Ambient light sensor is bad - Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Questions & Answers

Anyone else have an issue where when the lighting is "medium to low" The screen cannot decide what it wants the brightness to be? It goes up and down non stop, from about 30% down to 5% and then back up again

I get annoyed by auto brightness on all my phones. So I simply turn it off.

Same. That annoying feature is turned off on all my phones. I adjust it manually like twice a day instead.

took a screenshot because it was the best I had. Anyway I charged it not 100% maybe 80% when i get home from work. Used it a bit but not much so i was surprised when it started beeping warning me about the battery. Heres the screen shot I just took. Before how I didn't even so much as click on Tapatalk how is it possible to use that much battery if i didn't use it?

You have to kill the piece of **** app after you're done with it because it will continue using cpu cycles even when in the background.

(Q) Screen Mode

Hi everyone,
This was probably asked already, but I can't find anything related to this through search.
What is this "Screen Mode"? (See screenshot attached)
Is anyone using Dynamic mode instead of Standard mode all the time? And what is the difference? (Can't seem to notice any difference, apart from brighter colors?)

That's what it does, it changes the brightness, contrast and or the color temp. of the sceen.
If you have HD tv you will see the same option.
If you go through that you will see the affects, the note does this but not has strong.
The modes are good for different lighting and if you are watching a program/movie.

power button does not turn on/off the screen, but it may turn off the phone

What can I do? RMA? or there is solution?
edit: forgot to mention that when I unplug the charging cable it still shows charging.
Two apps i use just so i don't have to worry about the future of this phones power button malfunctioning
One app to wake using the proc sensor and one app to put lock

Also try flashing a different ROM

I have the wake up nexus app. The only downside is it runs all the time unless you have it in the background but it may be killed so I won't register sometimes.

If you reboot the phone is it ther as it turns black and comes back up? If so it sounds like a hardware problem. If it's not always there, when does is appear? Is it there in safe mode?
You need to get it replaced if it doesn't dissapear. It may be the bonding agent which has not dried, in which case it may dissapear.......
Similar example on iPhone 4, I have seen this on some HTC One X's as well.

My display keeps lighting up, Without new notifications.

My display keeps lighting up, Without new notifications.
It's like something is waking up my phone at random times, with nothing new.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Same issue here, same phone!
I had the same issue and for me it was snapchat. Go into its notification settings and turn off wake up screen.
