Looking for stock rom d/l.... - Moto G7 Guides, News, & Discussion

My G7 XT1962-6 RIVER RETIN updated to Android 10 a few days ago.

When it's in fastboot mode?

Doh! Just did a dry run, not connected just to check it out.
Will give it a go tomorrow connected. Fwiw neither 'river' nor 'retin' showed on the file server....

Select flash rescue in LMSA, Boot device to fastboot mode, connect to PC
LMSA won't really do anything until a compatible device is connected.

I'll try tomoz...I got booted today! Access Denied...as soon as I logged in! Smh...

Snatched it when it finally showed...thx tho! Now if TWRP's Slot A/B handling wasn't causing backup/restore issues...smh

Now the best way to get ROM is getting through LMSA.
It's a guaranteed match of build number.
Enter Rescue mode and restart the phone in bootloader mode.
Observe the download and copy the full ROM zip to somewhere once the download reached 100%
Unpack the ROM and flash everything through fastboot
Fastbootd is NOT required.

I have the India version RETIN.. is it possible for me to flash a US version and if so, which one is it?

How ironic, first phone to get nougat and the last to get oreo. Meanwhile pie is out so you're a little late LG.
Anyway how does it perform for those of you that took the leap?
I'm not too terribly excited to upgrade to oreo unless performance is at least equal to what I am getting now.
My note 3 got slower and slower with every upgrade.

Too early for me to tell about performance. Home touch buttons now shrunk down to a more normal smaller size. Now looks like my wife's G6, very good.

I'm uploading the OTA zip right now. It's not TWRP ready it's simply the OTA straight as is so others can do whatever they need to do.

This is the OTA update straight from my V20. This is NOT repeat NOT flashable in TWRP. Do not flash in TWRP. Also this is NOT repeat NOT rooted or anything else. I am emphasizing all of this to cover all bases.
Good luck to everyone with making ROMs with this.

Just follow this it will work. After unlocking the bootloader (official or unofficial bl unlock), run the cmd for flashing the official twrp "fastboot flash boot_a twrp-3.2.3-1-NB1.img" & "fastboot flash boot_b twrp-3.2.3-1-NB1.img" then after flashing run the cmd "fastboot reboot recovery", then flash magisk for rooting.

Please give us more details. I suppose will be through local update but what version of pie will be installed? If I have an EU phone (BA) will turn it to AA?
I was on AA OB2 and it returned me to 21AA. I don't really know if it works the same for BA, but there is just one downgrade package.
After rollback, just boot .70 twrp, then flash it then magisk as usual?
I'm downloading the package, do I install it vía local update on the phone or using twrp?

Currently on 10.0.GM21AA, will Let you know what it Is after de downgrade
I'd like to know the same actually. Android 10 is not as smooth and the battery life is subpar.
All versions rollbacK or downgrade for local improvement, leave the terminal AA and because there is no difference between hardware or just software (only equalizer with 8 bands in AA) and there is only one rollback version and logically leaves the terminal in the most extended version that is the international . That is my experience so far with all rollbacK versions, except with the last one I saw in thread [MENTION=230517]Funk Wizard For the stable version of the shift
To move from AA to BA stock it is necessary to do it with the very simple tool msm Dowland. Salud2!

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate the attempt to help, this has me stumped.
I just tried that. It has the same issue, I even tried just reinstalling my current ROM and again, same issue.
It goes to the "cancel or reboot" bit, I hit reboot, I see in the background it says decrypting 0% and then it does the whole "can't download. Try again in a minute or two" which makes no sense to me because it's already downloaded.
I've no idea why it refuses to install.
I don't have TWRP on this (it's just a stock Poco F1) and I'm wanting to update it without having to go through the whole hassle of backing everything up and factory resetting it (on the assumption that would fix it).
Any other ideas why it might be doing this?
