Warden
Disclaimer:
Code:
Warden uses root permission to enable/disable components & de-bloat.
Use at your own risk!
Features:
Detects Trackers & Loggers across whole device
Allows to disable all trackers/loggers
Advance profile based app de-bloater
How does it work?
Warden has a static curated list of known trackers (Exodus Privacy) , each app's dex file is read to retrieve the class names, these class names are then matched with the signatures of known trackers & loggers to find them.
A list of currently known trackers & loggers can be found here & here
Loggers in the context of Warden means all utilities which are used to log user activity on an app or logcat in general. Not all loggers are evil.
But few logging tools like ACRA, xLog are very powerful tools that can send user data to devs without user's consent.
So do read the app's Privacy Policy, beforehand.
De-Bloater (Requires Root)
Warden provides a profile based de-bloater where a profile is created in a format specified as in this sample scripts
You need to place this profile/your custom profile at `ExternalStorage/Warden/Profiles` to make them appear in app.
De-Bloater is an experimental feature, will improve it over time.
Default action for debloating is 'disable' you can configure it to 'uninstall' or 'hide' from settings.
Nuke it! (Requires Root)
Nuke it! is another experimental feature that scans all apps on the device and disables all know tracker components automatically.
It also gives an option to export components names per-app basis.
Components here means: Activities, Services, Providers & Receivers
Warden uses `su pm` to manage the components.

Damn, awesome app :highfive:

This is the very best app you could possibly install. Great job!
EDIT: I wanted to take the opportunity to say hi to my mom, as I'm sure this thread will EXPLODE with comments, as this software is essential!

The app seems to freeze scanning Simple Pro.

Awesome!! Debloated, NUKED it!!! ? ?
Thank you so much!
I give it ten Stars **********

Thank you. So I created a a folder and subfolder on my SD card with the following path: Warden/Profiles. I put the .json file in there, but the app doesn't see it. Can someone tell me which folders and where I need to create to make this work?

Not on SD card but internal storage. Than in Warden tap menu->labs->debloat and chose profile to apply.
Good luck.

Bro, your app is simply awesome. A few remaining things to improve but not a Big deal.
Im already waiting for the pro version to support...
Good job

Great job! Thanks for sharing.

Beautifully designed app. One question. Is there an option to undo the "nuke it " feature?

Scanning of system apps hangs on this one: com.oneplus.telephonyoptimization

I'm already using adaway.
So does this app so more than adaway?
Could someone please help me out here.
Thanks.

Read OP. Logers and trackers are not same as ads. Apps can have hardcoded IPs of ads, logers, trackers, etc. Adaway can't help you with this. Apps like Warden or XPrivacyLua can help you by stopping "evil" actions in apps like apps from Google store.
Good luck.

It gets stuck scanning some apps like VLC
Edit: uninstalled VLC and got stuck at com.google.android.apps.pdfviewer

very interesting app!
thank you

Very good. Suggestion: report should indicate which app has how many trackers and how many of those are still enabled?

Thank you for this very useful app! I've noticed that during the scan /data/data/com.aurora.warden/cache/oat folder becomes huge with a bunch of odex files. Scanning for nearly 200 apps takes more than a GB on that folder, before getting stuck on VLC. Is this normal?

Amazing app.
Congratulations!!!

[App] Network Tools

Hi!
I have created a new application, Network Tools.
Basic idea of this app is periodic monitoring of websites, servers, routers, surveillance systems, etc. After a specified period of time the resource is checked, in case of failure user will get a warning. Such control will allow you to respond quickly to encountered problems.
You can add new resource to monitoring list, select the type and time interval between checks. At any time you can change the settings or manually check for a specific host. The corresponding commands are available on the context menu.
App contains additional tools: whois, ping and traceroute, for diagnosing network problems. For these commands there are implemented lists of previously entered addresses, so user does not need to retype them again.
Free, no ads.

Great Work!!!
Please don't take this as anything against the app, but if any admin actually relies on an app like this as the only monitoring solution for critical 24/7 servers, they should be dragged behind the woodshed and paddled. It has NOTHING to do with the app, rather the fact that mobile networks are simply not 100% viable.
That said, when there are issues (power, network etc..) with other monitoring systems, this is a FANTASTIC option. This will be part of my Android install kit forever.
I have a couple of requests:
1. A scrollable widget that shows the last result for each server/test would be cool. I will give you a full screen on my phone! ;-)
2. I need to test specific services: HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SSH. Additional service options and maybe an option to manually define ports/services would be really nice. Customers of mine that have security camera systems using a DVR often forward random ports for external access to the DVR and it would add "peace of mind" for them to be able to see that their security system is up and running.

Sure, nobody says about critical servers monitoring.
In actual app version you can use Generic TCP option with URL like http://site.com:3128, or HTTP Get option with fully qualified URL to make some tests. I understand, this is not complete test of concrete service, and have plans to add more to my app.
Now I'm busy with another private application, but, I hope, this is not forever.
By the way, you say about test services like HTTP, FTP or SSH. What exactly do you think should make the application? Any ideas are welcome.
very cool app thanks mate.
Empty message, sorry
Excellent app.. just what I was after. Thank you!

Unfortunately it looks like TheFoxute has ripped off this app (along with several other open source apps) on Google Play, with zero attribution to original authors (again). This is a well known problem with the Play store, and one reason I don't recommend using it.
So if you're looking to donate to open-source developers, know that in general "buying" from Google Play may not be supporting the developer, and worse yet, could possibly have some unwanted "extras" added by whoever changed the app and added it to Play.

Thanks for bringing this to my notice. Did not know of such cheap tricks! I will report the Play store app immediately.
EDIT: I notified both TheFoxute and the Play store support team about the infringement and the app got removed yesterday.
This badly needs an easier way to access and scroll through the records. It is so hard to tap the dots on the graph. Maybe when the info window comes up add the ability to swipe the very top to go through the records and keep the swipe at the bottom to scroll through created, deleted, changed. Or just add next and previous buttons. Also when I use the delete records from the options it does nothing, all the records are still there, and where does it save the log too also....love the concept, the UI just needs a few more options.

Thanks for the feedback!
I will be adding the UI improvements in the next version. The plot needs a refresh after data is deleted, have to fix that too.
Logging is part of the standard logcat, tag is the app package name.
Awesome, thanks. Keep up the good work.

By default it will be overwritten. But you can add custom filters within the dnsfilter.conf (see filter.host = true|false settings).
Alternativly it is possible to disable the automated filter download so that the FILTERHOST.TXT won´t be overwritten.
Just check dnsfilter.conf file for details. It contains a good documentation of the different settings.
Sorry, these might be some dumb questions, but really trying to get this to work on an Android phone running 7.1.1:
1) do I need to check "Advanced settings" in order for those settings to work? If I don't check it, I can't scroll down to view the logs, unless I'm missing something
2) Also, any reason why some of my custom entries in the "Advanced settings" doesn't work? (I put in entries to be filtered and those are still allowed in the log and entries to be allowed, but those are still blocked.) I've hit Reload filter and Restart and sometimes it works, but more often it doesn't.
3) Lastly, any reason why other times my entire "Advanced settings" erases? How can I get those entries to persist?
Thanks for putting this app together, hopefully once I know what's going on I'll be able to use it much better.

Advanced settings unfolds when clicked, set values, untick and the put in values are active but hidden in the GUI. Set a custom reload intervall for testing to see (days until next reload).
Use a text editor to edit the right files inside the pDNSf folder in your storage. You will find examples and descriptions there. Just have a look at the even more advanced settings playing around with the configuration files. Quit the client, edit files, start the client again and reload.

Yes .... better edit the dnsfilter.cfg file. In addition: the advanced settings within the GUI only allows to edit the filter URL and reload interval. In case invalid values are added, it will be reset to the previous valid entries (Check for messages in the log area)

Good afternoon:
Thank you very much for your application.
I am using version 2.5.20 : https://github.com/MuntashirAkon/AppManager/releases/tag/v2.5.20 which is the latest stable one.
Is it possible to use 2.5.24 : https://github.com/MuntashirAkon/AppManager/releases/tag/pre-v2.5.24 as stable ?
Best regards
How can i save the current list of apps? I have set filter of disabled apps , and i want to save this list.
Thanks,
Oh wow. I find this app manager convenient unlike others. Thanks for developing and posting this.
Looks amazing, thankyou.
Can you move apps to sd card?
that is some crazy good polished app, with professional documentation. By the way, Warden and TitaniumBackup or log viewer inside. Only wish it was better for active permission enforcing, i can't see how to apply app ops in batch, keep permission enforced later or apply profiles on new apps.
I've been using this for a few months. It's by far the best app manager out there. Good luck to the dev!
What happened to the telegram group? It says link invalid
I dont know if this is working as it should. Suppose i ingnored a persmission of contact to truecaller app, then app shouldnt get access to my contacts but after sometimes it resets to on. And truecaller displays all my contact names rather than their original name saved in their databases.
Now is it supposed to work like that or sending blank response to a permission request should work here..?
Thanks for the app.

Just passing by from this thread, and installed this application to see its level and found a brilliant work ..
Admirable work
Best wishes dear friend
I'd love to disable few app ops like run in bg etc for Google but there are literally no app ops available for Google when i try to open that app here (pls look at ss)
I need your help !
I clicked the the 1-CLick Ops > block trackers > no > block
Now all the apps (except system apps) won't open. Instead the android app-info opens and I have 3 options (uninstall, stop, hide). Unfortunatelly there is no more the option to open an app
It's not even possible to open the AppManager anymore
@PratapShiv Please check your inbox. Thanks a lot.
