Anything that I am doing to my build.prop file is actually not helping at all the upload speed.
Anyone got a good set of build.prop settings for their NS?

you can find here:/system/bin/vold,how to open it on pc
I use notepad ++, its awesome and will open most config files in a rom, like the vold.fstab you are trying to open.
here is the website for info : http://notepad-plus-plus.org/
and the downloads section, for windows : http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v5.9.8.html

WHY ? to edit these things ? this rom is made by you for sure ? if not this is FAKE
any rom is made by Google&Co + Linux&Co + Manufacturer so they have 99 % credits
more than that is not just about editing .prop files
i.e. to change Kernel version you need to compile Linux kernel on a Linux machine named DELL164 by the user dpi (here is to change names etc)
yes do not touch fingerprint if so your phone will never boot
Really Good Q.........
@ruscan.calin please tell me how to add/edit this in custom rom.............. if any one make custom rom how to add this in hs ROM.................
i Hope U Solve/Ans My or [email protected] Q.........
file involved is Settings-res.apk you have to add new entries in /res/xml/settings.xml or new entries in build.prop

How to build TWRP Recovery
You should be able to build CWM Recovery
[GUIDE] Build CWM recovery
Download TWRP as ZIP from github
Replace ~/android/cm9/bootable/recovery with TWRP
Modify ~/android/cm9/device/samsung/ariesve/config/init.recovery.rc
Code:
on init
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH .:/sbin // add this line
Modify ~/android/cm9/device/samsung/ariesveBoardConfig.mk
add to the end of file next to recovery stuff :
Code:
#TWRP
TARGET_RECOVERY_PIXEL_FORMAT := "RGBX_8888"
DEVICE_RESOLUTION := 480x800
TW_INTERNAL_STORAGE_PATH := "/sdcard"
TW_INTERNAL_STORAGE_MOUNT_POINT := "sdcard"
TW_EXTERNAL_STORAGE_PATH := "/external_sd"
TW_EXTERNAL_STORAGE_MOUNT_POINT := "external_sd"
TW_DEFAULT_EXTERNAL_STORAGE := true
TW_FLASH_FROM_STORAGE := true
TW_HAS_DOWNLOAD_MODE := true
TW_USE_MODEL_HARDWARE_ID_FOR_DEVICE_ID := true
TW_MAX_BRIGHTNESS := 255
TW_BRIGHTNESS_PATH := /sys/devices/platform/msm_fb.196609/leds/lcd-backlight/brightness
# End TWRP
More flags for twrp can be found on the original thread by Dees_Troy http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943625
Prepare device specific code
Code:
$ cd ~/android/[COLOR="Red"]cm9[/COLOR]/
$ . build/envsetup.sh
$ lunch //choose -> cm_ariesve-userdebug
Compile recovery
Code:
make clobber && make -j[COLOR="Red"]#[/COLOR] recoveryimage //[COLOR="Red"]#[/COLOR] CPU-Cores+1
