Hello Community;
New user trying to figure and udnerstand the new head unit i have purchased. Currently it is running Android 8 and i wanted to do my due-dilligance before playing around witht he firmware.
Avant 4 1024x600
Android Version 8.0
PX5-userdebug-8.0.0
MCUE_GS_V3.01_3
8core 64bit cpu cortex A53 @ 1.5
Few questions I had was;
are the components like the cpu, ram and main board upgradable? if so, I would appreciate some links i could refer too
Upgrading the firmware to Android Version 10. I can't seem to find a proper thread for my head unit. I did find for MCUD. would they be the same?
Thank you in advance.
Your unit isn't Android auto and you might need to take a little time to read the wiki and MTCD forums. Ive requested this q&a be moved to MTCD q&a.

Hi! I recently bought a chinese tablet which is actually comercialized here in Argentina under the Magnum Tech brand.
It´s a 7.85", A7 arm dual core 1.2ghz, 1gb RAM, running Android 4.2.2. It runs a little slow, and for instance when playing Asphalt 8, there is a little delay with the turning controls.
Given the specs, I guess it could run smoother an ICS or the previous SO, and even better with a custom one.
So, does anybody know where can I find the roms for this tablet?
Please let me know if you need any screenshots or any additional information.
I would really appreciate your help.
Hi,
This would be the best place to ask for help. Would be best to find out model number as well, as flashing anything that you are not positive was made for your specific device can lead to serious trouble.

Good luck!
Greetings everyone,
my apologies if I am in the wrong forum for that, if so please move the thread moderators. Thank you in advance.
I am quite new to the topic of Android Car Multimedia Systems but I have two systems (XTRONS PB76M209AP/ERISIN ES6508GD) that I would like to buy but the problem is the low Android version of 6.0. Now a friend of mine said that there might be a possibility to upgrade this android version to a newer android version 7.1+. Now I would like to know if that is a possibility with Android Car Multimedia Systems or if that is too complicated and the market for the ROMs is not big enough.
Thank you in advance for your answers and help in advance.
Hi all,
To continue development effort, dumping ROMs, developing fixes and upgrades - I urgently need an MTCD/E head unit, working or not, with or without the SOM.
If you have a MTCD or MTCE head unit available, any condition (I can fix most things) please let me know or PM.
Thanks for reading this thread an your consideration.
Thanks,
M.
Hi, everyone,
I'm looking for a new head unit with good hardware for my Ford Focus MK2 (2008, manual air conditioning). The head unit must have a fast CPU, sufficient RAM and storage space as well as DSP. The hardware should support Hal9k. A 9 inch display would also be very nice.
Thanks in advance for your help

If you want Hal9k, you need an MTCD/E which means you are in the wrong subforum. Will ask the moderator to move this to the correct subforum.

Thanks for this information. I wasn't sure if I posted in the correct subforum.
Hal9K (MTCD / E) is not a must have. So far I haven't had a headunit (pumpkin) without any bugs. In most cases they could be lived with.
You will find bugs in these units as well, believe me. I am satisfied but if you try to stray a bit from the defaults you'll soon hit into limitations.
Hope someone can help my joying headunit is only showing in 720p so not widescreen or anything
Shows though headunit reloaded correctly in widescreen and 1080p just wondering if anyone has a fix or a custom carlink apk
Unfortunately, the forum crystal ball doesnt know what you unit is and from the hundreds of made up models and brands, the seller could be selling units of different types, from different factories, despite branding with the same model name.
There are are a small number of active members in these forums, you want to be posting in a way that helps those people help you, they're likely tired of answering the same questions for new users that join, get the answer (often unanswered) and then leave.
Post screenshots from Android system information, including the MCU version when posting questions. Doing this will at least help others help you, or you might find the information has already been posted or discussed here, yourself.

Update to the latest version of the Joying firmware. It's available on their site and it should fix it.
