My main purpose to buy the butterfly is to gaming on this full hd beast, but ended up dissapointed.
1st game I try- temple run oz- playable but full of spike lag.
2nd game I try- frontline commando d day- playable and full of spike lag too.
3rd game I try- gun bros 2- totally unplayable, loading super slow, ingame performance smooth while running around, but when happen explosion or too much enemies, game will freeze for 2-3 sec.
SnapdragonS4, 2gb ram, adreno320 should be very impressive SPEC. But gaming sucks a lot on the butterfly. Others scrolling performance is smooth.

Strange, my son plays these games also (i am too old for that **** ) but i didn\t hear him complain. Should be as smooth as butter(fly) :laugh:
Are you from some other manufacturers go into this topic to put the Butterfly down (like SS fan did)? He he, just for kidding. I play some heavy 3D games such as PS3 simulation, N4SP... and everything perfect. Butterfly is so smooth, fast.

PS1 emulator is fine for me. But I just dont know why Temple Run and Gun Bros 2 lagging like hell. the graphic not really high enough. is it because i using stock rom?
If i look the results of Antutu benchmark an performance increasement of 20 procent is possible by flashing a custom ROM
Think there may be something wrong with your model. The HTC Butterfly has the Snapdragon S4 Pro (was the best in the world a few months ago) so it should be perfectly fine with games like those since they aren't particularly high on the graphics part

For Temple Run & Gun Bros, I am playing on Power Save On. Real Racing I haven't tried yet, but generally I switch off Power Save mode.
Try restoring to Factory Settings and play again. S4 Pro is a very good processor and Adreno 320 is the latest thing.

your model? mine is X920D. running stock rom. Is it i must flash custom rom to play those game smoothly?
X920D.. Stock ROM.. Not even rooted till now..
Rooting and flashing a custom ROM might increase performance, however it shouldn't be a must since the phone is really fast. I also think maybe something wrong with your phone. I have seen scores with antutu approx 22000 so i cannot imagine not be able to play the latest games......
There must be some problem with your unit. I managed to play those games on my Butterfly when I got it. Temple Run 2 did have some freeze ups but I didn't blame it on the phone but the game since heck I can play modern combat 4 and dead trigger very smoothly. Is it also possible that you have multiple apps running in the background like skype, viber, whatsapp, and others (if you see a lot of icons in your status bar's top left side)?

OK I am a huge gamer and gaming on the G2 has been a good experience in my case.
Games I play which are demanding currently(32gb isn't enough for me):
Need for Speed most wanted
GTA San Andreas
Dead Space
Asphalt 7
Dungeon Hunter
I usually play these for 2 hours tops at around 50% brightness and have never throttled
But I also play emulators:
Dolphin for gamecube games(can't play for more than 1 hour or the phone throttles and reboots)
Dreamcast (max played for about an hour so I don't know if phones throttles with this one)
when ever I play I am on wifi and have Bluetooth on because I use my moga pro power(for charging on the go), keep in mind my list is of what I am currently playing and that dolphin is super cpu intensive even on pc you need really good cooling so that to me is the perfect test my s3 can't handle dolphin and my note 3 can play for around 30 minutes but then fps drops and it's unplayable so I'd say g2 is a great phone for gaming
I noticed that the Galaxy S6 drains quite a lot of battery while playing games and I'm not talking about heavy games like MC5 or Real racing 3, I was just playing some 8Ball pool and some amazing brick..The battery goes down very fast..
Do you experience this too?

It's really a good phone, and I fully satisfied.
All games which I played ran very smoothly, but it was before I installed GTA SA on this device!
The game very slow, I have 30 fps only on the low settings, 15 on middle, and 8 on max.
But lags, all lags appear when I saw people on the screen.
Sometimes it can drop down to 5 fps.
But without people I can run it on 30 fps on middle settings!
I don't know how to reduce this really strange bug.
And I was disappointed when my phone runs games with much better graphics on 60 fps, but on gta it's like a ****.
Very funny then that I can run this game with 30 fps on max settings without any lags on my old Samsung Tab 2 with 1 GB of RAM and 2 cores on 1 Ghz!

i have no problems with ehating my i dont play high demanding games like minnecraft or fortnite or pubg so if you play 1 of these games then its normal that it makes the phone hot.... i played VR on my galaxy phone and it also got very very hot.
Maybe you should send your OP6 in for warranty.
I'm playing demanding games and the temperature never exceeds 50 degrees celsius.
