) like for Samsung, you will only see S Memo on Samsung phones (so yes Samsung Features are closed source if you develop a rom you are able to put features that come from the Stock rom you get when you buy the phone.), its possible to put s memo on other devices like one of HTC's, but is sorta illegal since Samsung owns s memo. for custom roms, we as developers are able to put stock android features into a rom because Google made android open source. (its not quite open source in some areas) now if you have a Samsung phone and want to make a rom based on Touchwiz (the normal Samsung Ui) or HTC phone and want to base a rom off Sense (Htc's Ui) we are allowed to do this only on these specific phones, otherwise making a Sense rom on a Samsung phone would be illegal and they would ask you to take down a download link. im sorry you had to hear me rant and i hope this made sense! if it sounds like i left anything out please ask.
OK I understood a part, but im still confused about Cyanogen mod part .. I mean what is that thing that they do and others cant do so every Dev make a ROM sayed it based on Cyanogen mod ??

Its possible to port if you have a base rom available for your device. I'm saying this because every port guide or rom I've come across had a base rom. So you actually have something to base it off. (Work on).
If I am wrong, please excuse me. Maybe someone experienced with porting can perhaps explain your question in detail and provide a few tips on getting started.

Where's their source repository?
When they release the ROM for the N10 and with it the source then it should be possible unless they have done something really peculiar. There is no way of knowing anything yet for sure though because it's not released.
REMIX ROM
I donated to the Kickstarter and will get a copy of the ROM, but am a NUBE to making one rom for our Machine. I will send my copy to any SUPER editor and count me in as a tester.
Should get it in May. Interesting the way they put up to 3 Apps side by side for multiwindow support.

I don't know if this would help anyone, but for the N7 grouper, someone created a similar OS to RemixOS called PhoenixOS. You can find the link for it in this thread:

I tried it today on my N7 and it brought it back to life really well. The main issue most people had (and one developer was able to figure out for the last release, not current) was finding a way to get google play store on their device.
Hi. I have Tab 3 lite or SMT113. it was vanilla but i decided to root and just install custom roms as it was just very old. First i bricked it but i used a pc to get official firmware back and then rooted again using kingroot and installed twrp. I installed the latest custom rom for this tab which was Lineageos 14.1 based on Androud 7.1.2. However i didnt like it as it seemed like there was no use of Gpu acceleration and it was very laggy. I m looking for a rom that is android 7+ or android 6 or above. Can anyone please help its kinda my only device. I may be getting a new one but PLEASE someone make a rom for this thing. Android kitkat is starting to lose support for some apps. I m using Fyrestone rom something which is better then stock but still looking for better roms with android 6+. I went on a few forums but they all are dead. Android 8.1.0 is not working and the links have been removed. Even CM11 threads and Android 9 are dead. pLease help users like me who have this device as their only device

Hi , I'm a Galaxy A51 user with 6GB RAM and 128GB Storage. I've been facing alot of lag and freeze and slow animations with Android 11 and the downgrade to Android 10 is no longer possible.
So I'm looking for a stable Custom ROM (Camera , Fingerprints working etc ... ) .

you have a powerhouse.....you should not be facing lag at all so that in itself is weird and yea it could be the os
Custom rom suggestions could be suggestive, why not visit the awesome threads by our devs on here and see which one you like.....thats what xda is about after all.
Your device especially is spoilt for choice with one ui ports and a dev is even planning on android 12 support.

all in all you asked for suggestions and mine is always lineage os...and i can see your device is supported by the latest lineage 18.1 so unofficial builds are unnecessary but since your device is samsung i would HIGHLY suggest you go for a port (by port i mean those one ui 3.x roms that still give u that samsung look and feel) Lineage strips your samsung completely and i find that to be an injustice cause samsung one ui is quite beautiful and since your device has a port of one ui(unlike mine)....go for it dont go for lineage.
Am a hundred percent sure not all are buggy....and just flash one that catches your eye and give it a spin.
