On Android 10, the navigation bar is not hidden when in full screen mode. Both the 2 buttons one, and the one button (only gestures). Other video app's don't have such an issue. Please fix that, because now the app doesn't use all the available part of the screen in full screen mode.
I use a Nokia 6.2, with a FHD+ display (2340x1080).

Could please you check again after enabling the full-screen mode from Settings > Player > screen? It may fix your issues.

My device "it's exoticaly" and can't be buyed from any place. And i have android 4.0.4 official rom(without mods and all other like this)is rooted.
If i rotate my device to portrait when i have enabled screen rotation it go on portrait and when i disable that option screen goes back in landscape.
Does is any line of code that make a device to be standard in landscape or portrait?

It looks like system's internal problem. Are you using stock ROM?
@1923swapnil
Are you using kids lock?
I had tried out the kids lock , kids lock (touch effects) and lock but none worked for me. And yes I'm running on the stock miui rom
@1923swapnil
If you have installed & enabled the kids lock, then you have to touch all four corners of your screen in the clockwise. It will unlock the player.

Hmm. I've tried it on my Xiaomi Mi Pad running Android 4.4 but lock worked just as expected.
I will try to make a workaround for this issue but all keys will not be blocked.

I think In kids lock there won't be any dots.
Try Kidslock + touch effects
When You can touch the screen MX Player will show some animation. So you can see whether it detects touch input or not.
If it's not detecting then there might be something which prevents mx player from getting the input. We have to check which one is interfering with mx lock screen controls.
If it detects then you haven't touch the screen properly. you have to touch properly in the each edge of the screen in clockwise to unlock.
eg: Top left - Top right - Bottom right - Bottom left
BTW in lock mode (not kidslock or kidslock + touch effects) if you touch the screen there should be a lock botton on the top left side of your screen. Touching it will unlock the device.

I have tried out what you said but then also it's not working. Video players such as uc browser inbulid video player and with vlc beta version this video players lock mode works fine. I think so its a problem with mx player. Probably it's not compatible with my mobile.

Whould you try latest test build?
https://sites.google.com/site/mxvpen/translation/test-build
"Alternative screen lock" option is added under Settings > Player.
Please note that all keys might not be blocked depending on Android version with this alternation.
Feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks
Ty Sir, Yes now I'm able to use the lock and unlock feature of mx player. Ty for your support.

Would you try new version built at 16th aug?

A new screen lock mode added in addition to existing alternative.
Please try Settings > Player > Screen lock > Mode #2
Thanks.

Hmm, that's weired. I checked translation but there is no error as you know.
Maybe resource is not installed or corrupted.
Please tell him/her to completely remove and install MX Player again.
Ok.
And i get one small bug. When I lock the screen and then unlock the top bar very fast disappears. This small bug is reproduced in Mode #3 only.
I have been using MX player for quite some time on all my devices. First of all thanks and its a great app but recently I got a new phone {(Xolo 8x 1100), android 4.4} and have been facing an issue with auto hide soft buttons feature of MX player
I read on one of the forums if u check android compatibility mode in MX player settings it resolves this problem I have tried both checking and unchecking it still does not help.
Pls advise what can I do to resolve this issue.
Thanks.

I've checked images of Xolo 8x 1100 but this device looks like not having software navigation buttons.
Anyway you can force enable recognition of software navigation buttons on Settings > Player > Software navigation buttons.
Same here, i use MX player since a long time ago, never had problems until UI redesing
I tried to check navigation buttons thing but didn't work, is annoying to watch videos with buttons there...
Try:
Settings > Player > Screen > Full screen = on
Settings > Player > Screen > Soft buttons = hide
Settings > Player > Software navigation buttons
Solved
Current beta build fix this problem, thanks.
There is a bug in MX Player Pro for Android, v 1.9.24... at least, when it runs on my Pixel 2 with Android version 9. (I can give full kernel version and build number if needed).
1) When the movie starts, it sets the brightness (backlight) to medium low.
2) Swiping up-down the right side of the screen changes the volume.
3) Swiping up-down the left side of the screen also changes the volume.
Note that in MX Player (free version), swiping up-down the left side of the screen changes the brightness (backlight).
This has been broken for months!!!
I like the GUI.... I can't stand ads, so I paid for the Pro version... but the paid version has a bug that the free version does not!
OK, OK... I finally found where things were going wrong:
Apparently, my the box to optionally show the brightness control was UNCHECKED. I checked it, and now things are working as I'd like.
For others with this problem, you can check the required box either way:
From the video list window: (menu dots) -> Settings -> Player -> Controls -> make sure "Brightness" is checked.
From the video player window: (menu dots) -> Display -> Settings -> Controls -> make sure "Brightness" is checked.
Does anyone notice the auto rotation bug?
Does anyone notice that the auto rotation works sometimes even when it is turned off? It quickly goes to landscape mode and then switches back to portrait.
For those of you who didn't notice this one, Try playing a video in landscape on MX Player with Auto Rotation OFF.
Then press the back button. If I'm right the display will go back and forth between portrait and landscape mode for once.
I'm using this App in Android.

Indeed, it's a bug on the Android itself (https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/69168442) which is yet to be fixed by the google. Can you please specify the MX Player version you are using? We have already implemented a workaround for the same in the recent update.

In the newest Android UI 2 ETF5 for Note 9 there is a bug. When you record a movie in a portrait mode, then want to view it clicking from the camera app itself, then video orientation is never correct. It is always landscape.
Some shows aren't showing all episodes
Some shows not showing all episodes on firestick. Please help me whom to contact. Now I have 2 shows with this problem. Both Turkish dramas. 1. The woman. 2. Our story.

I bought a new phone (iqoo 7) after 3 years. I am not sure if this is an android issue/feature or a phone specific issue. I can't help but notice that while playing videos on twitch, prime, youtube etc. the display doesn't use the entire screen space. A significant part of both the edges is blank and it really bothers me and is not a very good experience while watching a video. If i pinch out and zoom the video to fit to the screen then it because it is zoomed, some parts/edges of the video can't be seen. I am not up to date with mobiles however i used android 8.0 in my previous phone and was always able to use the full screen while watching videos.
Please refer to the attached screenshots.

It is the default behavior of displays using punch hole cameras.
To change this go to "Settings -> Display & brightness -> Top-area display".
Then change the apps you want to be full screen from "Automatic fitting" to "Display the front camera".
It should do the trick.

It got fixed for me by choosing "Display the front camera". IDK why it doesn't work for you.
