There are two options:
1) you purchased Redmi K30 with so called "Global ROM" (firmware from Poco X2). In this case you'll have NFC but it's removed from X2 Settings (software). So, install TWRP and flash xiaomi.eu ROM (latest so far is 20.3.5 or Stable 11.0.13.0), then flash patch for hiding root and unlocked bootloader from Google Services - and you have NFC working!
2) you purchased pure Poco X2. In this case I'm afraid you don't have NFC anyway

Magisk is a bit buggy. Fails CTS profile and stuck on bootlogo upon installing certain modules.
How do you install magisk anyway? I am currently using MIUIeu 11.0.13. Patched boot.img with magisk & flashed using Twrp. Passed ctsprofile.

Redmi K30 is the chinese version, so there's clearly chinese apps.
The bootloader is sure unlockable. TWRP, root and custom ROMs (xiaomi.eu) are available, so installing multi language ROM with no chinese apps is sure possible.
Redmi Note 9 Max... - I'm not sure that it was presented at global market... I know for sure that Redm8i Note 9s is the global version of RN9 (not Max).
Bottom line:
if you find clearly "global version" RN9 Max - and YOU'RE OK WITH NO NFC - go for it. Its advantage over K30 is bigger battery (5020 mAh vs 4500 mAh).
The major advantage of K30 is NFC (and Sony IMX 686) over the Redmi Note 9 series.
The processors (730G vs 720G) are quite on peer (730G has a bit overlocked GPU and that's it).

Well, I love my K30 (however in my particular item the screen goes a little bit into yellow shades).
The great performance, battery life, camera and NFC make it a great choice.
The only thing which is better in Redmi Note 9 series is a bigger battery. In all other K30 is IMHO a bit better.

I purchased k30 which have china rom pre installed how can i flash global rom ( poco x2 firmware) on my Chinese k30???
Is it possible to do so without unlocking my bootloader and installing twrp???
POCO X2
So if I'm using custom ROM on my POCO X2 and just in case if I want to change. Can I revert back to MIUI and still get OTA updates. Will the bootloader status be locked or unlocked? Has anyone tried doing this?

Here's xiaomi.eu website:
https://xiaomi.eu/community/
Chose MIUI 12 dowmloads or MIUI 11 stable ROMs. Then find your device in the firmware list.
Just flash it via TWRP, no "hiding" patches are needed, GPay will work at default.
If you want to back your phone into Poco x2, try these simple solutions
1. Download both fastboot rom for k30 (China) and Poco x2 (global).
2. Extract both ROMs on your computer desktop.
3. Open China rom folder then delete the images folder.
4. Open global rom folder then copy and paste images folder into the China rom folder
5. Flash China fastboot rom, it boot to Poco x2 global rom
I flashed k30 twrp and installed linage os but now stuck in bootloop , I tried installing many roms but same result, pleaseeeee help me

flash fastboot images of poco x2 https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/phoenix/
boot in miui
reboot to stock miui recovery
format data
reboot to fastboot
boot twrp
flash rom zip
reboot to fastboot
flash fastboot twrp
fastboot boot twrp
reboot to recovery from twrp menu
now boot into os by reboot to system in twrp
one time process i guess!!!

Hi, you have to unlock the bootloader first and than you can install Global or EU xiaomi rom. For asking xiaomi to unlock the bootloader of your phone HERE
I'm thinking about flashing a global miui rom on my newly purchased k30 pro zoom edition. How will the phone work regarding over the air updates if I do that? Will it be able to update just like normally?
I am thinking about official updates, I am currently on MIUI 12.0.8 and the latest global I can get from mifirm is 12.0.3. Will it work?
Hello there.
Did you manage finally to flash global Poco F2 pro into K30 Pro.Zoom?
After that, is it possible to lock the bootloader?
Thank you
Hi guys is it actually possible to switch from Xiaomi eu 12.2.3 to the latest stable Poco F2 global rom (V12.2.4.0.RJKMIXM) on my Redmi K30 Pro Zoom?
Some questions first before I go through with this.
1. Will all my data be wiped if I switch?
2. Will I finally get some security updates once I switch?
3. Do I just flash the global rom using twrp?
4. Is twrp gonna be wiped once global is installed?
5. Will ota updates actually work now?
Hoping someone can answer as well.
