Op7 pro settings/utilities crashes - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Like the title says, running the Utilities within settings just closes the settings app; other setting work fine.
What might I have frozen in titanium backup perhaps?
I had gamespace frozen before, and the utilities crashed. I defrosted them, and now it just closes.
Thanks

[Heads up!] Market force close after deleting or freezing apps

I was removing and freezing the bloatware and started to get a fc when I would start the market. If it happens to you, what worked for me was going into settings/ applications/ manage applications.......... Clicked on market, and cleared the data. Worked fine after that. I did a search before I posted this and there was nothing about a fc of this nature.

[Q] android process acore has stopped unexpectedly

Okay, I saw a few of the related thresds and I can't seem to get this fixed. Root Explorer does not show in my Market so I can't get that.
I can't do anything on my GTablet, it just force closes with that error right back to the home screen and then force closes again.
If I can, I'd love to not have to wipe data (or reflash either). I can't use Titantium Backup since it force closes at the home screen.
Any suggstions?

Yeah, I had the same problem on one of my two G-tablets.
I ended up being able to use Titanium Backup and wipe my contacts data tho.
I got it fixed. Clockwork Mod Recovery and its 'backups' feature is awesome.
I did have to reconfigure all my apps, though, because my backup was after I'd downloaded them but not ran them for the first time. That took awhile, but as soon as I finished I made a backup of that so I won't have to set them up again.
so you ran titanium backup and just wipe the data for the contacts app?
Thanks. I figured out how to wipe with titanium (did email contacts and settings as those gave a blank screen.. Good as new (and enhanced with the TNT enhancement pack)

Newly Rooted: Bloatware / App removal

Just rooted and installed Perfect Storm. What app or program can I use to freeze and remove apps as well as dump bloatware?
My original rooting had a pair of apps that did this but when I switched to Perfect Storm, I seem to have lost them.
Any input would be appreciated!!
Titanium Backup, but you must buy the Pro version to be able to freeze and unfreeze! Good Luck....
I actually have titanium pro. I wasn't aware that it had bloatware removal.
THANKS!!!!
I just rooted myself and have TiBU installed. When freezing apps, it will show "Freezing [app name]" and then just sits there with the circle animation.
The app does not respond with the "menu" or "back" softkeys, and only after pressing the "search" key does it go back to the TiBU screen, with the selected app now being "frozen".
It's not a huge issue as the app does it's job, I just don't know if there's an issue when other functionality is needed.
Anyone else having this problem?

Freezing apps through Android vs. Ti Backup

I just now figured out that a lot of bloatware can be disabled through the app management section in settings. After rooting and going s-off, I found that titanium backup has those apps listed as frozen. I was just curious if it's essentially doing the same thing as titanium backup as far as freezing is concerned?
Thanks in advance.
i do see that too - freezing in TiBu marks them as disabled in the app settings, but system apps have the disable button greyed out, so you need TiBu. I checked a few system apps i hadn't frozen and i couldn't disable them.

Frozen apps with Titanium Backup still running??

Hi all,
I've been a long time user of Titatium Backup but having moved to a more stock based rom i've just started using it to freeze bloatware apps. The apps i freeze are showing up in application manager as disabled so i assumed all was working as it should. However if i click on one of the disabled apps in application manager it gives me the option to "force stop" the app (the button is not greyed out like i would have expected with it being frozen). This is true even after a reboot.
Is this how it should be??
Thanks!:good:
